Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

( - promoted by Julien Sharp)

Here are the lines I thought were snap-worthy tonight.  Well ok, some of them - it was a great night.  Add your faves in the comments. (Anyone get what Deval Partick said about Katrina - bummed I didn't capture it!)

  • "Those who live in 7 houses shouldn't throw stones." - Sen. Amy Klobuchar
  • "Country-club Economics" - Stenny Hoyer referring to the GOP economic scheme of the past 7+ years.
  • Lurleen :: Best Convention One-Liners (Tues)
  • "McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time - that's not a maverick, that's a sidekick!!" - Bob Casey
  • "In four months, we will actually have an administration that believes in science." - Mark Warner
  • "If [McCain]'s the answer, then the question must be ridiculous." - NY Gov. Paterson
  • "An energy policy that basically says 'let's go borrow money from China to buy oil from countries that don't like us.' " - Future VA Senator Mark Warner
  • "Bush came into office on third base, and stole second." - OH Gov. Ted Strickland
  • "'Government' is simply the name we give to the things we choose to do together" - Barney Frank quoted by Deval Patrick.
  • "Democrats don't deserve to win just because Republicans deserve to lose." - Deval Patrick
  • "If you drilled in all of John McCain's back yards, even the ones he doesn't know he has..." - MT Gov Brian Schweitzer
  • "...the most important barrel of oil is the one you don't use." - MT Gov Brian Schweitzer
  • "The petro dictators will never own American wind and sunshine." - MT Gov Brian Schweitzer

  • "John McCain will probably say 'No we can't'" - MT Gov Brian Schweitzer
  • "Eighteen million cracks in that glass ceiling." - Hillary
  • "No way, no how, no McCain" - Hillary
  • "To the sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits..." - Hillary
  • "The Supreme Court in a right-wing head lock" - Hillary
  • "I want you to ask yourself: were you in this campaign just for me?  Or were you in it for [list of Dem priorities]." - Hillary
  • "We don't need 4 more years of the last 8 years." - Hillary
  • "We're Americans - we're not big on quitting!" - Hillary
  • "It's fitting that John McCain and George Bush will be meeting in the Twin Cities next week, because it's getting pretty hard to tell them apart." - Hillary

"People who live in seven houses...
shouldn't throw stones."  Sen. Amy Klobuchar in an interview with NPR.

    Thanks Hilldog
I've always liked Hillary Clinton.  Too bad she didn't get the nomination, but she showed some class and grace in defeat.  Bravo!!  Way to get us back on track.  And if there are Clinton supporters who are STILL going to vote for McCain, then they're giving a middle finger to the woman they wanted to win, too.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

    ~Heather Small

    Memorable from 2004
At the 2004 Iowa State convention Senator Harkin
offered praise for the president keeping his promise
to be 'A uniter not a divider', "I've never seen
    Democrats so united."

That instantly brought to my mind Will Rogers statement
of not belonging to an organized political party.

Is this the Deval Patrick quote?
The same folks who call themselves "compassionate conservatives" are the folks who abandoned all those people not only after Katrina, but before that storm.

    Picked it up from http://www.thebostonchannel.co...

    # Duty, duty -- honor is, is --
    Honor, Creideiki -- alertly
    # Shared, is -- Honor #

    Hillary was great
During her entire speech, all I could think was that she would have been a great running mate for Obama. She was able to appear gracious and relaxed. She is a better politician than Bill.
