Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Clinton Summons Top Donors, Supporters For Tuesday Speech.
Hillary Clinton has summoned top donors and backers to attend her speech tomorrow night in an unusual move that is being widely interpreted to mean she plans to suspend her campaign and endorse Barack Obama.  Obama and Clinton spoke Sunday night and agreed that their staffs should begin negotiations over post-primary activities. In addition to help raising money to pay off some $20 million-plus in debts, Clinton is known to want Obama to help out black officials who endorsed her and are now taking constituent heat, including, in some cases, primary challenges from pro-Obama politicians.

"This has never happened before," one donor said, referring to the personalized request by email to attend the event in New York Tuesday night.

Of course, suspending the campaign does not mean folding the tent and packing it up. Anything could happen if negotiations don't work out between the two camps.

UPDATE: Then again, maybe that trial balloon just popped.

Ken Vogel reports from the Clinton bubble a Clinton spokesman is pushing back on the notion of a concession soon, something even many of her aides and top supporters now expect.

Hillary Clinton will not drop out of the presidential race Tuesday or in several days that follow, the spokesman,Mo Elleithee, said Monday afternoon.

"It's pretty clear that she's not conceding," Elleithee told reporters on Clinton's campaign plane en route from Rapid City, S.D. to Sioux City, Iowa.

Instead, Elleithee said Clinton would be "aggressively courting" superdelegates and "putting together the next phase of the campaign," which he said could include campaign events around the country.

Oh please
please please please let this be over. Let us take aim at McCain.

fingers, toes, and eyes crossed....

Now is the chance
for Hillary to show a ton of class. If she endorses Obama and encourages her very energized and loyal supporters to do the same, it will ensure that history remembers this moment with a rosy glow.

If she is bitter and nasty, history will remember this with a glaring spotlight that shows every flaw, every line in her face, and every vein in Bill's bulbous red nose.

It is also the time for Obama to show some real class. He has conducted himself very well of late, not rising to the bait as HRC and her followers have become more and more shrill. He could go a long way toward healing the party if he thanks her for being a good competitor and an excellent sparring partner. He is a better candidate now than he was six months ago. He is a better debater. He has learned a great deal about how to handle himself under pressure, how to think on his feet and how to stand his ground without seeming stubborn or arrogant. And he has Hillary to thank for those lessons.

I have no idea what kind of back-room deals are being cut right now to smooth this thing out, but I hope they do not give too much of an appearance of a sell-out on either side. Hillary could be a huge asset to the Obama administration, but Bill could be a huge distraction. Perhaps they could offer her a cabinet seat and him an ambassadorship. Far away. But I digress.

Now is the time for both sides to come together, make nice and move forward. Please, oh please let them do it.

Suspending the campaign does not mean she will endorse
She may well just suspend (not concede) in hopes of having some "complication" occur that would drive the superdels away from Obama.

Even so, with a suspension of her campaign, if she is anything less than gracious AND conciliatory she may well find superdels pledged to her may reconsider and decide to back Obama.

Hillary has created a rift with decisive language against her fellow candidate.  The onus is on her to try to start healing that rift.

P.S.  I love that fact that Obama is holding his announcement tomorrow night at the very spot that McSameLame will receive the repug nod in a few months...

I've been holding off making a donation to Obama
until I'm positive that it won't be going towards paying off the Clinton campaign's debts. Call me cheap if you want, but I believe that people that rack up a campaign debt in the millions but have a personal value in the tens of millions shouldn't be looking for handouts to retire that debt. I want my money spent on defeating McSame and the repugs.

i will be FURIOUS
if a single dime of my contribution to obama goes towards paying off hillary's financial flippancy in her vile and mismanaged campaign.  she was broke a LOOOOONG time ago and made the foolish decision to continue to run on debt??  that debt was used to directly sabotage obama's chances in the fall.  bad enough, but the idea that she won't take personal accountability for the consequences is outrageous.  she should have dropped out, and this 20 mil in debt is no one's problem but hers.  i hope to god she does the noble thing by not demanding reimbursement to her vast wealth from small donors who intended that money to be used for better purposes, but i've come to expect nothing but selfishness and delusions from her.

