The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

McCain's campaign is now hemorrhaging Republican support

by: Pam Spaulding

Sun Oct 12, 2008 at 07:00:00 AM EDT

Via Crooks & Liars, yet another example of the bigots drawn to McCain/Palin. In Johnstown, PA, a man decided it was a great idea to hold up a stuffed monkey doll with an Obama sticker plastered on it.
As the crowd cheered at a Sarah Palin rally this morning in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a man in the audience grinned as he held up a stuffed monkey doll with a Barack Obama bumper sticker wrapped across its forehead.

...After Palin finished her remarks this morning, the man holding the stuffed monkey seemed to notice that a video camera was pointed at him, at which point he removed the Obama sticker from the doll's head and crumpling it up in his hand. He then handed the doll to a young boy who was watching the rally from his father's shoulders. The boy's parents later told CBS News that they weren't acquainted with the man who gave their son the stuffed monkey.

These are members of the base of the GOP, and it's clear that their emergence into the public sphere as barely-tethered-to-reality yahoos has angered the McCain campaign and Republican officials, who are looking for someone else to blame for the mess.
Republicans said he had been damaged by several rallies last week in which supporters shouted insults and threats about Mr. Obama, prompting Mr. McCain on Friday night to chide audience members. His aides suggested that they were trying to find a balance between attacking Mr. Obama and painting him as untested and risky without stirring unruly crowd reactions.

Emotions are raw in the campaign, where Mr. McCain's top advisers have voiced frustration at what they said was an unfair focus by the news media on the rowdy crowds.

"I think there have been quite a few reporters recently," said Mr. McCain's closest adviser, Mark Salter, "who have sort of implied, or made more than implications, that somehow we're responsible for the occasional nut who shows up and yells something about Barack Obama."

Huh? These crazies of The Base are seeking out media attention for god's sake. They are unafraid, having been stoked by the selection of Bible Spice and her inflammatory rhetoric. Now the GOP elite are getting queasy that the crazy grannies in the attic are on the loose, and scaring the country club Republicans over to the Obama camp.  In fact, there was a high-profile defection -- the late William F. Buckley's son Christopher, "Sorry, Dad, I'm Voting for Obama." Read a snippet of what he wrote below the fold.
Pam Spaulding :: McCain's campaign is now hemorrhaging Republican support
John McCain has changed. He said, famously, apropos the Republican debacle post-1994, "We came to Washington to change it, and Washington changed us." This campaign has changed John McCain. It has made him inauthentic. A once-first class temperament has become irascible and snarly; his positions change, and lack coherence; he makes unrealistic promises, such as balancing the federal budget "by the end of my first term." Who, really, believes that? Then there was the self-dramatizing and feckless suspension of his campaign over the financial crisis. His ninth-inning attack ads are mean-spirited and pointless. And finally, not to belabor it, there was the Palin nomination. What on earth can he have been thinking?

All this is genuinely saddening, and for the country is perhaps even tragic, for America ought, really, to be governed by men like John McCain-who have spent their entire lives in its service, even willing to give the last full measure of their devotion to it. If he goes out losing ugly, it will be beyond tragic, graffiti on a marble bust.

As for Senator Obama: He has exhibited throughout a "first-class temperament," pace Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.'s famous comment about FDR. As for his intellect, well, he's a Harvard man, though that's sure as heck no guarantee of anything, these days. Vietnam was brought to you by Harvard and (one or two) Yale men. As for our current adventure in Mesopotamia, consider this lustrous alumni roster. Bush 43: Yale. Rumsfeld: Princeton. Paul Bremer: Yale and Harvard. What do they all have in common? Andover! The best and the brightest.

There is a clear class war in the party. I wonder which faction will end up on top; it's obvious that after the election there is going to be a serious battle to reshape it. Will Daddy D stay on his throne?

