Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Huck jokes about gunman aiming at Obama

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri May 16, 2008 at 16:30:00 PM EDT

I don't care how hilarious rapist/murderer-releasing, Christian Reconstructionist-supported, Man-On-Dog wannabe, former Arkansas governor, and Baptist minister-without-a-theology-degree Mike Huckabee thinks he is, this isn't funny. We've already seen the yahoo vote unapologetic about the fact that they'd never vote for a black man -- and plenty of them have an NRA card.

During a speech before the National Rifle Association convention Friday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky, former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee - who has endorsed presumptive GOP nominee John McCain - joked that an unexpected offstage noise was Democrat Barack Obama looking to avoid a gunman.

"That was Barack Obama, he just tripped off a chair, he's getting ready to speak," said the former Arkansas governor, to audience laughter. "Somebody aimed a gun at him and he dove for the floor."

After all, look at what a Freeper posted yesterday in response to the marriage equality ruling in California. These folks are sick.

the "reverend" has forgotten jesus.
shocking that a 1) reverend and a 2) presidential candidate would joke about presidential candidates being assassinated.  what a sick dish.

Lurleen on Twitter.

DAMMIT
This is EXACTLY the kind of shit that finally forced me off the Independant fence, when I heard how Secret Service decided "oh what the fuck" in Dallas and stopped properly protecting Mr Obama.

NO MORE. NEVER AGAIN. American lost 2 Kennedys, lost Dr King, lost countless other lives.

We will have hope. We must. It cannot be ripped away again.

It's inconceivable this man is considered Vice Presidential material.

That Rev. Huckabee should make such a comment is astonishing, given America's horrible history of violence against, and oppression of African-Americans.

God that's scary
...talk about putting a bull's eye on someone's back.  How does someone capable of letting that out of their mouth become a national political figure? The answer can't be too far from the answer to the question of how Freepers became sick enough to post something like the above.

God that makes me angry. It ought to. It's a direct statement that I(we) deserve to be shot. Christ. That's sick. I'm not about to propose equivalent reciprocation though.

What's really rich is that these freeper types love love love hating one of their big brown phantom menaces, the "Islamo-fascists-teraaist" without possessing the capability to understand their own extremism.

Electricity's for light bulbs!

Some of the comments
on the CNN political ticker site are themselves unbelieveable:

Wouldn't a normal person take cover if a gun were aimed at him?

I don't get the joke.

Really. "Don't get it"? Are you fucking kidding me?

Another good one:

cnn must have made an error on this report. Nobody especially a once serious candidate would actually be that stupid to say that. On top of that a Christian one.

Yeah, because being a Christian of course means you are intelligent or at least caring of your fellow human being, right??

Pfffft!!!!! The problem is that the second commentor will go
The problem is that the second commentor will go to his/her grave believing that CNN erred in that story. That's the only way most of these people can justify supporting these evil, heartless individuals: To deny to themselves that they ever say or do such things and to pretend that they must be good people because they are xtians. Might as well stick their fingers in their ears and go "LA< LA, LA, LA, LA LA....."

Same mentality
as my idiot BIL, who insists that 9/11 was all staged.

Are you sure it wasn't?
I think it would be very enlightening for most of the readers here to watch the fairly new movie "Zeitgeist" that investigates 9/11.  You can download it in "mini" and watch it for free.

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com

I first watched it with some skepticism and still admit I have some questions, but the load of evidence and testimonials presented are worth hearing.  First it deals with religion (that alone is worth watching!), then 9/11, then a bigger picture US history and world wars & catastrophies. and who profits from them.  Honestly it opened my eyes, but I've been out of the first world loop for quite a few years. Check it out for yourselves.  My neighbor lent it to me.  I lent it to several others and they were as shocked/enlightened as I was.

Thanks for all you do Pam!  Go California!!!

Everything the GOP touches
Everything the GOP touches has been twisted and perverted into a partisan attack and smear machine. The "joke" was carefully designed to de-humanize Obama but to stop just short of inciting to violence. When cHuckabee issues his non apology apology, don't even be tempted to be mollified. This isn't a "slip of the tongue" or an "unfortunate choice of words". I have zero doubt that the whole thing was designed and planned beforehand. The noise from backstage was the act of a conspirator to set up cHuckabee's "joke". The good news is that the GOP believes that after failing, the answer is ratchet up the acts that caused them to fail in the first place. I.E. When the voters reject conservative ideology, they become more conservative as a solution. That must be a common trait in politics. For the last several cycles, the Democrats did the same thing by following the same strategies that made them fail previously. People like Steny Hoyer and Rahm Emanuel are still determined to follow the same plan that has failed for the Democrats before. At least now the GOP is doing the same thing and there are finally some Dems who recognize that when you try something and it fails, you don't try that again, you adapt and you approach it differently. None of our politicians understand this because so very few of them have ever had to struggle before in their lives.

