"If you're gay, lesbian, or bisexual, would you sacrifice for your trans neighbors and siblings? If you're trans, would you sacrifice for your gay, lesbian, or bisexual neighbors and siblings? It's something worth knowing about yourself and those around you."
--Autumn Sandeen, 4/19/2010, the night before GetEQUAL's DADT repeal protest at the White House

Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Young Republicans in Charlotte -- and the 2008 RNC national convention agenda

by: Pam Spaulding

Sun Feb 04, 2007 at 22:00:00 PM EST

I was surfing over at our state's go-to blog for politics here in the Tar Heel state, BlueNC, and this diary by The Southern Dem caught my eye -- Weapons of Mass Destruction in Charlotte.

Apparently the city played host to the annual meeting of the N.C. Federation of Young Republicans who had a chance to hear from some of the prospective candidates for governor of my state. (Charlotte Observer):

Former N.C. Supreme Court Justice Bob Orr of Raleigh, who announced last week, appeared along with Salisbury lawyer Bill Graham and state Sen. Fred Smith of Johnston County. Patrick Ballantine, a 2004 nominee from Wilmington, was also scheduled to speak, but had to withdraw because of a conflict.

Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory, who declined to discuss whether he will consider running for governor, welcomed the delegates. State Sen. Robert Pittenger also addressed the convention. Despite speculation to the contrary, Pittenger has said he's not running for governor.

The Observer also notes that its a rarity for NC to have a Republican governor -- only two have one the office in the last century. Sorry to say that isn't true of the wingnuts we send to the U.S. Senate.

Senator Fred Smith, Patrick McCrory

Homophobe alert: Keep Fred Smith and Patrick McCrory are the radar. Smith, a millionaire elected to state Senate in 2002, was one of the sponsors of a marriage amendment bill. McCrory refused to offer a letter of welcome to HRC Carolinas when it held its annual dinner in Charlotte in 2005 (see the feeble response here. Btw, HRC is going to hold the event there again on Feb. 24).

McCrory also didn't want to grant permission for Pride events in public areas in his city, buckling under pressure from the fundie group Operation Save America. He said the event belonged in a hotel away from view.

Now for the fun -- UNCW2000 has eyes and ears over at the RNC and snared a copy of the agenda for the 2008 National Convention to share with BlueNC readers.  Read -- and cover your keyboards -- after the jump.

should've added - "(paid for by Rev. Sun Myung Moon)"

Pam, I think you made a mistake!
There can't be any young Republicans in Charlotte.  They must all be in Iraq, fighting their beloved war and killing for the Christ.

Holly, I think you made a mistake!
Holly,
You're wrong.  There are plenty of Republicans in Charlotte.  But there are also liberals in Iraq fighting so that you can post your stupid comments on this Marxist spew site.

NO WAY
If soldiers stop fighting in Iraq, PHB shuts down??? Well, we'd better keep that war going! I'll bet we can at least draw it out another decade or so until we find another distraction. I mean freedom-hater.

What the hell was I doing in Oaxaca in 1992, on the eve of the Zapatista revolution?
