The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend: "a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."
He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior."
(CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)
Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).
"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:
A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist." (Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)
"A nutty lesbian blogger." (MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)
Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

I simply do not understand this. With all the true health care nightmares out there to use to illustrate why the system is broken, why does Hillary Clinton and her staff let her tell complete fables on the campaign trail?
In this case it's not sniper fire legends, but a tale being told that an uninsured woman in Ohio was denied care by a hospital because she couldn't cough up $100 -- and her baby died. The hospital has now gone public telling Clinton to stop using this story on the stump. Her high-paid staff draining those dwindling donations never bothered to vet the story to stop their candidate from repeating yet another fantasy yarn. (NYT):
Over the last five weeks, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign stump speeches the story of a health care horror: an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.
The woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.
"We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story," said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O'Bleness Health System.
Linda M. Weiss, a spokeswoman for the not-for-profit hospital, said the Clinton campaign had never contacted the hospital to check the accuracy of the story, which Mrs. Clinton had first heard from a Meigs County, Ohio, sheriff's deputy in late February.
A Clinton spokesman, Mo Elleithee, said candidates would frequently retell stories relayed to them, vetting them when possible. "In this case, we did try but were not able to fully vet it," Mr. Elleithee said. "If the hospital claims it did not happen that way, we respect that."
I love that non-apology -- as if the hospital was the fantasist in question. The Jed Report:
How do you manage to tell a story like this without bothering to check any of the facts?
Is this the cavalier approach towards the truth that she would take as president?
She is an exceptionally good prevaricator, but in the age of the internet even the best will trip themselves up, especially once their tendencies become well-known. And clearly, her tendencies have become well-known.
You have to watch the video. The confidence with which Clinton tells her story is astounding -- you'd never know that she was making most of it up as she went along.
This drip...drip...drip effect on perceptions of Clinton's honesty is showing up in the polls here in NC; our primary is on May 6.
A new poll in North Carolina - which after the April 22 Pennsylvania primary, is the next big prize on the campaign trail - says a key element in Obama's success is that the state's voters value trust over experience. The survey for the Charlotte Observer/WCNC-TV reported that only 25 percent of voters gave high marks to Clinton for trustworthiness compared to 48 percent for Obama and 54 percent for Arizona Sen. John McCain. Nearly 9 in 10 voters said trust would be a major factor in deciding how they would vote.
Surveys in North Carolina have consistently shown Obama with a big lead over Clinton, and that was underscored again today in a new Rasmussen Reports poll. The poll, conducted April 3, says Obama's lead over Clinton has now soared to 56 percent to 33 percent.

And is there anyone out there that can clear up this mystery for me -- why hasn't Clinton campaign "strategist" Mark Penn been fired yet? I'm serious -- the latest gaffe is that it was revealed that the Colombian government was a client of his firm -- and he met with officials to discuss a trade pact, an agreement that Hillary opposes. What an embarrassment -- Penn had to trot out and call it an "error in judgment," which then resulted in the Colombian government drop kicking him for showing a "lack of respect."
Again, this kind of dumb mistake/conflict of interest reeks of amateur hour -- a campaign that keeps shooting itself in the foot, so incompetent that Obama doesn't have to lift a finger. It's not as though Obama hasn't made big mistakes, but he hasn't had a continuous string of missteps like this, the kind that most seasoned political professionals avoid. It's surprising (and distressing) on many levels, since she and her husband have a lot of experience under political fire, you'd think that would translate into running a tight operation free of leaks and obvious gaffes. If you had told me a year ago that her campaign operation was going to be this shabby, I wouldn't have believed you.
What kind of dirt does Penn have on Bill and Hillary to keep his job? Really, anyone who f*cked up this much in the real world would have lost their job by now.
