Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Rush Limbaugh calls for riots at the Dem convention

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri Apr 25, 2008 at 13:00:00 PM EDT

As Richard at All Spin Zone notes, shouldn't there be an investigation by officials into this? Inciting a riot is a felony. Here's Rushbo:
He said the riots would ensure a Democrat is not elected as president, and his listeners have a responsibility to make sure it happens.

"Riots in Denver, the Democrat Convention would see to it that we don't elect Democrats," Limbaugh said during Wednesday's radio broadcast. He then went on to say that's the best thing that could happen to the country...

...Limbaugh said with massive riots in Denver, which he called "Operation Chaos," the people on the far left would look bad.

"We do, hopefully, the right thing for the sake of this country. We're the only one in charge of our affairs. We don't farm out our defense if we elect Democrats ... and riots in Denver, at the Democratic Convention will see to it we don't elect Democrats. And that's the best damn thing that can happen to this country, as far as I can think," Limbaugh said...

Richard:
Someone needs to tell me the difference between Rush Limbaugh and Moqtada al-Sadr (above and beyond the fact that al-Sadr is an ordained cleric, and Limbaugh is just an ordained asswipe).  And I want to know how Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter, etc. etc. can continue getting away with inspiring their listeners to violence, yet are never called on it by either the Republican Party leadership or law enforcement authorities.

If you feel so moved, you can contact the Colorado Attorney General's office and express your concerns.  At a minimum, inciting to riot is a serious offense.  When the call goes out from someone of  Limbaugh's stature, who has legions of loyal dittoheads hanging on his every word, it's very, very likely that his "call to arms" could motivate some right wing crackpots to action.

Note this is not an exaggeration -- Mr. Hillbilly Heroin could be in a heap of trouble. Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper realizes that a line has been crossed, saying "Anyone who would call for riots in an American city has clearly lost their bearings."

Why does Rush Limbaugh hate America?

Pam Spaulding :: Rush Limbaugh calls for riots at the Dem convention
Rush is such a class act, raising the political discourse and turning down the race rhetoric as well - we'll see more of this down the road:
Limbaugh:...Obama is holding his own against both of them - doing more than his share of the "spade" work. Maybe even gaining ground at the moment. Using not only the spade ladies and gentleman-that when he finishes with the "spade" in the garden of corruption planted by the Clinton's, he turns to the "hoe." And so the spade work and his expertise using a hoe.

caller's response
The next day, a caller asked Rush what exactly he meant with these comments, and he told her SHE was the racist! Unbelievable.

the funniest thing he said to her
was when he asserted that SHE sees race, and that he merely sees Americans.

i was like "wow.  really, Rush?  you're the colorblind one?  gotcha.  thank goodness.  because i was thinking you were a flaming pill-popping racist.  oh wait, you are?  nevermind then."

Well,
The Repugs can't win on the War, the economy, jobs, etc... so they need a distraction from the real things in life.

A true piece of work.
It takes skill to condemn the opposition as "FAR LEFT" and call for a F***ING RIOT in the same sentence.

Because a riot wouldn't be "extreme" at all. No. Of course not. Not like anyone ever gets hurt or killed in any of them.

What's he on?
Does Rush think he is so powerful that he can make statements like that with impunity?  Are his listeners so programed that some of them would actually try to instigate riots at the Democratic Convention?

That man needs a keeper and a lock on his mouth.  He's going to get himself in trouble that he can't talk his way out of.

Answers:
A) OxyContin usually, sometimes Viagra
B) Yes
C) Undoubtedly

Did that help?

It takes an idiot to raise a riot...
So it takes a riot to make Democrats look bad, it only takes a right wingnut, for example Rush, to open his mouth to the same to the republicans.

I'm sorry (not really) but to me his rhetoric sounds like terrorist propaganda to me. Funny how a Muslim, or a Gay Person, would be charged for inciting a riot, but this white, straight, "christian" republican can get away with it.

watashi no yomeiri wa doko desu ka

The scariest thing...
Is that there are people who take him seriously.

