Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

More of the 'change' McCain/Palin represents

by: Pam Spaulding

No change, that is. The lies and scandals continue to mount, as the poorly vetted Palin and the man at the top of the ticket who's responsible for selecting her show us the values they plan to bring to DC.

Let's take a look at a few -- first with her claim that she's always been opposed to the Bridge to Nowhere. It's addressed in this ad.

As Emptywheel at FDL points out: "the McCain campaign is already up to 19 different re-tellings of the Bridge to Nowhere lie." In fact, the list of prevarications of the Republican ticket on this matter is so long, Think Progress has devoted a whole page of sources that chronicle the shifting stories.

And I can't wait for a real press conference where McCain and Palin can explain how the following represents the kind of change they want to bring to Washington, such as a commitment to reduce wasteful government spending. Oops --

* Palin Billed State for Nights Spent at Home.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a "per diem" allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.

...The governor's daughters and husband charged the state $43,490 to travel, and many of the trips were between their house in Wasilla and Juneau, the capital city 600 miles away, the documents show.

Well, Palin knows how to save the taxpayers a few bucks in some circumstances. She can always point to this if the question comes up:

* As mayor of Wasilla, Palin charged victims of sexual assault to have their rape evidence kits performed.

While the Alaska State Troopers and most municipal police agencies have covered the cost of exams, which cost between $300 to $1,200 apiece, the Wasilla police department does charge the victims of sexual assault for the tests.
Do you think she'll hold that up to tout her record of protecting the taxpayer?

Legal but Slimey?
According to the governor's office in Alaska, the billing for per diems and children's travel appears to be within the law - apparently the law allows for a lot of leeway for the governor to charge such expenses. Still, it looks a lot like someone is feeding at the public trough.

These "scandals" by themselves aren't very much, but add in the "Bridege to Nowhere" lie, and the fact she kept the $$ for it, the "I sold the jet on eBay for a profit" lie (they sould it through a broker for a loss after 3 times trying eBay but not getting any minimum bids) and the "I fired the chef" lie (she actually transferred the employee to other departments, the state didn't save a dime) and we begin to see a pattern.

Certainly makes me understand why she was picked, though - she had a little Bush-lite fiefdom going on in Juneau/Wasilla.

If the lies are this bad in September...
...just how devilish will her "October Surprise" be?

You know there's going to BE one and it will get her AND McCranky laughed out of the voting booth!

About the bridge
I was listening to MSNBC with half an ear and heard Republican Congresswoman Heather Wilson insist to Contessa Brewer that the funds for tthe "bridge to nowhere" came out of Alaska's portion of the  Federal Highway Funds that the state had allocated for the bridge and then reallocated for other needed infrastructure.  When Brewer pointed out that these funds were earmark funds Wilson insisted that the earmark had been funded with Alaska's Federal Highway funds.

I'm going to have to turn off the news (except for weather, local news, Olbermann and Maddow) until after the general elections.  It's way too annoying.

Just so I got this correct?
Alaska can't afford to provide anymore public housing for unwed pregnant teens...but they can afford to pay Palin to sleep in her own house?  Interesting.

And, after calculating in the lose on selling the plane, adding in all of the first families air travel expenses, how much did Palin actually net for Alaska on this whole selling the governor's plane?

You know, if this is a fully vetted veep candidate, wouldn't you love to see who didn't get passed the vetting?

beyond belief
As then Gov Knowles points out, victims are not billed for investigation and evidence collection for other crimes.

According to Fannon, the new law will cost the Wasilla Police Department approximately $5,000 to $14,000 a year to collect evidence for sexual assault cases.

Geez, have they asked not to have to try the case to save money too?  I'm sure any rape case could easily be solved by asking the guy if he raped a woman and then considering the case solved if he says no.  That would save a lot more than $14,000/year.

Come on, we all know if these women really were raped, they'd have made sure the attacker killed them before they let them take their virtue. . .

Does anyone's ear drums bleed listening to Palin's voice
or just MINE?

I can't imagine she went to announcer school with THAT nasally disgusting voice to try to train....UGH!

Raising hand...
Me too.  Between the annoying voice, the GoOPer crap that she is selling, and all of the lies that she tells it's just painful to listen to.

Obama response
""It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls - a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn't define what honor was. Now we know why," said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton"