McCain the Legend/McCain the Reality
For all Buckley's smarts in seeing what McCain has been this electoral season, he doesn't see the truth of the man before this.  He's not some great Roman Senator who has stumbled, as Rolling Stone has more than adequately shown.  He's manipulative, mean-spirited, intemperate, thuggish, a political animal through and through and if he groveled after the Keating Savings and Loan scandal, it was because that was his only ticket to future political success. There's already a new chapter of the McCain Legend being written by one pundit after another: he was a great man until this last year.  Bull.  Anyone who hasn't read the devastating Rolling Stone portrait of the true John McCain, should:

Why the Republican Party Will Remain White
People love to say there is nothing wrong with white voters who say they vote based on race because black folks are voting for Obama because of race.  That's true, but it isn't because of Obama's race.  I think even socially conservative black folks will vote for Obama and other Democrats even though they may have more in common with Republican positions precisely because of guys like this.  They know that despite whatever lip-service they may get from people like Bush on occasion, this guy is the base of the party and they aren't welcome.  So if that is a race-based vote, I completely understand it.

White and OLD
I can't wait until they are all dead. In 20 years, I'll be almost 70 and most of these old, white bigots will be rotting in their graves. Good riddance!

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

The UK...
is a case in point here. During the 1980s the Thatcher government annihilated the UK's manufacturing and heavy industry base, most of which was in Labour-controlled areas like northern England and the Midlands. These social and economic policies were opposed, and opposition was violently put down - the Battles of Orgeave and the Beanfield are two examples of the methods used (although the Battle of the Beanfield was fought against liberals rather than the working classes). With no job, many working-class people ended up long-term on unemployment benefit or (in many cases, simply to cook the books) disability benefit.

As a result many children grew up without any sense of political power or ambition and little work ethic - and an important traditional power-base for "old Labour", the urban working class, was massively reduced. This allowed "new Labour" - with economic policies very similar to those of Thatcher's Tories - to take control during the early/mid 90s.

GOP just losing the plot
I'm new on this, so hello to everyone from Dublin!

The election stories just get better every day, don't they? This nasty, dirty, racist story just captures the essence of the mad dog strain of Palinitis which has infected the GOP. And the blame for picking Palin lies squarely with McCain, who seems totally out of his league. When you see SNL taking the michael out of candidate Palin before the election, it surely indicates that the GOP is in serious trouble.

National Review Publisher pro-Obama

What's next?  Barry Goldwater coming back from the dead to appear on Larry King's show and tout Obama?

What a turn.

Haven't you heard of the actual Goldwater campaign?
His campaign (and the one funded by his supporters) relied on fostering racial fears. That's how the Democrats were able to get LBJ elected.

I think you missed something from inside the beast...
Republican Base
What has happened is that the White Extreme Religious and Social base of the Republican Party has realized that McCain is going to lose. W/ their religious philosophy, personified by Gov Palin's belief in the Rapture/End of World scenario, now threaten in its entirety they are enraged that "GOD" has deserted them. They are left w/ two extreme choice's both violent and repellant. One, they can do a David Koresh and committ suicide en mass. Two, they can resort to violence to induce the Rapture.

BUT HE ALSO SAID.....
I am-drum roll, please, cue trumpets-making this announcement in the cyberpages of The Daily Beast (what joy to be writing for a publication so named!) rather than in the pages of National Review, where I write the back-page column. For a reason: My colleague, the superb and very dishy Kathleen Parker, recently wrote in National Review Online a column stating what John Cleese as Basil Fawlty would call "the bleeding obvious": namely, that Sarah Palin is an embarrassment, and a dangerous one at that. She's not exactly alone. New York Times columnist David Brooks, who began his career at NR, just called Governor Palin "a cancer on the Republican Party."
As for Kathleen, she has to date received 12,000 (quite literally) foam-at-the-mouth hate-emails. One correspondent, if that's quite the right word, suggested that Kathleen's mother should have aborted her and tossed the fetus into a Dumpster. There's Socratic dialogue for you. Dear Pup once said to me sighfully after a right-winger who fancied himself a WFB protégé had said something transcendently and provocatively cretinous, "You know, I've spent my entire life time separating the Right from the kooks." Well, the dear man did his best. At any rate, I don't have the kidney at the moment for 12,000 emails saying how good it is he's no longer alive to see his Judas of a son endorse for the presidency a covert Muslim who pals around with the Weather Underground. So, you're reading it here first.

