I knew, and posted, that McSame would flip-flop...

There is no good way to spin walking out on a debate.  It simply makes one look like a coward.  They'll be able to bottle the flop-sweat tonight!

Fox Noise is saying McCain did what he needed to do, Unite

 all the Republicans.  I thought McCain wasn't going to go to the debates until the bailout plan passed.  No plan has passed.  The Spin has begun on Fox to call McCain the saving grace.

 We'll have to watch the DOW recover and go up 400 points now they know things are OK and there is no more crisis.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

This from a very non-irate article in NYT trying to make McCain look good and having difficulty doing it.

But Mr. McCain is certainly seeing the risks of making such a direct intervention. He now finds himself in the middle of an ideological war that pits conservative Republicans, loath to spending so much taxpayer money on Wall Street, against the Bush White House, which, with the support of Democrats and a sizable number of Republicans, sees a bailout package as essential to averting a potential economic disaster.

and yesterday all they could talk about was how HE was the one stalling all the substantive talks.

Oh I know it is all BS,

  Newt on H$C last night was saying it is McCains plan that is going forward.  I don't have the time to find all the clips right now.  but it is interesting on how fast the spin begins.  And there is no mention of McCain reaching across the aisle to Democrats.

P.S.  It is no longer a Bailout, it is now a Rescue Plan.

Willamette Valley - almost anything from there

But they can be pricey. I have recently become enamored with Smoking Loon Pinot Noir - very affordable. Montinore (Oregon) is awesome, and at the end of the day the Robert Mondavi is fine too. Realize that these are the home/sippin' choices. Special occasions/restaurant choices are different. ;)

John McCain spent much of this week saying he wouldn't attend tonight's debate with Barack Obama, and it wasn't until this morning that the Republican candidate confirmed he would participate.

That indecision and stunt playing did nothing, however, to quell his campaign's confidence their candidate would trample Obama, because they've already prepared an ad declaring "McCain Wins Campaign." It accidentally ran on the Wall Street Journal's website this morning, before McCain said he would be there tonight.

As for McCain's odds tonight - well, let's just say we wouldn't bet on him.