Another thing: I wonder what would happen if any of us made a similar "joke" about cHuckabee? No need to even speculate what the reaction would have been if it had been Obama talking about cHuck.....

Exactly. The GOP, with its morally bankrupt politicians, it's ethically-challenged
"base" and it's dependence on the dominionist loons and empire building watchedtoo-many-Rambo-movies surrealists, is going to struggle to engage in any kind of coherent debate on issues that matter to the American people. They just don't know how to do it and have nothing to offer as real solutions.

We expect the same fear-and-smear baloney, but people struggling to put food on the table and gas in their cars are getting wise to the ruse, and no amount of pontificating on their white male-monopolized radio "talk" shows is gonna change that reality.

The Right has always been delusional at its extremes. They never accept responsibility for their behavior or for their mistakes - and if they thought they could get away with it, they'd pin the last eight years on Bill Clinton.

It's time for the GOP to realize we need adults running this country - not ill-mannered, paranoid schoolyard bullies who are constantly making reckless decisions because they can't stand to look at themselves in the mirror.

Christians are lousy comedians.
What happens if I bust a cap on Suckabee's ass and claimed that Jesus made me do it?  That would probably be funny.

Not suprising
That putrid squirrel munching bible thumper who was advocating quarantine CAMPS for People Living With AIDS thinks assasignations are fodder for his lame ass jokes.
Lets put it this way Huckabigot, I could care less what day or year you finally take a dirt nap, but the minute your headstone is in place, my dog will walk by and lift it's leg on it.

"race, taste. and History finally overcome....and you ain't there"

Obama should shove that comment down the repig's throats
Obama should use video footage of his daughters and Michelle, then play the sick f*cking voice over of Huckabigot.

the only pay off of Huckabee's joke
He made himself TOXIC WASTE and no campaign would ever invite him to be VEEP or a cabinet position. He probably also made his possible speaking tour dry up and DIE.

I don't know
I don't know if I believe that he jumped the shark on this. The wingers will just love him all the more. I don't think he'll be gone after this. I am somewhat encouraged that it apparently only got a somewhat muted response though. Maybe you're right and even the zealots find that tasteless.
I still say it was planned all along....

it's all over the net when you search huckabee,,,news
NEWS columns are on sites EVERYWHERE and video link on CNN, Huckabee just kicked a wasps nest, and there will be a firestorm all weekend.

You may be right
I saw Tucker fucking Carlson say how reprehensible it was. At first he tried to defend cHuckabee but then he rejected the notion that it could be defended. I've never seen anything like that from Carlson.

DRUM the media with MEAN-SPIRITED
MEAN SPIRITED should be a mantra spoken to the MSM like a unrelenting drum beat, and showing footage of McSame all buddy buddy with Huckabigot will sink McSame in the polls.

"race, taste. and History finally overcome....and you ain't there"

the joke was sick but...
we all know that deep down, in the back of our heads, it is something that we fear. It has been there since Iowa. It reflects the truth of our society. There are many people out there who do not think with their brains, but with their "manhood" or their false convictions - usually both - if you can call that thinking.

I remember reading a piece by an African-American journalist immediately after Iowa (his name escapes me) who described his wife and stepson watching Obama's speech along with him. His wife turned her head to the wall, covered her eyes, and said that she couldn't watch because she was afraid of what might happen.

The next day, the journalist spoke with some of his friends who told him that they had the exact same thought - there might be someone out there with a gun!

It's a sad comment on the country and world we live in when someone has to turn their head or hide from their beliefs out of fear. Of course, those of us, some more than others, who read Pam's House Blend know all too well what that is like.

Sometimes the sadness overwhelms me...

The non-apology apology
The non-apology apology I mentioned earlier? cHuckabee just issued it. Sometimes predicting these bastards is just too easy.

That picture constitutes a death threat
...and the person who posted it should be investigated accordingly. How come they get paranoid about dark skin but a gunman can just walk about threatening people?

Later on in that video...
Huckabee is talking about governing ourselves, and not needing laws to tell us what not to do.

HOORAY! Huckabee is against DOMA!

Right?

Hello?

That "rooftop voting" pic
was equally sickening.  And clap your hands if you believe that any church in this country would take that poster to task for it. So much for moral leadership.

Reading the comments on that thread was infuriating, but a few were marginally entertaining: "we're doomed", "that's why I homeschool," "California is beyond hope; let the Mexicans have it" and "Can we just find a state and secede NOW?". One voter wanted to know, first and foremost, if "Rush" had mentioned it and "more importantly has he commented on this?"

An apology is not enough...

for a supposedly "reverend" to make a comment like that. It was intentional and anything intentional an apology is not enough.

You don't just purposely belch a loud belch and then say "excuse me". That's for when on slightly slips out. Or, you don't intentionally bump someone hard and then say "Oh, I'm sorry" or "excuse me". I had that done by aggressive and bullying people before and it's not excusable.

I'd rather be a lion for one day, than a sheep for my entire life.
