The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

ABC interview: Palin's ready to go to war with Russia

by: Pam Spaulding

Thu Sep 11, 2008 at 20:02:49 PM EDT

How's that for 3AM-ready, folks? The gunslinger from Alaska can outdo cowboy Dear Leader when it comes to reckless swagger. This is what Sarah Palin said when ABC's Softball Charlie Gibson asked a very basic question about foreign policy. Remember, people, she spent the last week being tutored by Bush/McCain policy sages and this is the end result -- she's ready to declare war on Russia if it invades Georgia again.
When Gibson said if under the NATO treaty, the United States would have to go to war if Russia again invaded Georgia, Palin responded: "Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help.

"And we've got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable," she told Gibson.

She actually talks about being able to see Russia from Alaska, therefore she knows what she's saying when it comes to foreign policy. I guess her boy Track, who's heading off to Iraq this month, better buck up if Mommy makes it into office and gives advice to McCain on the next bombing target.

And oh yes, the man upstairs came up regarding foreign policy:

Palin defended a previous statement in which she reportedly characterized the war in Iraq as a "task from God."

Gibson quoted her as saying: "Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God."

But Palin said she was referencing a famous quote by Abraham Lincoln.

"I would never presume to know God's will or to speak God's words. But what Abraham Lincoln had said, and that's a repeat in my comments, was let us not pray that God is on our side in a war or any other time, but let us pray that we are on God's side."

When asked if she believed she was "sending [her] son on a task that is from God," Palin said: "I don't know if the task is from God, Charlie. What I know is that my son has made a decision. I am so proud of his independent and strong decision he has made, what he decided to do and serving for the right reasons and serving something greater than himself and not choosing a real easy path where he could be more comfortable and certainly safer."

Does anyone feel a draft in here? Perhaps it's time to brush the dust off of this oldie, but goodie for McCain/Palin:

More excerpts from the interview are here.

I didn't blink
GIBSON: And you didn't say to yourself, "Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I -- will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this?"

PALIN: I didn't hesitate, no.

GIBSON: Didn't that take some hubris?

PALIN: I -- I answered him yes because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink.

So I didn't blink then even when asked to run as his running mate.

I just love it when someone decides "what the heck, let's play a game of 'chicken' with the state of the country".

What exactly is she reforming?
And why?

[ Parent ]
do you suppose
that she wears a maiden reform bra?

Because snap decisions are always the best ones.
We wouldn't want our world leaders to actually THINK THINGS THROUGH, now would we?  So much better to shoot from the hip, and ask questions later.  Yeah.  Because that's sound government policy. Siiiiiigh...

[ Parent ]
that draft is the wind whistling in one Palin ear and out the other
I think McCain has found someone as VP that would make his assignation unthinkable...just like dumbya did with dickie.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

~Heather Small

Whose army would she be invading with?
Of course, this totally skips the question of why the US should be the world's police force.*

(*Only applies to certain countries, of course. Not all countries with horrible atrocities have huge supplies of natural resources or other reasons that make their populations worth protecting.)

Interview
STOP. Until I see the whole thing I have no comment about the interview. I can't stand these people so I am not going to give them a chance to engage in diversionary tactics. ABC is going to do everything possible to tease people into reaction by posting hot response quotes so they can make money or try to recoup the money lost on other news they have lost.

The Republicans love to exploit this situation. They know that ABC must get that "hot" story out there to make money. To keep the story "hot" ABC will not challenge the information given to them. The Republicans know this. so we can not respond to the tease, the noise until we have something real to respond to.

Do you really need to see that much more?
Her attempt to figure out what the "Bush Doctrine" is... now I won't pretend I knew what it was, I didn't. But then, I'm a middle-aged woman who is NOT running for VP.

[ Parent ]
This woman
is rock dumb. Let her keep talking. I can't wait for Biden to take her apart on Natioional TV.
Anyone else notice that she never blinks?

Did you ever see "The Big One" by Michael Moore?
In it, he talks about the same thing with Stephen (Steven?) Forbes (remember him?).  He's got him on TV not blinking for something like 2 1/2 minutes.  He asked a doctor if that was possible.  The doctor said it was "not human."  Then he had a Forbes spokesman on tape saying something like "he's not from around here."  (enter eerie music here)  It was pretty funny.

Take the AOL poll now!
AOL's poll asking if McCain and Palin have instituted real change is running two to one in their favor.

Let's turn that sucker around, now.

what's funny is
that alaska only has 51% yes.  pretty flimsy margin for palin's home territory.  arizona was 57% yes.  similar poor showing, considering.