So we will see whether posting in in the BLOGOSPHERE makes a difference or not... PLEASE send to all and any you know smart enough to read and understand it!  I have already.

Who Would Jesus Hate?

Some people seriously need to spend some time on the 4 books of the Gospel.  See, it's about this guy who comes to town to shake up the establishment, and then exhorts people to take care of each other and love one another.  Heck, he even says to hate your enemy.  And if they do you wrong, then try to find out why and see if you can fix it (that's what the "turn the other cheek" thing is about).

Sadly, a lot of the "Christians" seem to really struggle with that part where they treat other people decently.

At one time, I was a moderate
To be honest, I still am but the Republican party (like Christianity itself) has been hijacked by Christian Nationalists who think religion and politics are one and the same.  The Republican party has allowed this, not because they agree with the right-wing radicals but because they are so power-hungry they do not care about the country, its citizens, the world or anything but their own power & wealth.  McCain is no different than the rest, I wrote my first post about him selling his soul in 2005.

In their quest for power, the Republican party has taken a small fringe group prone to over-reaching and given them the power to expand by indoctrination - this has allowed those radicals to own the party at risk of the health and well-being of the country itself.  Unfortunately, those who can still think for themselves and who still [really] care about this country are finally starting to see what they've allowed to happen.  They're only hope to be able to rectify the situation and get their own party back on track will be for the McCain-Palin ticket to face a resounding defeat and for them to really put country first to ensure the success of an Obama mandate.

That's okay
(patting Cranky's hand)... we understand. The Republican party, as we knew it years back, is as dead as the dodo. Or has been taken over by dodos; take your pick.

I have always, until this past winter, been a proud Independant and the spouse a lifelong Republican until after 9/11. Listening to Joe Biden in '88 started to sway me, but I just couldn't get past whiny Joey Lieberman. You know... back when he was a Democrat... ;)

The Moderates were the first to go
Clinton started peeling them away in 1992 after the hatefest in Houston. It still has amazed me that the party had been able to retain 'Secular' Republicans for as long as they did. But the promise of good times, easy money and no regulation for a vote had it consequences, dire ones at that. I still hear these brain dead asswipes screaming the new regulations and taxes will make the problem worse.

71 years after the Great Depression and the laws passed to prevent this exact scenerio happening have been repealed. Sadly, we have sold off majority of our manufacturing base, stunted our scientific investment and research, and invested nearly zero in our infrastructure all in the grab for personal enrichment. Roosevelt at least had something to work with to rebuild the country.

The Reagan Era has officially ended like it or not. It did not die from neglect like the New Deal. It broke apart like the space shuttle on reentry. There will be no tax cuts in the coming years. Nearly 60% of our National Budget will be dedicated just to service the interest on the debt. By 2018 majority of this nation will be at retirement age, just think all those citizens that paid into the Social Security System are going to expect it back. Our lenders will demand their money back. Guess who comes first? We could honestly be the first nation in the history of the world to cease to exist because of foreclosure.

All of this, after 8 years of being led by the first MBA President. Republicans called Democrats "Fools", whose the fools now?

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me. Hunter S.

I predict
Obama will go on the attack -- in a cool a diliberate manner. Then, McCain will lose it. His face will turn red. He'll shake with anger. He'll raise his voice.

When Obama points an accusatory finger at McCain and mentions that he was booed at his own rally after defending him, McCain will be history.

When you look for the bad in mankind, expecting to find it, you surely will.

Unless there is a provocation Obama HAS to confront...he won't get negative
Judging by his latest stump speech he's being upbeat, calm, smart. He can allow McCain to get beaten by the Financial Crisis, and stay above the fray.

After Nov 4th maybe some Democratic leaders and our First Lady in waiting might have some biting retorts, but they are smart enough to bite their tongues until they have ALL THE POWER.

