Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Breaking: Tide Turns On Superdelegates

by: Autumn Sandeen

Fri May 09, 2008 at 16:16:50 PM EDT

To the surprise of probably no one, Sen. Obama has pulled ahead of Sen. Clinton in the number of superdelegates.

Senator Barack Obama has passed his opponent, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, in the count of superdelegates, the first time since the outset of the race that Mrs. Clinton has lost the lead in one of her few remaining trump cards.

Mr. Obama picked up endorsements on Friday from four more superdelegates, the Democratic Party insiders who are granted autonomy to support whomever they wish at the convention in August. One, a New Jersey congressman, switched his allegiance away from Mrs. Clinton, allowing the Illinois senator to pull ahead of his rival, according to the latest New York Times count.

The Times's tally shows Mr. Obama with 264 superdelegates against 263 for Mrs. Clinton, based on telephone polls The tide turnsconducted with CBS News as well as public endorsements. A separate count by The Associated Press shows Mr. Obama still trailing by fewer than four votes. And a measure by ABC News shows the Illinois senator already ahead, 267 to 265.

The tide turns in yet one more election metric -- in Sen. Obama's favor.

Say goodnight, Gracie.
It's O-VAH!

Delegate Counter
What's really interesting is if you go to CNN's Delegate Counter:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITI...

and give Clinton 70% to Obama's 30% in the areas that she's expected to do well in, W. VA, Kentucky, and Puerto Rico, the odds are so against her that the writing should be on the wall to even her.

I heard one talking head speculate that the Clinton's are so tenacious that they'll take this to the convention floor in August.

My guess is that after S.D. and Montana are done in June, if not before, the pressure on her will be so great, she'll have to quit or run the risk of having no friends left in Washington.  Loyalty only goes so far among politicians.

Clinton is tenacious, but not stupid.
Unless there is some major upset at the May 20th primaries, I'm guessing she will bow out that night.  Clinton is too consummate of a politician to tick off too many of the people she needs in the future.  I hope that Obama is smart enough to offer her a major position in his administration.  I have no doubt that if he is the nominee, she will be a tireless campaigner for him.

PS
She could be Secretary of State?  Ambassador to the UN?

Bill could run for her seat.  So to speak.

9 superdelegates
The count just went up for today:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200...

That's as of around 6:50 EDT (or EST or whichever we're in).

As for Clinton in the administration, bad idea.  She has her power base in the Senate and I would hope she's expand it.

That's why
I really liked your idea the other day, Lev- it was an elegant solution on many levels. It would be interesting to see how Clinton in charge instead of Reid would play out...

I don't know.
Given her atrocious behavior during this nomination fight and her less-than-stellar Senate voting record, I just don't trust her.

[ Parent ]
But Senators may forgive her her "hubris"
Since so many of them think they could be President themselves.

And she is respected by the GOP for knowing how to work across the aisle and for her study of the Senate's arcane rules.
