The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Ohio: GOP runs gay-baiting ads in two state races

by: Pam Spaulding

Sun Oct 26, 2008 at 12:00:00 PM EDT

Yeah, the homostraw man is alive and well when the Republicans are down and out in the polls.
In the 85th District south of Columbus, three-term incumbent Republican John Schlichter of Washington Court House is in a tough battle against Democrat Ray Pryor.

...Schlichter's re-election chances have been hampered by Democrats bringing up his more than $434,000 in debt, including $280,000 unpaid taxes to the Internal Revenue Service. The debts result from the failure of Schlichter's farm.

As an apparent diversion, Schlichter is accusing Pryor of "re-defining the American family" and "opening the doors to special rights for special interests"--meaning that Pryor supports LGBT equality and adoption rights.

"Liberal Ray Pryor supports gay adoption," a mailer says in large print. Schlichter's radio ad says Pryor supports a "homosexual agenda."

"As our state representative, John Schlichter will continue to defend traditional marriage--preserving it as the sacred union between one man and one woman," the mailers say.

Yawn. Since Ohio already has a marriage amendment, I'm not sure what this messaging does. Eric Resnick's article mentions that there is one piece of legislation they can cling to. The same sort of gay baiting is being employed by the Ohio GOP in the 22nd district.
Republican Mike Keenan, an insurance salesman and Dublin city councilor, is touting his "faith in God" and belief in "strong values" as the reason why he should defeat Democrat John Carney, an attorney.

..."Our families are the bedrock of society," says Keenan's campaign literature. "Michael Keenan will strengthen families by keeping marriage between a man and a woman."

Keenan also claims that he will "make sure our government maintains respect for our Creator." He did not respond to requests for comment.

And the kicker? Protect your keyboards...
In January, [Ohio Republican Party spokesperson Scott] McClelland told the Gay People's Chronicle the GOP was planning to "do a better job reaching out to the LGBT community. We're not attempting to drive wedges between communities."

I hope that Pryor and Carney calls out the GOP for what they are...
...a bunch of homophobic bigots!

Scott McClelland is really delusional if the GOP would ever try to reach out to the LGBTIQ communities.

Comment from Ohio Democratic Party Executive Director
"These are the hateful tactics of a desperate candidate with no ideas and a failed party with no agenda to move Ohio forward.  There are 3,000 children waiting to be adopted and over 17,000 in foster care. Rather than attacking families and those who want to help strengthen them, responsible leaders focus on making sure children are in loving, caring, and permanent homes."

Doug Kelly, Ohio Democratic Party Executive Director

Gay bashing wont work,
If it would, McSame/Palin would have dragged out the homostraw man by now.  Palin dipped her toe in the abortion water and notice that is not being used.  These republicans are desperate as they are seeing big losses everywhere.  They are throwing everything they can to see if something works.  Anything but the issues that are important.

The Old Republican Playbook is out dated.  They may have talk radio, but they don't have the internet.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Leave his IRS thing out of it
because many Americans are in that kind of fix these days.

Now, his homophobic ploys are another thing

I've thought this for a number of years:

Screwed that last one up...
I've thought for awhile now that "Gay" is the 'New' "N*gger!"

If any of these candidates used the "N- word" in their campaigns, probably the only safe place on the planet for them would be FIJI!

OK... let the flames begin.  I'm ready.

i think you're right.
they have to have a demon to defend the fearful against.  that's the model they use.  so if it isn't nigger, it's fag.  if it isn't the soviets, it's radical islam.  they'll always find the next bogeyman.

Of course they will

they'll always find the next bogeyman.

Gotta keep those $$$ coming in from the sheeple.

You can lead a fool to knowledge, but you can't make him think.

Well, after all,
they've tried race baiting, and it came a cropper for them.  What's left for them but to go after us?

There are always the atheists
And even the gay atheists, like me.  A twofer!  I wonder if I rate my own "Willie Horton" ad :)

[ Parent ]
I'm an atheist too
I think he concept of a gay atheist would just be too "evil" for them to wrap their minds around.  The moral equivalent of an M.C. Escher drawing.

inane!
How can anyone honestly believe that GLBTQ people are out there trying to destroy straight marriages?  I don't think any of us have any grudges against happily married men and women... we just want to have a slice of that same cake!  The fact that anyone could still believe otherwise says that either:

A) they honestly haven't met any out queer folks (surprising in 2008, but I suppose it's not impossible), or

B) they're so dogmatic, so obsessed with achieving their agenda (for whatever inscrutable reason), that they've ceased to give a rat's ass about making sense.

My money's on the latter.

if you pull the string two times real fast it said Momma Momma...sounds like Lesbo Sapien indoctrination stuff
ROFLMQAO!

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

Wedge of Convenience
In January, [Ohio Republican Party spokesperson Scott] McClelland told the Gay People's Chronicle the GOP was planning to "do a better job reaching out to the LGBT community. We're not attempting to drive wedges between communities."

Oh, I see Scott.  Republicans only pull out the gay bogeyman when they're losing, not if they're winning.

Frankly, you can take your hypocrisy and shove it up your ass!

Hmmmm...
"As our state representative, John Schlichter will continue to defend traditional marriage
Any relation to Art?  If so, any thoughts on traditional gambling?

>^..^<

To MauraHennessey and KatRose ...
... well, specifically first to KatRose. The article Pam posted says that John Schlichter (the current political candidate) represents Washington Court House, and Wikipedia's entry for Art Schlichter (the former Ohio State quarterback and gambler extraordinaire) says Art was born in Washington Court House. Also, you can compare pictures of the two, John's at http://www.house.state.oh.us/i... and Art's at http://images.google.com/imgre... . I would guess they're brothers, but you do the math.

And for MauraHennessey, I think John's IRS troubles are very relevant in light of Art's myriad legal and financial problems over the last 30 years. It sounds like, if my assumptions are correct, the whole family is criminally corrupt.

As a Former Buckeye . . . .

Actually, does that make me a "Fuckeye?"

I digress.

The slogan for some time has been, "Ohio!  The heart of it all!"

It really needs to be, "Ohio, The fart of it all!"

God, I am so glad I left that place in 2004!
