Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Talk of Hucka-veep resurfaces

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue May 13, 2008 at 09:00:00 AM EDT

The rapist/murderer-releasing, Christian Reconstructionist-supported, Man-On-Dog wannabe, former Arkansas governor, and Baptist minister-without-a-theology-degree Mike Huckabee is back in the news -- at least at U.S. News & World Report, in its Capital Commerce column.

A top McCain fundraiser with access to McCain's inner circle, as well as one of those infamous "top GOP strategists" are saying that the Arizona senator has Pastor Huck at the top of his VP pick list. U.S. News's  James Pethokoukis on the purported logic of picking Huckabee.

1) He is a great campaigner and communicator who could both shore up support in the South among social conservatives (Huckabee is a former Baptist minister) and appeal to working-class voters in the critical "Big 10" states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio.

2) As any pollster knows, voters search for candidates who "care about people like me," and Huckabee would probably score a lot higher on that quality than millionaire investor Mitt Romney. Plus, given all the turmoil on Wall Street, 2008 would seem to be a bad year to pick a former investment banker for veep.

3) Economic conservatives and supply-siders may balk, but the threat of four years of Obamanomics and higher investment, income, and corporate taxes might be enough to keep them on board.

More below the fold.
Pam Spaulding :: Talk of Hucka-veep resurfaces
As I said earlier this year, by naming Huck, who wants to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards, as his VP, McCain ensures 1) there's someone younger on the ticket, and 2) he's got a "true believer" that would appease even Daddy D. The nightmare scenario of course is that McCain wins the general, he kicks it while in office, and we have Mike Huckabee, pastor-in-chief, a man who wrote this in his book Kids Who Kill" in 1998:
"It is now difficult to keep track of the vast array of publicly endorsed and institutionally supported aberrations--from homosexuality and pedophilia to sadomasochism and necrophilia."

and this:

"I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural and sinful lifestyle. That's millions of Americans."

and...

"Lawrence v. Texas is an extreme example of judicial activism. It could, in fact, be inappropriately used to attack our marriage laws nationwide."

plus...

"I think the radical view is to say that we're going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal."

Hucksterism
I think it would be a great choice--if McCain wants to drive away independents, women, liberals on the fence and Clinton diehards.  Huckster's record will hot stand up under scrutiny: he's not only extremely rightwing, he's corrupt, one of the most corrupt governors in recent history.  All of that will come out.

The rapist/murderer-releasing, Christian Reconstructionist-supported, Man-On-Dog wannabe, former Arkansas governor, and Baptist minister-without-a-theology-degree
...that about sums it up

All the more reason why we need an Obama - Clinton,
Clinton - Obama ticket.

Science fiction
I'd be scared if we hadn't already come through 7 plus years of an idiot presidency.  Huckabee on the Repug ticket is like a science fiction script for a tv pilot.  That and a Bob Barr Libertarian candidate.  The plot thickens.  If people vote for that combo, continue to vote against their self interest...this country will be like sci-fi.

Aren't we there already?
I mean who can tell the Cylon skinjobs from real people any more?

That explains it all :-)

Oh come on...
Bring back the clown car photo- had no clue who the schmuck in the picture was at first! ;)

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

here you go, Louise
Huck in the clown car:

Thanks Pam!
Am saving this for my background...

I have a hard time believing that the corporate side of the Republican
party would stand for Huck as VP, for the very reason that McCain might kick the bucket. Huck is too unpredictable.

I've always thought
Huck would be McSame's first choice for V.P.  It would give McSame the conservative wingnut street cred he'll need to emergize the Right in November.  Obviously he needs to appeal to both independents and wingnuts, but I think he needs the latter more.

you mean 'latter more' saints?
oh wait.....that'd be Romney.

It is odd
to see the financial community so afraid of Obama under the circumstances since the solutions offered by McCain et all ae largely those that have been failing since the Bush administration began; huge tax cuts for the wealthy did not stop the economic slide.

Leaving republicans in charge of the economy did not work well in 1929.....

Perhaps Wall Street might figure out finally

Financial community
Maura, I thought that I'd read Wall Street was giving more money to Obama and Clinton than The Mark of McCain.  And more to Obama than Clinton.  But now I'm not sure.  I'm reading The Savage War of peace and my head is full of Algerian facts.