Lurleen on Twitter

[ Parent ]
Oh my Gods.
I couldn't do that poll, it just froze on the spinning loading signal (a poll is a video?) and I'm on dial up so when that happens, I know it means I'm out of luck.  But did you read the comments on that page?  Gods in the trees and hills... this is why I'm afraid that McSame and Palin could actually get elected in November.  Scary people.

[ Parent ]
and how smart to have the VPs kid in a war zone?
While I'm heartened to see a warmonger actually willing to send a child off to slaughter, instead of leaving the work to children of other families, I wonder how foolish it would be to have a prospective VP's kid out on the front lines.  Prince Harry got comparative powder-puff duty compared to what McPalin suggests her eldest will see.  How would his death, injury, or kidnapping impact our foreign policy?

I wish someone would define what victory in Iraq is!
This is the problem, we went to war because Iraq had WMDs.  They have none now.  We can claim VICTORY!!!       (They didn't have any in the first place.)

Saddam was a real nasty leader, he is gone now.  We can claim VICTORY!!!

Why the hell are we still there?  What is the definition of VICTORY in Iraq?

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

"Victory" in Iraq...
...will consist of two things:

1)  All Iraqi oil owned by U.S.-based companies.  *
2)  Republican majorities in both houses of Congress and a Republican president.

Until these two conditions are met, Democrats are cowardly anti-Americans who want to end this vitally important war against the Constitution terrorism.

(*Bonus points if everything else in the country is similarly U.S.-owned.  We already have their politicians, which is a start.)

comment from the interview
Mccain picked this this woman that we saw in the interview tonight .. wtf...was FLO from "alice" not available...

LOL!!  Kiss My Grits Russia!

VIDEOS of Gibson Palin from huff Po
they are PAINFUL to watch...and honest to g*d at the tail end of her Bush doctrine video you could ad "the children can't find the United States cuz of the map shortage of US Americans."
  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
The fear in her eyes when she hasn't a CLUE what the Bush Doctrine is....is FRIGHTENING.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

here's a McCain VIDEO talking about Palin the talking points are NEARLY identical in this and Palin's videos, and McCain makes repeated mistakes

her son
I guess charlie forgot to follow up on Palin's kid's decision to go in the army.  It was either that or go to the slammer.  Oops, a big detail to forget.

She also linked 9/11 to Iraq during her "nonpolitical"
send-off for he son and his military unit. WaPo has it on their front page. Even Bush had to admit that Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...

Does anyone think Joe Biden is sitting back trying to figure out which low-hanging fruit to hit first during the debates?

i'm curious about Palin's son's deployment
Is he assigned Secret Service, like other candidate family members?
Is he deploying to the same destination and same duties as his squadron, or did they put him some where safer?

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

~Heather Small

He's in a Stryker brigade
Good luck with extra security there; Strykers have taken it in the shorts pretty much from the first day they were deployed. Friggin' rolling deathtraps.

[ Parent ]
Good!
She actually talks about being able to see Russia from Alaska, therefore she knows what she's saying when it comes to foreign policy.

Maybe we can give her a pair of binoculars and tell her to keep up the good work in Alaska by staying there and keeping an eye on Russia for us.

A reporter needs to ask her...
"Mrs. Palin, do you know how many miles there are between Juneau and Moscow? Just give me an approximate number."

"Uh, uh, well Russia is just a few miles from Alaska."

"That's not what I asked."

"I'll have to have my people get back to you on that."

"In March of this year, Vladimir Putin met with President Bush and one of the things they discussed was the building of a tunnel linking Alaska and Russia through the Bering Strait at an estimated cost of $66 billion. Have you had any discussions with the Bush administration regarding this proposal?"

"Uh..."

"Former Alaska Governor Walter Hickel was the co-chair of a conference on the subject in Moscow in 2007. Did you participate in that conference?"

"Uh..."

"Have you ever been to Russia?"

It could go on and on like this.

Anyway, someone needs to start asking Palin about the Bering Strait tunnel. It is a very real project and many people will be surprised to know that many Alaskans are in favor of it.

Obama's and Biden's Policies re Georgia are identical
They both want the Ukraine and Georgia to be part of NATO.

There is no situation so complex it can't get even worse

Not as simple as you make it sound
from TPM:

There's a bit more on Georgia and Ukraine and NATO. What Obama and Biden favor is for NATO to offer these two countries accession to the "Membership Action Plan" (or MAP), a process set up in the late 1990s to help aspirant countries prepare for possible membership in the Alliance. MAP isn't a promise of membership, and the last members to join NATO were in MAP for nearly a decade. It would take at least as long for Ukraine and Georgia to become members of NATO, not least since one of the criteria for membership is that there are no territorial disputes involving the country that is requesting membership.