The gays stole my lunch money

November
You know, I don't want to pay for her campaign either, but I'd say to you the same thing I say to the Hillary fanatics. We need to do whatever it is we need to do to get someone sane into office in November.

[ Parent ]
No way, so don't worry!!!
Money contributed to the Obama campaign cannot, repeat, cannot be passed on to Clinton's campaign.  That's against the law and will not happen.

Helping her retire her debt can happen by Obama requesting money from his own donors to help her, but frankly, it seems like wasted money to me. I'd rather see more money go into the fight against McBush.

All I can say...
...is don't hold your breath.

Of course it is over...BUT
That doesn't mean that there is a concession speech coming Tuesday...

Unless we hear from say 40 of the SD's before 8 PM putting BA over the top by the time they speak this will just be a great big "Thank you"

Even then, given that HRC has been saying recently that SD's can 'change their minds anytime they want' I think we are stuck with her until Denver -

Unless she gets the VP slot and considers that enough to stop this insanity.

HRC as VP = victory in November

Question:  What does an atheist do when they fall to the floor and start "speaking in tongues"?

Answer: Get a CAT scan.

She's like
the monster in a bad, cheap horror movie.  Every time you think it's over, she comes back from the dead one more time--only to die again, and rise from the grave again to commit some new outrage.  We haven't seen the last of the Freddy Kruger candidate yet; she will keep coming back till the last frame of film has run out of the projector onto the screening room floor, and has been carted off to be made into mandolin picks.

I am not interested in picking up crumbs of compassion thrown from the table of someone who considers himself my master. I want the full menu of rights.  -Archbishop Desmond Tutu

This is getting ridiculous!
If she thinks people are going to admire her for being tenacious, she needs to think again.  I'm feeling downright embarrassed for her with all the rhetoric coming out of her campaign in the last couple of days.  If she doesn't get out TOTALLY this week, she's going to look as nutty as one of her unhinged supporters that were at the meeting on Saturday.

did anyone receive this in their email inbox today?
From someone calling themselves "ANORACLESWORLD":

Your last chance for Women's "Equal Rights!

Never again will most women voters in this upcoming Election have an opportunity to
choose a WOMAN as a Presidential Nominee, with a chance to be PRESIDENT!
Don't lose the one opportunity you may have in your lifetime, to finally bring the equality of:

"Equal Rights"  for women?  It is guaranteed by the US Constitution!

Consider for a moment that:
Women in 2008 are still fighting for 'Constitutionally guaranteed' "Equal Rights"!

Women are not fairly represented in the US Supreme Court! 1 woman---8 men!

Women were granted  the "Right to Vote"  50 years after  Afro-Americans!

Women are still paid much less than men when doing the very same job!

Most all State, and Government executive offices are held by men!

Women have never held the office of President of the US!

Women are not fairly represented in Congress!

Chauvinist men revel in their power over women.
Men vote for men, and against women.
Oddly, some women vote the same.

You can help!      Promote  &  VOTE    Hillary!

  43 men----0 zero women!

Twenty four (24) years is eternity!   (Last women candidate!)
----------------------------------
If you really care for justice and equality Hillary is a MUST!

What really bugs me...
...is this meme that Hillary is "the last chance" to elect a woman president in our lifetimes. There are so many talented, principled women rising through the political ranks that it will happen soon. And I, for one, will be glad that it's someone other than Hillary blazing that trail.

[ Parent ]
Yep. PELOSI for PRESIDENT!
Or Boxer, Or Feinstein.... anyone but Hillary.

It's the Hammer of JUSTICE,
It's the Bell of FREEDOM,
It's the Song about LOVE between,

...All over this Land.

Boxer, now that's my kinda woman.
Barbara Boxer is 4 feet 11 inches of Hell on Wheels. One of the few people in this country (Robert Byrd included) that has guts to stick to her principles. Can't say that about Feinstein but Barbara, she's a scrapper. When I moved from Cali back to Texas, I wore my Boxer t-shirt till it ripped from wear.

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me. Hunter S.
