Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Damn Kinky Penguins!

by: Daimeon

**Update 2: The page is no longer available on the CWA website.

*Update:  I sent an email to CWA addressing the falseness of their claims and Dr. Crouse responded to me.

Daimeon, You are so right.  I realized this morning that I was thinking about another book when I said that -- ugh. But you make me realize that I haven't had our tech person get that out yet. I will do so immediately - thanks for reminding me of my intent and I apologize for my error -- ugh, I hate to mess up like that!!!  Thanks again for contacting me.  Have a great day.  Janice

Comments: In the interest of fair discourse why must your organization bear false witness about the book "And Tango Makes Three."

"Dr Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow and Director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, says most will not be surprised that this book, which exalts homosexual parenting, contains graphic sexual content, most would be surprised to learn that the book is in the children's section of many public and school libraries."

That's a bald faced lie and you know it.  There is no part of that book that is sexually explicit or graphic.  If there is please quote it to me because unless there was a page missing out of the copy I read, you've violated one of the Ten Commandments in order to further your own "pro-family" agenda.

I look forward to your response.

-Daimeon Pilcher

I call BS!  What kind of mistake is made in print and then again in audio?  What book was she thinking of?  The kiss in "King and King?"  I'll keep you posted.

-------------------------------------------------------------

In their latest piece (of crap) the overly Concerned "Women" for America have (in their homo-obsessive ways) zeroed in on the Loudon County Schools in Virginia for stocking And Tango Makes Three on their shelves for elementary students.

For shame, the kervlempt women say in their most recent audio piece wherein they describe the book as containing "graphic sexual content" and "sexually explicit."  (Is there an x-rated version I didn't know about?)

A book has been written about the "gay" penguin couple that zoo keepers blessed with an orphaned egg. And Tango Makes Three is the story of those penguins, and this book has received literary recognition. While Dr Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow and Director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, says most will not be surprised that this book, which exalts homosexual parenting, contains graphic sexual content, most would be surprised to learn that the book is in the children's section of many public and school libraries.

Seriously what book did they read?  It's a tale about a different kind of family.  No where does the book contain hot, steamy, passionate, male-on-male penguin sex. (h/t Jeremy)

We actually HAVE a copy of Tango.  It's a CHILDREN'S BOOK.  It's about as sexy as a set of LDS "angel pants."

They're not nuts, they're outright liars (or they fired this off w/o even laying eyes on the book.)

Geez
What IS it with conservatives so much against penguins these days?   First they bashed "Happy Feet" because it, quote "brainwashing our kids into believing global warming exists" and now this!  They need to get a life.

it is odd, isn't it?
i mean, you would think that they would appreciate the penguins' formal attire.  perhaps the problem is that both sexes wear tuxedos?

Concern...

Anybody up for starting ConceredPenguinsForAntarctica.com ?

I'm sure Matt Barber will feel he's qualified to work for that as well.

>^..^<

So is she going to issue a retraction?
Enquiring minds want to know!

Hmmmmm....

"I realized this morning that I was thinking about another book when I said that"

That sounds like a kindler, gentler 'I was quoted out of context' (in effect, she quoted herself out of context.)

Now I'm kinda curious which book she was thinking of.

Kat

>^..^<

Probably...
It was probably the Kama Sutra that she was thinking of. Of course, that one isn't in the childrens' library. Oh well, so she's getting a bit confused...

Wait a second!
I'm just amazed that there DOES seem to be, in fact, one WOMAN working for Concerned Women for America!

Seriously, is this the first time an actual female has been quoted as a CWA employee?

These people would shit if they ever came to my church.
At my United Church of Christ And Tango Makes Three, King and King and a couple of other wonderfully gay-affirming books are in the children's section of our library.

They are the most popular books in the section.  The children have asked the Sunday school teacher to read "The Tango Book" over and over.

That would be enough to make these hateful people's heads explode.

Penguins
No, for the hot, steamy, passionate, male-on-male penguin sex, you have to read fanfiction!

(dives back into lurkdom)

*choke*Atlantis?*sputter*
Because I'd really hate to think there are TWO fandoms with penguin!sex as a subgenre...

SQUEEEEE!!!
::fangirls at you::

Of course! (I wasn't sure if anyone else here would know...)

[ Parent ]
Oh lord, we're everywhere!
Really, I read the Blend for more than Penguin posts. Seriously!

[ Parent ]
Two male penguins having sex
My imagination won't even go there.  Dense tuxedo like feathers, frigid climate, the private parts well concealed somewhere between the legs, beak to beak, who cares ?  Brrrrrr.
