Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Palin to address John Hagee-organized rally?

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri Sep 19, 2008 at 06:00:00 AM EDT

McCain/Palin may have ditched the Values Voter Summit peeps, but this more than makes up for it on the wingnut meter. Talk To Action:
On Monday, September 22nd, Sarah Palin will address a rally at the UN put together by John Hagee's organization Christians United for Israel. Hagee is the Texas mega-church leader whose endorsement McCain sought for at least a year before receiving it during the primaries.  But it didn't last long.  John McCain renounced that endorsement around the same time Hagee withdrew his support for McCain.

Controversy had dogged the relationship until Bruce Wilson's video at Talk to Action showed Hagee claiming that God sent Hitler and the holocaust as a message to Jews to head to Israel and thereby fulfill Biblical prophesy.

From a call to action from  Steven Strang, a religious right publisher:
I have just received information that vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, a believer and advocate of Israel, will speak at the rally. We will have signs for you to pick up on-site as a demonstration of support that will be seen by the leaders of the nations coming to the UN, and by the world as they watch on the news. Rarely do we have such a strategic opportunity to show the world that we believe in God's word, and are willing to place our time and our money on the line to be present and counted on the side of Israel!
So, will the VP nom eagerly represent the ticket at this event?
Pam Spaulding :: Palin to address John Hagee-organized rally?
Flashback to last July: Max Blumenthal attended a CUFI conference and made this video about the extremist End Times crowd:

Rapture Ready: The Unauthorized Christians United for Israel Tour from huffpost and Vimeo.

But CUFI has an ulterior agenda: its support for Israel derives from the belief of Hagee and his flock that Jesus will return to Jerusalem after the battle of Armageddon and cleanse the earth of evil. In the end, all the non-believers - Jews, Muslims, Hindus, mainline Christians, etc. - must convert or suffer the torture of eternal damnation. Over a dozen CUFI members eagerly revealed to me their excitement at the prospect of Armageddon occurring tomorrow. Among the rapture ready was Republican Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. None of this seemed to matter to Lieberman, who delivered a long sermon hailing Hagee as nothing less than a modern-day Moses. Lieberman went on to describe Hagee's flock as "even greater than the multitude Moses commanded."

...I was forbidden from asking Hagee about statements he made in his book, "Jerusalem Countdown," that appeared to blame Jews for their own persecution. After doing just that during a press conference, I was removed from the conference by off-duty DC cops summoned by members of Hagee's family.

I have covered the Christian right intensely for over four years. During this time, I attended dozens of Christian right conferences, regularly monitored movement publications and radio shows, and interviewed scores of its key leaders. I have never witnessed any spectacle as politically extreme, outrageous, or bizarre as the one Christians United for Israel produced last week in Washington. See for yourself.

Palin invitation rescinded
The organizers, after receiving quite a bit of email from the Jewish community in response, have rescinded the invitation. Rightly so. An example of the misguided thinking that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Well.

The Rally to Stop Iran Now is NOT a CUFI Rally
Iran's President Ahmadinejad is due to visit the U.S. for the UN General Assembly and the Iran Committee has recommended a number of programs. On Monday, September 22nd at 12:00 noon a mass demonstration is being planned on Dag Hammarskjold Plaza at the UN. We urge you to begin mobilizing immediately.

It is imperative that the showing be better than previous years given the growing threat that Iran poses to Israel, the U.S. and the world. We must send an urgent, clear message to world leaders - and in particular, President Ahmadinejad: we oppose Iran's nuclear program and its support for global terrorism, we condemn Ahmadinejad's Holocaust denial, threats to "wipe Israel off the map", and blatant abuse of human rights.

Please circulate this information as broadly as possible.

Iran's President Ahmadinejad is coming to the UN ... Will you?

Ahmadinejad is coming to the U.N. to spread

his message of "holy hatred" against

The United States, Israel, Women's Rights, Religious and Other Minorities

Stand united in the face of nuclear threats and human rights abuses.

just a flippin' and a floppin'
didn't McCain finally disavow Hagee's support back in May?  Wasn't his excuse for the difference between him and Hagee vs Obama and Wright that HE didn't attend Hagee's church or his events?  Invitation rescinded after Palin accepted still means the Palin-McCain administration actively supports Hagee's mission

Pam - your source corrected his post - you should too
This was NOT a CUFI organized rally - Holly puts the real information in the comments.  CUFI DID try to help promote the rally - but their promotional post didn't say they were sponsoring the rally.
