Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Surreal Netroots Nation moments starring Bob Barr (and Gavin Newsom)

by: Pam Spaulding

Sat Jul 19, 2008 at 16:27:24 PM EDT

UPDATE (4:45): Look who I ran into in the hall -- San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Don't blink, but the CBS affiliate here got a shot of me this AM during the Al Gore speech. It's near the beginning. The story is entitled "Left Bloggers Claim Web Dominance Over Radio-Oriented Conservatives." Gee, doesn't that sound dangerous?

OK, now the real kicker. I come out of a session and guess who is standing in the hall being interviewed -- Libertarian candidate Bob Barr. It's bizarre enough that he'd show up at a lefty conference, but the mind-boggler is that he's also in Austin to speak at the sad-sack right-wing blogger "counter-event," the Right Online Summit (sponsored by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation, just look at the agenda and the speaker list), along with the diva of wingnuttery, Michelle Malkin. Here's Bob, and my reaction:

Pam, You're a hoot.
That photo made us laugh.

Great expression
Pam, your face says it all.
OMG, what a great photo!

You may not be gay, but you may be next.

thanks for the chuckle, Pam

who?
I never heard of any of those people listed on the rightonline agenda, except for Bob Barr.  My favorite right wing blogger bim, Debbie Schussel, was not listed.

a bunch of no names
you should check out the blogs attending - never heard of most of them, but a real highlight is the Black TX GOP. Its web site is laughable.

Our Mistress and Barr
The camera focussed on the more important (and more attractive) personality at the time.

I only hope Barr attracts enough votes in Georgia to cost McSame that state.

They misspelled "Liberty"
when identifying Hiram Sasser. Probably not a surprise since the right knows so little about it.

Interestingly, one of these characters from Liberty Law claims International Law expertise. I dream of going head to head with him and reducing the expected right wing arguments to rubble....because I did not learn IL in Oklahoma or Texas where these creatures come from, I learned it at The Hague and in Bosnia......

On a lighter note:
Pam--the pic was priceless.
It needs a caption like "Even Bob Barr follows Pam Spaulding"

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Great Pic Pam
Have to wonder about those Libertarians.  Barr is so contrary to their own platform......small government, LGBT rights, etc.  What are they thinking?

LGBT rights?
The Libertarian Party is only pro-LGBT through a rather tortured definition of the term.  Most of us wouldn't consider opposing anti-discrimination law, for instance, to be especially pro-LGBT.

[ Parent ]
Actually it makes sense for him to appear
there have been people on dKos soliciting contributions for him, since wherever he appears on the ballot he siphons off quite a bit of McCain's support.

He might even throw Georgia to Obama.

As for the so called "Libertarians" - he's pretty much the death-kneel of their pretension that they supporters of individual rights.

Barr = all balls no brain
Barr while impeaching Clinton for a blow job, he was having his own affair, and Flynt ratted him out.

Alright, I confess
I've been back a few times just to see it again.

And yes, now I've saved it to my picture file.
It makes me laugh! OMG, what a great pic!!

You may not be gay, but you may be next.

insane photo
It's such an insane photo that I added it to the sidebar pointing to the Netroots Nation photo gallery.

Bob Barr and Netroots
Was Barr invited by Netroots? If so, it also says something about what passes for leftwing bloggers and the leftwing in general around here.

Barr not invited
He just showed up on Saturday, paid the registration, and made the rounds. He was already in town for the other right-wing gig.

Barr is like a maggot on a turd
Barr is like a maggot on a turd, yes he's disgusting and unsightly, and unpleasant...but in a while, the turd is diminished.
turd = McSame

yeah
but he's a high quality version of a turd ferguson.

[ Parent ]
I don't care
what anyone says about him, but Newsom now in retrospect and the whole San Francisco marriage action was huge.  The thing is, Newsom used city resources and official, heck, the City Attorney, to plan and enact this civil disobedience  action.
See the documentary, In Pursuit of Equality if you can.  The filmmakers, friends of Newsom, were asked if they were interested in recording what was going on.  They had complete access to Newsome and his staff in their planning.

Talk about a straight ally stepping forward.  Newsom did that.

Oh yeah, wild picture, Pam.  he he

How does the right wing bloggers expect to gain strength?
Their presumptive nominee, John McSame can't figure out the internet, what makes them think the rest of the idiots on the right can?

Most of the older Republican party are stuck on AM radio.  Mention Satelite Radio and they are like HUH?

I am not saying all older people can't figure it out, but most who can end up to be Democrats.

Searching the right wing web-sites can get real boreing quickly.  They all say the same repeated garbage over and over again.  They truely lack diversity.  And if for any reason there is an opposing oppinion posted, it is removed and this shows up,

This comment was removed due to volgarity or obsenities.

 They are a joke.

Oh and Pam, Love the pic.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Now we have Bobbarr in common!
Pam, I got to meet and question Bobbarr at workshop in Washington DC last year.  This was when he was announcing his lobbying on behalf of the Marijuana Policy Project.  Yes, the author of the Barr Amendment that forbade Washington DC from enacting its voter-approved medical marijuana initiative is now lobbying for medical marijuana.

Bobbarr was also instrumental in many other drug war policies that locked up too many non-violent drug offenders.  So what changed this ardent drug warrior's perspective to supporting sensible regulation and reform of marijuana, other than leaving Congress and needing a paycheck?

9/11.  Seriously, when someone asked him, he said that since 9/11 he feared that the government had grown too intrusive.  Apparently raiding medical users in California isn't intrusive until foreign terrorists blow up our buildings.

I asked Bobbarr about his lifetime membership in the NRA, and given that mandatory minimums increase in a drug crime whenever there are guns in possession, even if they are legal and registered, whether he thought that the NRA should be supporting an end to those provisions as an unconstitutional affront to the right to bear arms?  He had never thought of that angle and he stammered something about needing to look into that issue.