What sort of sponsors back riots? I'd hold them liable, also, should anything happened. After all, they're paying for him to put out this drivel.

Scary is right
Take a look at the poll on the on the Denver TV channel page linked above:

"Do you think Rush Limbaugh crossed the line when he hoped for riots during Denver's DNC convention?"

Choice  Votes   Percentage
Yes.    5602     31%
No.   12711   69%

[ Parent ]
a startling number, but not surprising number
Internet polls don't really measure public opinion, they measure organization.  Posting the poll link on right wing websites will turn out the pro-Rush brigades, especially if people on those sites talk up the poll and keep it visible.

BTW, the percentages are now
Yes: 27%
No: 73%

If you want allies, you have to be an ally.

Let them eat Cake!
I mean riot.  If they did it would insure the migration of the middle to the Democratic side.  Cause division between the far-right and the Repubs, who will then have to regroup.  And overall be a good thing for us.

And, at this point, I don't care if some of the far right idiots get bonked in the head with a tear gas can.

If a gay activist went on the air and
called for riots at the convention to protest DOMA and DADT, every Tom, Dick and J, Edgar in the country would be on his back by now.  But the right-wing hate-spreaders get away with it every time.  I wish they'd tell us how they do it.  Could it be that their employers, the people who own the media, aren't really liberals after all?

Cynic, n.  A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
-Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary

You think perhaps...
That major publicly traded corporations aren't giant bastions of liberalism? Really?

I think he was being sarcastic

I hope so.
But some may not have even known he was.

[ Parent ]
Yeah, I got the sarcasm...
And was responding in kind.

I don't buy the 'liberal media' myth. (Or should that be 'librul medya'?)

[ Parent ]
Just checking. :-)
The media hasn't been liberal for years, it's been like a sci-fi movie seeing them slowly turn into pod pundits who look like real journalists with minds of their own, but have been crow-think programmed by Rove et al.

McCain has how many homes?  Flies on what kind of jets?  Is married to how wealthy an heiress?  Yet Obama is charged with elitism, and the press eats it up and spits it out.

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

The MSM doesn't have News
They have Infotainment.

Telling the truth doesn't sell the soap. Plus people don't like to hear the truth.

Then, suddenly, Americans are amazed when (as predicted outside the MSM) the housing market crashes or (as predicted outside the MSM) the oil prices surge during an administration tied to the oil industry or (as predicted outside the MSM) we're in a quagmire in a country unconnected to any terrorist events on US soil.

[ Parent ]
Rush is wrong.
1. I can't wait for the Feds to bust Rush Limbaugh's ass for inciting a riot.  Don Imus' "nappy headed ho" remark haven't incited anything, but this is serious and this is a perfect reason to get Limbaugh off the radio.

2. Limbaugh's head is stuck back in 1968.

He's not the only one
Chris Matthews totally embarrassed himself on The Daily Show hawking his idiotic book about life being like a political campaign when he veered into weird territory, claiming that 1) Clinton got lots of girls in college because 2) he pretended to listen to them (which politicians do).

He revealed what a loser he was (and obviously still thinks himself to be in his heart of hearts).  And Stewart rightly skewered him by saying, "Maybe Clinton was interested in what they had to say."  Matthews gave one of his typical braying laughs and throughout the interview, which he complained was too tough, he seemed completely off-kilter.  How could anyone not treat him as the media god he is?  It was very strange to see the veil drawn aside and realize Matthews is still stuck in the 1960s, wishing he had been cool.

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

Not "inciting"
He's on OK legal (though not moral or ethical) ground for now. "Incitement" requires that there be a clear and present danger of imminent lawless activity. Encouraging a gathered mob to riot is incitement. Advocating that a bunch of scattered people stage a riot several months in the future isn't.