I was thinking earlier of the three things I'll be the most grateful for Nov 5th.

1. NEVER hearing of Sarah Palin AGAIN

2. Seeing the Reich Wing fanatics like Dobson, perkins, Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity, Malkin, Drudge, Barnes, Kristol, CWA, Eagles, all simmer, seethe, and shoot at every Repig in politics, but mostly at Bush and McCain.

3. Never caring what the f*ck Joe Lieberman thinks about...ANYTHING.

When you run a bigoted campaign
You attract bigots. And yes, the media is jumping on that...why? Because bigotry is wrong. And in this day and age, it is news to see people with a flagrant disregard for humanity scream out loud and clear that they are hateful and have no respect for other peoples viewpoints. The media is making the case that the McCain base is full of savage, uncivilized fundies, and why? Because it's the truth. And since McCain/Palin can't beat Obama on the issues, they resort to ridicule and smear tactics. And this is what matters to fundies...hate first. Bigotry first, never mind anything else. Hate begets hate.

Republicans don't fare as well as Democrats in tough financial times
Because we have the VAST Majority of the creative innovators on OUR SIDE. The ARTS not only inspire a population most of it is produced from meager sources and just pure inspiration. Hell, the Blues was the celebration of survivors NO MATTER WHAT COMES AT PEOPLE.

Crunching numbers and thinking up bizarre sub mortgages no one understands...doesn't mean sh*t when everyone is broke.
Immitating something we own the patent on. doesn't help the creative-challenged folks.

Just look at Obama vs. McCain's life stories. One an inter-racial child raised by single mother and grandparents...no one would have given odds he would amount to much. Through his own intelligence and hard work he earns the highest honors at the BEST schools, and earns his wealth through his writting books, making something from nothing but his thoughts.

Versus the son and grandson of POWERFUL affluent admirals, and when he returned from Viet Nam he dumps one family, to MARRY his wealth.

Just Google "Obama" and "monkey"
You will get tens of thousands of the most vile, racist results. The images are the most telling.

There are literally thousands more like this.

What is even worse is the results you get for "kill" and "Obama":

Aren't McCain supporters great? So bright, witty and original, too. I imagine that most of the people who are responsible for this stuff look like that soft, doughy cretin at the McCain rally.

Wow Fritz
What a disgusting display of ignorant hateful bigotry. I almost(not quite) feel sorry for people who think this way. Their stupidity keeps them from the treasure of wealth that is diversity in America. These people will never grow and learn and will always live in a time warp of hate. I honestly believe in these times that they are the minority now. And their numbers will continue to shrink and one day, one day, they will be the targets of the very hate they spew now. America is the land of the free, if you can't live and let live...leave. For you own sake.

McCain Associates with Racist Mr. Potato Head

As the crowd cheered at a Sarah Palin rally this morning in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a Mr. Potato Head in the audience grinned as he held up a stuffed monkey doll with a Barack Obama bumper sticker wrapped across its forehead.

In this Pam's House Blend exclusive report, we have photographic evidence that John McCain has publicly associated with the racist Mr. Potato Head.

Obviously, McCain has such little respect for his country that he openly supports white, starchy racists.

Yeah that makes me sick
It's hard to believe there are people out there like that.  I think it's good for all the youngin's like myself who have not seen this level of hatred before to witness it first-hand.  There are too many my age that think racism is dead.  This clearly indicates that it isn't.

Although I must admit the little monkey stuffed animal is adorable.  It's still incredibly wrong and racist, but it is adorable.

Adorable = Racist
I must admit the little monkey stuffed animal is adorable.  It's still incredibly wrong and racist, but it is adorable.

In the antebellum South, blacks were claimed to be less intelligent and socially mature than whites - to be mentally child-like and therefore deserving of whites' "protection". This was one of the major justifications for slavery.

Using a cute child's toy to symbolise a black man is harking back to that same prejudiced idea of blacks being inferior to whites.
