The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."
He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior."
(CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)
Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego)."Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:
A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist." (Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)
"A nutty lesbian blogger." (MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)
Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

"For some reason, the military seems more afraid of gay people than they are against terrorists, but they're very brave with the terrorists. ... If the terrorists ever got a hold of this information, they'd get a platoon of lesbians to chase us out of Baghdad."
-- Congressman Gary Ackerman (D-NY), joking to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice about the ridiculous, counter-productive Don't Ask, Don't Tell [UPDATE: Evan at AlterNet has video of Ackerman. Also see Steve's post, Condi: Ready for Her Lesbian Platoon?]
Since the Pentagon has no use for openly gay highly trained, qualified linguists, some specializing in much-need Arabic skills, Congressman Ackerman used a hearing on the 2008 State Department budget to bring up the subject. The tongue-in-cheek description was a roundabout way for the Democrat to say he believed the State Department might be able to save a few bucks by hiring some of the military linguists fired under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy instead of hiring and training new linguists.
During a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the State Department budget, Ackerman told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice he was "intrigued" that she spent so much time in her testimony talking about "the foreign language deficit" and how much the government needs Farsi and Arabic speakers. According to Sharon Alexander, deputy director of policy for Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN), Condi would be wise to make those hires."In fact, faced with the shortage of language experts, the military would do well to consider Congressman Ackerman's point. We cannot afford to lose critical personnel because of `Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' There are many brave gay men and lesbians who report for duty every day, and their contributions are immeasurably important to our national security."
According to the Government Accountability Office, the Pentagon has dismissed more than 300 language experts under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," including more than 55 who were fluent in Arabic.
"Secretary Rice would have no trouble finding gay linguists," said Alexander. "In fact, our government could go a long way in addressing the shortage of language expertise by doing just as Congressman Ackerman suggests. SLDN would be happy to introduce Secretary Rice to our many clients who speak Arabic but have been dismissed because of the ban." |
