Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Associated Press - Palin stretched the truth in speech

by: Alvin McEwen

Well the speech is over and to the surprise of no one, Sarah Palin did a good job.

But a few things caught my eye -

1. That attack on the media will backfire. As articles have shown, we don't know that much about her. Hell, McCain didn't know that much about her when he selected her. Trying to bully the media isn't going to play out well publicly. It just gives the impression that the campaign has something to hide.

2. All of that talk about attracting Hilary Clinton voters just went out of the window. Palin did nothing concilatory to appeal to those women. Her tone was mean and sarcastic. The delegates may have loved it but remember some of those same delegates loved Pat Buchanan's 1992 speech and we all know how that played out.

3. The crack about community organizers and the comment about Obama wanting to read terrorists their rights are going to backfire on her.

4. And the most important thing (by way of Americablog), Palin was highly deceptive about many things in her speech:

Ballsy move to lie to America during one's introductory speech. But, that's what Palin did tonight. AP said Palin "stretch[ed] the truth. She lied:

PALIN: "I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending ... and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress 'thanks but no thanks' for that Bridge to Nowhere."

THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a "bridge to nowhere."

The gloves are truly off here. When the hype and afterglow of Palin's speech is over, I am interested in seeing what is going to happen.

Who knows how the speech will play out?
One thing the Obama campaign should jump on AND JUMP ON HARD is her insult of community organizers. Talk about elitist. Sarah Dubya Palin is out of touch!
Also did anyone else notice who the party of family values, values?  Did you all see when she was introducing her daughters? Let's look at that picture for a moment. There was thrice married Giuliani with his latest affair, er, I mean wife. There was Cindy McCain who was the mistress before she was the wife (you remember, John's wife went and got all ugly on him in a car accident). There was Bristol Palin with her boyfriend and father of her baby. But yet all those people were allowed to marry. BUT I AM NOT?!?!?

One last thing. Was John McCain a POW?

One other thing
"Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies."
David Plouffe

double stretch
"stretching the truth" is stretching the truth.

She lied.

BTW - Sarah?  If you're listening?  There's a commandment against that.

fundamentalists like Sarah are allowed to sin
see, they're forgiven so it's OK if they sin; it's those of us who aren't forgiven who must be prohibited from sinning even though we're fast-tracked to Hell

Typical Republican
She's cruel and contemptuous, and so is McCain.  That's how they're soul mates, and that's how they share a deep affinity with Bush/Cheney. The personal cruelty in this White House underlies policy positions (see Bush on the Couch), and you can expect more of the same from four eyars of McCain.

Republicans doing what they do best
Lying their sanctimonious, hypocritical asses off for all the world to see.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même merde.

Hmmmmmmm
Okay this is something I came across on the internet this morning:

So maybe Bristol is really following her Mom's not so good example?

Indipendant Voter Panels
I have been reading quite a few independent voter panels that newspapers, tv stations, and other sources held.  They all pretty much painted the same impression.  While a good speaker, she came off as mean, sarcastic, overly partisan, and divisive.  In fact many of these voters saw through the blatant lies and distortions in the speech as well.
This tells me alot, while the MSM may be have been impressed, independent voters saw it for what it was, and were not impressed.  She may have done more damage to McCain's chances with that speech then help.  The very fact that is that Obama changed the dialog to skewer this partisan rhetoric and address serious concerns and future policy.  Sarah may have just helped Obama with her speech, because if anything she painted a pretty clear picture of the politics of the past based on fear and divisiveness, and a lack of adult discussion on the issues.
She may have been a powerful speaker, but the fact is she wrote a speech that may have worked in a pre-Obama mindset, not one where Obama has tapped into one of the major gripes independents have with partisan politics.  The independent voters were listening to what Obama said, and took it to heart, which did not help out Sarah Palin and how they perceive her this week.  The read meat only worked for die hard republicans, not the independents who have come to hate empty partisan rancor, and especially extremism.

Thanks Sarah, you just made one of Obama's case loud and clear, and it is to bad for you that independents do not live in the republican bubble you are so firmly placed in.

She didn't write that speech
It was written by a team of Bush speech writers:

Well, at least she left Clinton out of it
I had trouble paying attention to the whole speech, but I am pretty sure she didn't talk about the 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling.

For me that was annoying and offensive.

The prospect that a hard right wing religious conservative may be the first woman President is galling.  Not to mention frightening.

But sadly not unprecedented.
My proof? Margaret Baroness Thatcher.

It was my understanding
that even though the bridge ultimately didn't get built to nowhere, the MONEY for it still got sent to the state.  Palin may have put the jet up on e-Bay, but I'd be willing to bet she didn't send back any money the Feds sent her.
