Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Andrea Mitchell can't resist the Rock Hard Gay Agenda

by: RadicalRuss

Sun Jun 22, 2008 at 14:01:49 PM EDT

Just watching Meet the Press on my DVR when Andrea Mitchell is asked about the possibility of Sam Nunn of Georgia being Barack Obama's vice presidential choice.  After discussing the pluses of a Nunn veep pick, Andrea just can't help but make me laugh out loud:
June 22: Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), political roundtable - Meet the Press, online at MSNBC- msnbc.com
Minuses, he is an anathema to the gay and lesbian community because of "don't ask, don't tell." He's tried to moderate his position, but it was he and Colin Powell who shoved that down a young Bill Clinton's throat in 1993 as a new president.

This is example #5,298 of someone on my TV who can't help but put "gay" and "shove down throat" in the same paragraph.  We now return you to you regularly scheduled programming, already in progress...

remember what was before DADT
It used to be that people were asked and investigated and were not allowed to join up.  They had to say they were not homosexuals.  DADT was just like DOMA in that it was a way to get a foot in the door, part of a long term gay rights strategy.

No one has forgotten
and no one is dumb enough to believe the trollis claim that it is part of a long term strategy.

Clinton promised to do away with discrimination, Nunn violently opposed it, and DADT is a "compromise" that allowed Clinton to claim that he did something, and yet today people are still investigated and discharged.

Yeah, but my take on her comment
was that Mitchell was "reversing" the shove direction and in that way  poking fun at the absurd continual use of the phase by the antis against GLBT citizens i.e. it was the conservative bush administration doing the shoving down the throat and not GLBTs.

I actually LKED that the first minus (actually the only minus) Mitchell listed was Nunn's anti gay policy history.  To me Mitchell put that reason that Nunn would NOT be acceptable as VP at the top of the list, and in fact as a list of one reason, that Nunn's anti gay history is enough to not make him acceptable as a candidate.

He's not acceptable to me.

This is silly
I doubt Andrea Mitchell meant this in the way you are taking this.  I'm just happy she is mentioning Nunn's history with DADT as a minus on the national show.

Kudos to Andrea Mitchell.

#5,298?
#5,298? I find that a bit difficult to swallow.

Sorry, but the whole idea of Nunn as VP is a joke.

There is no situation so complex it can't get even worse

I'm being facetious
I too was heartened that Mitchell's minus on Nunn was his anti-gay record.  I know she didn't mean it like I'm taking it.  I agree that it may have been a clever reversal of a stock rightie phrase.  I acknowledge that I may not have actually catalogued 5,298 instances where someone claims that somebody is trying to shove the rock hard gay agenda down someone else's throat.

Besides, nobody shoved anything down a young Bill Clinton's throat... I believe by the late 90's, Bill Clinton was doing the shoving...
