The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Faux News' E.D. Hill's asinine 'fist bump' terror alert

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue Jun 10, 2008 at 07:30:00 AM EDT

Fox News' America's Pulse host E.D. Hill must have gotten an associate-Obama-with-terrorism-at-all-costs memo from upstairs, as she desperately tried to interpret the "fist bump" between Michelle and Barack Obama in a unique segment featuring a "body language expert."

Now I don't know why the fist bump is worth dissecting, but if it's some sort of secret signal to fellow terrorists, then I guess my governor, Mike "Pansy" Easley (who received one yesterday when Obama swung through Raleigh), should be on some sort of watchlist:

Fist bump makes you a terrorist?!
Sheesh, this is really getting nutty. I suppose that means I and a particular set of friends of mine would also be suspected terrorists too when we fist bump? If I was able to think of a stronger word than 'asinine' I'd be suggesting it right now.

It's tradition, that makes it okay. Hip-hip hurray it's weasel stomping day!

Racist
Flat-out racist suggestion. That has been a greeting in African-American culture for longer than I can remember. But then all of his imaginary boogeymen probably look alike, I'm sure it's hard for him to keep all the stereotypes organized. Seeing as it has since been co-opted into white culture, Hill better be prepared to ship the cast of Superbad and most of Hollywood off to Guantanamo.

asinine indeed
In what is probably totally typical ignorance from a white person, I had no idea that this gesture had its roots in African-American culture.  In any case, my friends and are on the Gitmo list, too.  And seriously, if you've never seen this gesture before, or you find it threatening, what kind and size of rock have you been hiding under?  The commentary on the clip is hilarious: "Is this a signal that young people get?"  ha!

Wiki
...says the origin is likely from Fred Carter during his NBA days, or possibly a mutation on "Wonder-Twin Powers Activate!" (though that isn't quite the same thing,) both from the 1970's. I remember being taught how to do it as a small child by several of my mother's students at Acadia High School in Florida over 30 years ago. It and other non-WASP greetings interested me much more than the death-grip handshake my father made me practice so that I wouldn't appear effeminate in public.
I see it as racist, or at the least xenophobic, because you're right; unless they've just emerged from a bomb shelter, the suggestion is totally disingenuous. Another deliberate attempt to portray Obama as foreign and scary to their yokel audience.
Unfortunately for them, this is sillier than Rachel Ray's paisley scarf to any sane person. I wonder what would Hill and her "expert" would make of the famed 'gay handshake'?

Who knew....
All those professional athletes I've seen for years doing the fist bump were terrorists!!!!! Somebody'd better contact the NBA and NFL as well as Home Land Security! We're inundated!!!!!

Exactly
And I like the fist bump! IMO it signifies "team"- I loved that moment!

And it's a helluva lot better than when Al tried to give Tipper a tonsilectomy... ewww!!!

Ri-fucking-cockulous
That's about the strongest term I can think of.  Asinine is also applicable.

Seriously, wtf is up with everyone freaking the hell out about this?  I guess my boyfriend and I, and all our friends, are terrorists.  I mean, for the love of All, my incredibly harmless 40-yr-old-virgin type of friend participates in our "bump" moments.  There is a picture of BUSH doing the "bump", I don't remember who with, but it was posted on another blog I read.  Guess Bush is a terrorist.

...wait.  We already knew that.

If the fist pump is a 'turist' sign...
WTF was the chest bump Bush did with the graduate this month?????

Trying to think like a right winger,
All I can come up with,

Fist Bump = Terrorist = Islmaist = BAD

Chest Bump = War Hero = Christian = GOOD

The only way I can come up with.  But than again trying to think like a right winger, I have to have just woke up, and not have taken my morning shower and had my first cup of tea.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Just wait until the word gets out
That Obama fathered two Black babies!

Keith Olbermann does a great take on this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30...

In all fairness
Murdoch didn't hire her for any other reason than how high her hemline can go and how she fills out a sweater.

And had she been a brunette, they would have popped her over to the weather desk. Watching Faux weather right now; sweet Lord that girl's cleavage goes down deep!

'A Signal that Young Peoploe Get'?
I don't know how old the Faux News commentator was, but I'm 40, and I get the Fist Bump Terrorist Gesture informal handshake considerably better than she apparently does.

Perhaps it's something the Klan doesn't do, so she's simply unaware of it.

It's really rather remarkable how you can hear the scare quotes in her tone of voice, too.

The only good thing coming out of this...
... is I LOVE watching Michelle and Barack's fist bump, over and over again.  I think they look adorable - their mutual love and respect is SO clear.  I say, the more Faux news plays that, the better.

I LOVE IT!
My little nephews taught my 68 y.o. Mom the fist bump and now they do it all the time.  What a great little gesture to relate to young voters.  Obviously the Obamas have a playful affectionate side that's very refreshing to see.

What about that thumbs up that Michelle gave Barack
right after the knuckle bump?  Oh right, I think i know, she was quickly trying to cover up her terrorist gaffe by stealing The Fonze's gesture or neutered American wholesomeness.  PUT HER IN CHAINS!

They need to get over it!
Giving dap, or a fist bump, or a pound or whatever you want to call it is so NOT a big deal.  And it's an indication of just how OLD mainstream media is that they're making a big deal out of it.

My kid was watching Hannah Montana the other day and Hannah and her friend gave each other "a pound" over something they had accomplished.  If America's little teenage darling is giving "dap" on the Disney Channel, then I think it's safe to say it's pretty mainstream.  I mean for crying out loud, little 6 year old girls in middle America are watching and emulating Hannah Montana.

So really the whole gesture isn't all that interesting, or hip, or even ethnic for that matter.

Poppy Bush is a "terrorist" then
Oh please!!!!!
THAT's a war I'd be willing to support!

[ Parent ]
Oh for god's sake
It's not a "fist bump"; it's called a "dap", and it's not even a recent phenomena.

I guess with my arthritis...
and my inability to make a full fist, let alone 'bump' someone with it I can now bypass airport security and walk around the metal detectors at courthouses - If I can't give the secret handshake, I can' be a terrorist, can I????

Question:  What does an atheist do when they fall to the floor and start "speaking in tongues"?

Answer: Get a CAT scan.
