The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

More post-mortem McCain campaign meltdowns

by: Pam Spaulding

Thu Nov 06, 2008 at 06:00:00 AM EST

McCain campaign tidbits from Faux News: Palin was unaware Africa is a continent. This didn't come out during the campaign because it was "off-the-record" until after Nov. 4. I'm sorry, but the clear ignorance of someone thisclose to the presidency -- how can something of this magnitude be allowed to dribble out after the fact? (C&L VideoCafe):
Carl Cameron does one of those Now-it-can-be-told stories Fox likes to do. In this episode we learn that:

  1. Palin did NOT know Africa was a continent.
  2. She did NOT know who the parties to NAFTA were. [Hint: U.S., Canada, Mexico]
  3. She threw dramatic temper tantrums over bad press.
  4. She refused to prepare for the Gibson or Couric interviews.

Smith: Now that the election is over, Carl, tell us more about those reports of infighting between Palin and McCain staffers.

Cameron: I wish I could have told you more at the time but all of it was put off the record until after the election. There was great concern in the McCain campaign that Sarah Palin lack the degree of knowledgeability necessary to be a running mate, a vice president, and a heartbeat away from the presidency. We're told by folks that she didn't know what countries that were in NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, that being the Canada, the US, and Mexico. We're told she didn't understand that Africa was a continent rather than a country just in itself ... a whole host of questions that caused serious problems about her knowledgeability. She got very angry at staff, thought that she was mishandled.....was particularly angry about the way the Katie Couric interview went. She didn't accept preparation for that interview when the aides say that that was part of the problem. And that there were times that she was hard to control emotionally there's talk of temper tantrums at bad news clippings......

Meanwhile, on the other side of the McCain campaign, the knives are coming out.
Randy Scheunemann, a senior foreign policy adviser to John McCain, was fired from the Arizona senator's campaign last week for what one aide called "trashing" the campaign staff, three senior McCain advisers tell CNN.

One of the aides tells CNN that campaign manager Rick Davis fired Scheunemann after determining that he had been in direct contact with journalists spreading "disinformation" about campaign aides, including Nicolle Wallace and other officials.

"He was positioning himself with Palin at the expense of John McCain's campaign message," said one of the aides.

What a soap opera that campaign was.

She was even dumber than we thought??
OMG...

PUH-leeze tell me there's gonna be a tell-all book for someone out of the Palin trainwreck and not written by her... although it would be fun to "red ink" her grammatical errors!

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

A coworker told me months ago..
.. that a teacher he went to college with was using Palin's interviews in her 6th grade English class.

As diagramming lessons.

Historical
It'll probably go down as one of the worst run campaigns in the history of presidential elections.  It's ironic that we'd see both the best run campaign (Obama's) and the worst campaign (McCain's) in the same election cycle.

Frankly, if I had been one of McCain's campaign staffers, I wouldn't put that fact on my resume.

Even after she returned to Alaska
she continued to blame the media for her own shortcomings...

Sorry- trouble embedding. But video link here works.

Caveats
Okay, they're hitting each other now the way they hit Obama with one charge after another, so let's remember they're out for each other's blood.  I can believe she didn't know the parties to NAFTA.  I can believe the tantrums and being unprepared and spending way more than $150,000.

http://www.newsday.com/news/na...

I don't believe she didn't know Africa was a continent.  That's basic elementary school geography. I'm not defending her, I just don't trust everything coming out in this rush to bash each side. Before we believe every damned thing, let's remember this is the crew who told us Obama was a socialist.

BTW, some of you might have forgotten, but Bob Dole's campaign was worse than this one.  Its highlight was Dole falling off a stage and Dole never had McCain's energy, such as it is.

Don't underestimate American stupidity.
A few weeks ago on FAMILY FEUD (one of my guiltier guilty pleasures) there was a ludicrously simple question:  Other than America, name a country that starts with "A".  Out of ten contestants--TEN!!!--they couldn't come up with one correct answer.  Not one.  One of them guessed Asia (and seemed shocked when it was wrong).  Another guessed Amsterdam.  Wrong again.  And that was it.  That was all these ten masterminds could think of.

