Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Support for Same Sex Marriage in Vermont up 8%

by: JulieWaters

Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 13:40:47 PM EDT

Per Vermont's WPTZ (crossposted to Vermont's Green Mountain Daily):

MONTPELIER, Vt. --  A majority of nearly 7,000 Vermonters completing opinion surveys on Town Meeting Day said they favor same-sex marriage. 54-percent said they support allowing gay couples to marry while 37-percent were opposed.

That represents an 8-per cent jump in support for same-sex marriage in the last year, noted Johnson State College political science professor and state Sen. William Doyle of Washington County who compiles the results each March.

This is not a scientific sample intended to represent the opinions of all Vermonters, but an 8% jump in support among a similar demographic is a major deal.

answer ot my own question
is here.  Apparently a commission has been looking at whether VT CUs should be upgraded to civil marriages.
A legislative committee charged with hearing Vermonters' views on same-sex marriage will release its long-awaited report next month, but members are tight-lipped as to what its final contents will be.

The report from the Vermont Commission on Family Recognition will likely be released the week of April 15, according to its chairman, former state Rep. Tom Little of Shelburne.

Little, a Republican who shepherded the civil unions bill through the House eight years ago, said Tuesday that the report will outline the current legal framework around same-sex marriage and the comments received at eight public hearings across the state over the last six months.

"It will be in English," Little joked Tuesday, when asked about the report.

But aside from that, he's not saying much right now. That includes if the 11-member body, appointed by the Democratic leaders of the Vermont House and Senate, will make a formal recommendation that the Legislature should pursue gay marriage....

Steps Work?
The change in public opinion in Vermont suggests that we will eventually win equality.  If the VT supreme court had required marriage, the constitution would have been altered to prevent it in that state.  Instead, they created a new path with civil unions.  People have gotten used to it, and now the resistance to marriage seems without a reasoned basis.  We may not win marriage equality across all states, or even most, within the next five years, but I think the Vermont trend will be experienced in more and more states, and in shorter and shorter periods of time.  Fortunately, most of the anti-gay groups were late to realize that civil unions will lead to marriage equality and we have largely won the civil-unions-are theminimum argument.
