Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Quote of the day

Conservative icon Paul Weyrich, who endorsed Huckabee after Mitt withdrew from the GOP race, is wary of McCain. His advice to the Arizona senator? Suck up to the right wing or lose. Of course, Weyrich goes on to give one smacking endorsement of McCain that the Dems should use over and over in the fall:
"My concern is temperament. The man has kept his temper under control during this entire primary season... But I am concerned about temperament. As Pat Robertson said, 'We've got to be concerned about a man who blows up frequently in having his finger on the nuclear button.'"
Hmmm. makes me think of a commercial that fits Weyrich's reservations...

NOTE: another giant in the conservative movement has died. William F. Buckley passed away in his home at age 82.

Thanks for the Buckley footnote
Good Riddance.  What a jackass Buckley was.  He had that ability to say nothing with thousands of words, a favorite on Dick Cavett's show, and the conservatives ate it up, because they absolutely knew nothing.

Perhaps I'm projecting, but...
Weyrich suggests that if McCain wants to allay the concerns of conservative Republicans, he needs to pick a "young, dynamic, pro-life, and pro-family" running mate who could become his heir-apparent.

My first thought after having read that was: "Preferrably a white one with big boobs."

Is it just me, or was the person who wrote that thinking about something else at the time?

Anyway, thanks for the reminder of that commercial.

Any mention of the "gay agenda" should be met with that frame, at least when they state that we are the source of the destruction of civilizations:

All civilizations that have been liberal "embraced homosexuality" have fallen.

After of course having explained to them about the current human-civilization status, and the several billion of us who seem to be standing upright, on our own, just fine, despite their hallucinations to the contrary...

credit where its due?
I'm no fan of McCain or his policies on social or foriegn issues.  However, i do beleive in being objective and fair.

If the wackos on the right want to sling muddy attacks at one of their own, that is fine by me.  However, we should reject re-using attacks that are as ridiculous as this.

McCain survived many years in a prisoner of war camp and endured torture without cracking, confessing or giving in to the demands of his torturers.
I dont think I can think of too many other experiences that would demonstrate stability of someone's temperament.

Last I checked, none of the other candidates can say the same (on either side).