I don't for a moment find it hard to believe that Palin is as hideously uneducated as the kind of yobbos she was appealing to.  After all, this is a woman who couldn't name even one newspaper.

I am not interested in picking up crumbs of compassion thrown from the table of someone who considers himself my master. I want the full menu of rights.  -Archbishop Desmond Tutu

[ Parent ]
not to nitpick but, the question itself was incorrect
the name of this country does not begin with the letter A.  Our country is named the United States of America - America is just it's shorter nick-name

[ Parent ]
I claim no responsibility
for FAMILY FEUD.  As I said, it's a guilty pleasure for me, like Japanese monster movies.  But part of its fascination is that I think it's a near-perfect window on American stupidity.  You know, like Sarah Palin.  (Try to imagine how hard it would have been for this collection of dopes to name a country that starts with U.)

She was lying
I believe she didn't want to tell people she reads The Weekly Standard or the Washington Times.  That's why she hesitated.  She didn't want to tip her hand.

I think we need to consider the source of these rumors.  And clearly McCain's team is out to savage her to save themselves.  Or so they think.

"In order to maintain an untenable position, you have to be actively ignorant."  The Colbert Report

[ Parent ]
Nope...
She really is that stoopid.

Her lifetime lack of intellectual curiosity - reinforced by belief in Christian dogma - makes the Africa thing perfectly plausable.

And besides, everyone knows that Africa is an ocean, also.

Question:  What does an atheist do when they fall to the floor and start "speaking in tongues"?

Answer: Get a CAT scan.

[ Parent ]
Don't get me wrong
I enjoy seeing Palin dished by McCainiacs, but I also don't trust them.  They have been vile against Obama, and thatw as all bullshit, so why should we believe every single rumor coming out about her from their camp?  Suddenly they're trustworthy?  I don't think so.

So much wrong on so many levels
WHO told Fox News to keep this quiet? Do they not recognize their obligation to inform viewers of relevant Info? They should have their FCC license yanked for this crap.
As for the guy alledgedly trying to "position himself with Palin"--DUDE. If you think that's a good idea you are in SERIOUS need of help.

It's an agreement....
What campaigns have done lately is allow one or two reporters to have extra access to the campaign, and in return the reporter(s) agree to wait until after it's all over to talk about what they saw.

So the NeoCon Propaganda Network wasn't told to keep it quiet and the FCC certainly doesn't need to be involved because this isn't under their purview--their reporter simply agreed to wait until after everything was all said and done to go public with his piece.

[ Parent ]
In a way, FOX is under the FCC rules...
...by way of filing reports on Fox New Radio (distributed by Premiere Radio, a division of Clear Channel Communications) and their over the air FOX TV affiliates, including TV stations that FOX owns.

[ Parent ]
But I see your point...
...as I'm not aware of any FCC mandate.

[ Parent ]
when your opponent is self-destructing,
let him.

what madness there is/was in that campaign. I have a friend who has suggested that McCain threw the election out of spite that Rove & Co. had taken over control and were dragging the thing down and to the right. It might be giving him too much credit, but it is entertaining to contemplate.

A prediction
Palin will indeed run in the GOP primary in 2012, which will give the country (or at least Iowa) a chance at a really good look at her. And then she will be soundly trounced at the polls, left wondering what hit her.

and--
she may even be pounced on the trolls....

Ewww
They eat their own wounded

BillO got the same report...
But of course, he found ways to excuse it all and thought a little light tutoring would get her up to speed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

For the Africa thing, given the context in which it's explained, it's believable. She thought "South Africa" was the southern part of the country (aka, the continent), not a country to itself on the continent of Africa.

I guess she wasn't marching in college against apartheid like many in her peer group.

OMG
I guess she wasn't marching in college against apartheid like many in her peer group.

she's not that much older than I am and the anti-apartheid cause was something everyone but the folks who supported the KKK/Aryan Nation got behind regardless of where you fell on the political spectrum.  Seriously, wouldn't she at least know that South Africa was a country possibly expecting a question about it during one of her pageants in the 80s?

[ Parent ]
Billo says...
"So, her frame of reference isn't very strong on geography, government and current affairs...well, people can be tutored...she's a smart woman..."

Remedial geography and government classes for a vice president.  Priceless drivel.
