Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

The first Hillary 'affinity group' 527 ad is out

by: Pam Spaulding

As I blogged earlier, deep-pocket Clintonistas, who cannot give any more money toward her effort to snare the Dem nomination, have gotten together to fund a 527, which will run ads in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The folks running the 527 are hitting up Clinton donors for $100K pledges to hit a $10M target by the end of next week.

The first ad, one planned to run in Ohio, is out of the box, via MSNBC First Read, is pretty tepid and workaday. It doesn't mention Obama by name; only the first sentence takes a crack at him...

"If speeches could create jobs, we wouldn't be facing a recession...it takes more. Senator Hillary Clinton passed legislation to bring jobs to struggling communities and worked to end tax breaks for corporations sending jobs overseas. Her economic blueprint is endorse by Governor Strickland. Tell Hillary to keep on working on solutions for the middle class. Paid for by the American Leadership Project.... "

It's kind of weak; I'm sure more desperate advisers in the Clinton campaign would love for the 527 to go negative big time. It looks like the first sentence was simply tacked onto an ad they planned to run anyway to appeal to the Rust Belt voters Clinton is counting on as her base.  I'm not sure how mentioning speeches here even addresses the challenge Obama poses to the campaign, after all the only one making speeches while the bottom dropped out of the economy is Mr. Tongue Tied himself, Dear Leader.

Then again, if the 527 group wants to really go negative on Obama, those contributing will have their fingerprints on what goes out, since, according to disclosure laws regarding 527s:

The name and address (in the case of an individual, including the occupation and name of employer of such individual) of all contributors which contributed an aggregate amount of $200 or more to the organization during the calendar year and the amount of the contribution.
What a mess.

Speaking of a messy and ugly campaign season, class act Bill O'Reilly goes on the radio and said this: "I don't want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels."

So O'Reilly *would* go on a lynching party if he did have facts?
I am utterly appalled, even for fox.  This comes a hair's breadth from hate speech imo.  It's not even a veiled expression of violence.  I guess it's the apparent fact that he feels he can be so open about advocating race-based violence that astounds me.  I really, really, want to see this be his career-ending remark.  But who and how that can be made to happen, I haven't a clue.  I'd like to see McCain, in particular, take issue with it.  It is, after all, his party's network that is inflaming racial violence.  He most of all should deal with it swiftly and publicly.

The man needs a keeper
or something.  Sheesh, his bachelor's degree is in history - did he learn nothing?

One of these days...
...Keith Olbermann should just give O'Reilly a "Worst Person For All Time" award and have done. This man is the most odious person on Faux, and that's saying something!

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

time for a fine
527 adverts are at least supposed to pretend to be about issues rather than candidates, that advert certainly doesn't.

It's time that these things actually get cracked down on and not just with token fines that are the cost of doing business.
