The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."
He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior."
(CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)
Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego)."Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:
A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist." (Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)
"A nutty lesbian blogger." (MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)
Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

"I am absolutely delighted by this selection. Once again, John McCain has shown that he is an independent thinker who paints in bold strokes. Sarah Palin is a conservative reformer with executive experience who will bring a breath of fresh air to Washington. She will be an ideal running mate for John McCain, and will make a major contribution to our country's future."
-- failed presidential candidate and former Law & Order actor Fred Thompson (BTW, if you want the low-down on Palin scandals, read Celtic Diva's Blue Oasis, which is the credentialed Alaska blog. Linda has been following Palin for a long time.)
I've been offline for several hours as I navigated the crowded airport in Denver and back home to NC. I have to tell you, the buzz about Sarah Palin's selection by McCain as his veep was happening all over the place. And the buzz wasn't good. Most people were aghast at this choice and what it says about John McCain.
I happened to run into a congressman who was on my flight, and he was appalled by Palin's selection, particularly because of her record on the environment. One woman I spoke to as I passed through first class to the "cheap seats" was laughing hysterically at Palin's "qualifications" to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Another person came up to me (I had a PHB t-shirt on), and said that he moved out of Boston because of the sucktastic, flip-flopping Mitt Romney, but he still expected McCain to suck it up and go with the former Massachusetts governor before hooking up with someone with as thin a resume as Palin.
John McCain and Sarah Palin met only six months ago and spoke only once by phone before he offered her the job of Vice President. Again, is this the kind of depth of decision making and consideration we'd see from commander-in-chief McCain?
No sane voter wants to elect a 72-year-old man who thinks he can hand over the car keys to an unqualified GOP-bot like Palin. Oh my bad -- the LCRs think she's just peachy keen. And this talk that she has gay friends is BS; what friend wants to deny other friends their civil rights? Gay City News: Some press reports following the McCain campaign announcement have repeated that right-wing rhetorical flourish that has Palin declaring that she has gay friends. That softer image is not what some Alaskans saw.
"That's just completely wrong," said Allison E. Mendel, the attorney who brought the 1999 case. "She spoke on radio programs all throughout the campaign saying, 'I want a constitutional amendment, I think these things are only for a man and a woman.' ... I don't think she's ever said a friendly word about gay people, that they ought to have health benefits like other people do or anything along those lines."
On AIDS issues, Palin simply has no record at all. Take a look at the reaction to Palin by some on the right below the fold -- they've put McCain's age on the table as a reason to pan Palin's selection. |
| Pam Spaulding :: Palin: the talk of the town |
NRO: She's not ready to be commander-in-chief Pat Buchanan on MSNBC just now, about Sarah Palin. I'm liable to agree, but, how is she any less qualified than Barack Obama, who is the actual presidential candidate on the Democratic ticket? NRO: I'm Getting a Couple of These this Morning [Kathryn Jean Lopez] As much as I loathe Obama-Biden, I can't in good conscience vote for a McCain-Palin ticket. Palin has absolutely no experience in foreign affairs. Considering both McCain's advanced age and the state of the world today, it is essential that the veep be exceedingly qualified to assume the office of president. I simply don't have any confidence in Palin's ability to deal effectively with Iran, Russia, China, etc. I certainly will not cast a vote for Obama-Biden, but nor will I vote for McCain-Palin. Looks like I'll either sit this one out or vote for Bob Barr. Why, o, why, didn't McCain listen to Rove and just pick Romney? she doesn’t have much time to show it, which is why every last mistake on the trail will be magnified to “prove” that she’s a hick who’s out of her depth. She’ll have to be letter perfect, especially in the debate with Biden, to convince independents she’s up to it. If she isn’t, I think McCain’s support in the center will collapse as people worry, as I did with Pawlenty and now with Palin herself, that we’re handing the keys to the kingdom to a totally unknown quantity who’s one 72-year-old heartbeat away from being commander-in-chief. Palin has been governor for about two minutes. Thanks to McCain’s decision, Palin could be commander-in-chief next year. That may strike people as a reckless choice; it strikes me that way. And McCain's age raised the stakes on this issue. FL GOP: Palin gets mixed initial reaction among Florida GOPers One top GOP advisor summed it up this way: "It's crazy.'' Palin's lack of experience in the hard-knocks world of presidential politics will be hard to overcome, the advisor said. If she really is the nominee, will it come across as a desperation move, a Hail Mary, as Mondale's choice of Ferraro did in 1984? I'm afraid so. Her experience just doesn't justify a place on the ticket. |
