Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Video: Michelle Obama at the LGBT delegate luncheon

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed Aug 27, 2008 at 14:17:23 PM EDT

Here is the future First Lady's speech (Blend coverage of yesterday's event is here; it was hat tipped by the Obama blog). Michelle Obama spoke yesterday in a surprise visit to the lunch for LGBT delegates hosted by Rep. Barney Frank, with Rep. Tammy Baldwin, the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund and Human Rights Campaign.

Barack believes that if we come together, and work together, we can build the world as it should be.

In the world as it should be:

We work together to repeal laws like DOMA and Don't Ask Don't Tell, and we oppose divisive constitutional amendments that would strip civil rights and benefits away from LGBT Americans--because discrimination has no place in a nation founded on the promise of equality.

Anyone willing to put in an honest day's work can make a good living and support their family--and employers are held accountable for discrimination against LGBT Americans.

The federal government fully protects all of us--including LGBT Americans--against hate crimes.

In the world as it should be, we recognize that equality in relationship, family, and adoption rights isn't an abstract principle, but goes directly to whether all Americans can lead lives of dignity and freedom.

Thanks for the video
Bringing the individual forum's speeches is a GREAT use of new media, that the MSM won't cover.
Michelle will make a helluva First Lady

This Convention
Ok...this just ain't right!! I've cried more tears of joy over this convention than I ever have!! God bless the Obama family!!

I'm confused.
Does this mean that the video that the Obama campaign is distributing of Michelle talking to the LGBTs does not include the discussion of LGBT issues?  The text you have typed out there does not match the video, which is just a general uplift piece about Obama and change.

equality and justice?
I'm confused--doesn't Barack think we're morally unfit to marry?

Sorry but I'm not buying any of this.

LGBTs need to FOCUS
We have REAL enemies funding EVERY anti-gay initiative against MARRIAGE, ADOPTION, and ENDA

none of those are Obama/Biden

Does Obama really support LGBT equality?
As someone who pleaded by E-mail and on the phone with the Obama campaign to remove Ex-gay Gospel singer Donnie McClurkin from their rally in Columbia, I am now having a difficult time trying to feel any kind of enthusiam for Obama.

He threw gays under the bus in S.C.

I might vote for him, simply because he is the lesser of two evils or I might stay home and not vote at all.  I'm not impressed by anything he has said or done in support of gay equality so far.

I am tired of Democrat leaders who can't or won't support minorities.  Barack of all people should know something about prejudice and discrimination and he, of all people, should be our strongest voice against it.

But he used prejudice against gays to get votes in S.C.  How is that any different than race baiting in the south?

Allowing an ex-gay to bash LGBT people for more than 30 minutes completely unopposed cost Obama my vote in the primary.  Until that time, I LOVED Barack Obama.  Not anymore.  How many dead gay kids do we have to have before people in positions of authority will stop hate speech under the guise of religion, especially when it is done in their name?  Shame on Barak Obama for what he did in S.C.

Gloria
I completely understand being REALLY p*ssed off after McClurkin, I was too. Until Huckabee won some states.
When there was the possibility of someone who wanted to send People with AIDS to CAMPS, I got over not only my anger with Obama on McClurkin, I got over Hillary's Kyl-Lieberman vote as well, (which equally p*ssed me off.)
One thing which helped me, was being impressed with Michelle Obama on her own. I respect her judgement, so if she thinks Barack is a quality man, I'll trust her.
I was impressed when Obama spoke to African American churches about dealing with homophobia, not a subject popular to his audience, and he did it anyways.
Your vote is your choice, I just thought I'd explain how I suspended my anger.

A woman will help lead the way to full GLBT equality
I truly feel that if Barrack Obama is not quiet there as understanding full rights for gays and full marriage equality, his wife, a wonderful woman will be very influential in making sure he does.  fast.  Go Michelle!

I think Obama is there, but he knows what to he needs to say to get elected

I agree
Watched a clip on Towleroad yesterday interviewing Gavin Newsom regarding the death of Del Martin (tried to attach  but the video is not available).

About halfway into the interview he was talking about marriage equality and Obama. It appears they have discussed this and (I'm paraphrasing) Candidate Obama personally gets it but in the political arena this is as far as Obama can go at this time. Based on what else Gavin said I got the distinct impression President Obama will be pushing for full marriage equality.

You can lead a fool to knowledge, but you can't make him think.
