The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Bobby 'Exorcist' Jindal: intelligent design is legitimate science

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Jun 16, 2008 at 08:45:00 AM EDT

I thought all of the silly talk about John McCain picking newly metrosexual Florida governor Charlie Crist would be the best VP entertainment of the campaign season. Apparently Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal does not want to be topped. After last week's brouhaha over Jindal's personal exorcism work, he now steps up to prove he can not only deliver the religious right vote, but the batsh*t crazy fundie vote.
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal defended intelligent design as a legitimate scientific discipline that has a place in the nation's classrooms Sunday on Face the Nation.

..."I'm a Christian," Jindal said. "I do think that God played a role in creating not only the earth but mankind. Now the way that he did it, I'd certainly want my kids to be exposed to the very best science. I don't want any facts or theories or explanations to be withheld from them because of political correctness."

Jindal said that local school districts should decide for themselves what theories to teach and that federal and state governments should stay out of the equation.

Watch it (via Raw Story):

So, I suppose that Jindal either didn't see or didn't care to see the Nova documentary ("Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial"), which chronicled the thorough legal ass-whipping that ID received in the case of the Dover, PA school board.

Ugh.
Let's dissect this, shall we?
..."I'm a Christian," Jindal said. "I do think that God played a role in creating not only the earth but mankind.

Ok, that's valid for yourself.

Now the way that he did it, I'd certainly want my kids to be exposed to the very best science.

Then why does he want to take time out of the science curriculum to teach wishful thinking?

I don't want any facts or theories or explanations to be withheld from them because of political correctness."

But not to withhold it from them due to the lack of evidence, experimentation, or any type of research whatsoever?  For what they have done, the Disco Institute could fit all of their equipment right next to The Peter's group in his basement.  Yet another industry based on militant Christians bullying everyone around them into submission.  I do think that if they were trying to force everyone into being nice to each other or into feeding sick children it would be one thing but no, it's always forcing ignorance and hate.  Not surprising considering what it takes to be a militant Christian but still.

By the way, a toast to anyone getting married in California today.  I'm going to be scarce around here today because my mother is going in for major surgery and I'm heading out to the hospital in a few minutes to be there for her but I will also be thinking about you guys.  This is a very historic day, no matter what happens in November.  Hugs all around!

My America includes LGBT families.

ID is valid because it presents a Xtian point of view
And no other.  Not the way the Hindus believe life developed, not the way the Native Americans believe either, nor the many tribes in Africa or any alternative belief set.

As long as their viewpoint is featured in ID, no other viewpoint need exist in the eye of the fundies...

Fear the Jindal!
My anti-blogger Adam loves this guy.  100% pro-coerced-breeding (doesn't even support abortion in case on woman's life and health, rape, or incest... because God so needed to birth a new soul that she had to be raped for it, I guess.  Seems like a limited God to me that must rely on rape to get his spirit children born, but oh well...)

"If people let government decide which foods they eat and medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." -- Thomas Jefferson

ID is not a fact, not a theory in the scientific meaning of that word...
and no more of an explanation than saying magic, invisible, pink unicorns willed earth into existence. ID has nothing, at all, to do with science and everything to do with the fact that Creationism is so ridiculous that even the Christians have abandoned it and must find a less laughable substitute.

What ID is, is wishful or magical thinking, and I'm being most kind to even call it thinking at all.

And the legal ass-whippin'
they got was due in large part to the scientific ass-whippin' that "intelligent" design has gotten.

Got to love the way the interviewer says "OK" after Jindal's remarks...
Listen to that "OK" again.  It's the same tone one uses after a mental patient tell you that he knows you're really a robot sent from the future...

I hope McSame picks him.
The entertainment value alone would be worth it, not to mention the damage he would do to McSame's already faltering campaign. Plus, it might just embarrass the voters of Louisiana enough to make them elect less of a right-wing whackjob next time.

CONtribute?
Does he want the THEORY of gravity taught? Or will he and idiot children just float away?

Intelligent design is nothing but.
If Governor Jindal thinks that ID (rearranged form of creationism) is legitimate science, then let's try some experiments:

-turning water into wine
-making a woman out of a rib of a man
-walking on water
-trying to get water by talking to a rock (I think Moses was on the right track when he refused to do so)
-healing the blind and sick (without any modern technology)

This "intelligent design" bullcrap is irrelevant to actual science.  Good luck trying to explain the existence of dinosaurs without any fabrication.

"I do think that God played a role in creating not only the earth but mankind."

I think that God played a role in creating lies.

"Now the way that he did it, I'd certainly want my kids to be exposed to the very best science."

I thought Governor Jindal was against "the very best science".

"I don't want any facts or theories or explanations to be withheld from them because of political correctness"

Don't you just hate is when people (especially high-ranking politicians) play the "politically correct card"?  The reason why certain facts/theories are being withheld is because scientists realized that these are nothing buy stinky cow pies.

He doesn't want ANY explanations witheld...
There have been several million explanations for the origins of life on earth advanced by various cultures and peoples from the beginning of humanity.  Recorded history alone, conservatively, has over 300 thousand such references.

Given an 8-hour school day, if only one minute were spent on each explanation, it would take over 652 school days to just touch on each explanation -- almost 4 years of non-stop teaching to the exclusion of all other subjects.

I have my own religion too...
that I want taught in schools. It's very different than any others I've read about. .

I'd rather be a lion for one day, than a sheep for my entire life.
