for violence in the media.  Go to www.ftc.gov and click on consumer complaint in the upper right hand corner.

I'm all for free speech

but this crosses a line. Can you imagine the chagrin of the neocons if somebody said the very same thing about McCain? There would be resolutions in Congress. In fact, that's not a bad idea. I think Pelosi and Reid should introduce bills to condemn FAUX "News". After all didn't MoveOn get condemned just for calling a general "Betrayus?" Somehow I think wishing for two peoples' deaths is much further over the top than corrupting someone's name.

I knew that the level of stupidity would be high on the meter when she started going in immediately about "the media".  That she made that other comment just made her sound even more stupid.  It is a complaint about Hillary Clinton doing that same thing, is it not?  What will "the media" do about this?  You know how they are biased and persecute neo-cons so much.

Why is anyone suprised by this,

  It is Faux News.  The viewers are the Freepi and the KKK along with nut case religious fanatics who thrive on this kind of garbage.  

 We will see more and more of this because that is what their viewers want.  It totally outrages any thinking person.

 Sure Hannity, Limbaugh, and such on the radio have their faithful followers.  They are the same people watch Faux News in the evening.  They tune in just in time to catch Brit Hume and his sad sack of right wingers.  Skip Shepard Smith to eat dinner, than for the final two hour line up of Bill O and Hannity and Colmes.  Famous so called objective analysists such as Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich and Dick Morris and there you have a Grand Ole Party.  Then add special guests Ann Coulter, Rick Santorum, Tom Delay, Pat Robertson, James Dobson and Peter Lebarbera and it turns into an orgy.

Now if

this were a discussion where they were discussing "knocking off" a sitting President, the entire channel would be shut down, the FCC would be shitting kittens, and the public would be screaming for blood. FBI would be all over the place; federal charges would be brought- none of these people would see the light of day for YEARS.

So WHY is the level of tolerance in America/ MSM greater because they were discussing a presidential CANDIDATE instead?

This is really, really messed up.

A Follow-Up

Well, it is 1:02 p.m. EDT, and 10,325 Diggs have been made on this item.

But nothing has appeared yet in any of the MSM, and I doubt anything ever will.

Ms. Trotta was interviewed on Fox this morning as if nothing had ever happened. Then AFTER all of her commentary, her interviewer mentioned that some people hadn't cared for something she had said the previous day. She said she was sorry for her lame attempt at humor.

I love the commentator's response: "Clarification noted."

"We rounded up all the Jews and killed them because they are the scum of the Earth. But if anyone was offended, we apologize," said Adolf Hitler remorsefully on Fox News this morning.

"Clarification noted."
