Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

1997 Mormon memo on banning same-sex marriage receives wide exposure

by: Pam Spaulding

Thu Nov 13, 2008 at 08:00:00 AM EST

Last week it was revealed that the LDS church has been thinking about efforts to ban same-sex marriage in California for more than a decade, and was well aware of the church's PR problem if it were to lead the charge on a referendum.

What the late LDS leader Gordon Hinckley knew at the time was that he needed to hook up a church with a better rep (ha!) to front for it - the Catholic church. Here is a report on the strategy memo:

In the above report, the church doesn't question the memo's validity, in fact, the sources said there are other related documents that could surface. One snippet of the LDS memo underscores the level of hate the church has for gays (HLM refers to "homosexual legal marriage"):

Please note especially the last paragraph.  "There may have to be certain legal rights recognized for unmarried people..."  Take a look at what that implies.  The Mormon Church, if it had its way, wouldn't even want to see gay couples have hospital visitation rights.  It's not just about marriage--for them, it's about making gays into second-class citizens.  Even hospital rights are a "concession" that have to be made to prevent full marriage equality.

Sad :\
And they keep saying WE have an agenda (apart from living our lives in peace, not bothering anybody that is)

Rubber and Glue
They've told a lot of lies about the us, and in the style of "the Lady doth protest too much"

The Gays have an agenda: Their agenda has been revealed.
The Gays want to force their beliefs on others: Prop 8, Ammendment 2, and the Initiative in Arkansas to name a few?
The Gays are recruiting children as young as kindergarten: How many children are endoctrinated (sp?) into these faiths as kids by their parents dragging them to church, sunday school, and sending them to faith based private schools.
The Gays want to destroy marriage: They supported legisaltion that did just that.

The list goes on an on.

If we needed evidence that churches that get involved politically need to be taxed...
...this would be it.

As far as the pro Prop: 8'ers crying "unfair", they can all stand in line under Councilman Steven Lipski from New Jersey and get pissed upon for all I care!!!

How the hell is this not lobbying?
Seriously, what does a church have to do in this country to lose their tax status?

It's ridiculous that they're trying to paint us as villains.

To whom do we send this
to start an investigation into their tax-exempt status?

If I knew how to make the case and to whom to send it
I'd have done that by now. There must be a lawyer somewhere who can look through all the assembled evidence that's been blogged about here and make a compelling case.

Maybe Senator Grassley
R of Iowa.
Recently requested financial information of TV preachers.
Maybe I and the other Iowans here should contact him.

Is Obama a Mormon?
Pardon me, but isn't "hospital visitation" one of Obama's favorite little crumbs to throw in our faces?

Isn't that his way of letting us think we are "coming away with something" if we back off demanding what has been shown to be rightfully ours?

How many of you are willing to accept this scheme from Obama but will get enraged when it comes from the mouth of a religious zealot?

Is there a difference - even when a politician that is a Democrat, an African American and democrat constitutional scholar - uses the same tactic that the Mormon church advocates to marginalize us into complacency?

Remember this on Saturday.  Our demonstrations on Saturday have as much to do with resisting Mormon interference in our citizenship as they do with shaking some sense into our complicit new President.

That's right Patrick
I'm wondering what agency will issue me and my partner our "hospital visitation" ID card.  snark snark

A pity, isn't it, that the Mormons
didn't learn a lesson from their pals the Catholics about how to keep embarrassing facts a secret?  The Catholics sat on their "secret archives" of the Inquisition for centuries (and still haven't released them in their entirety).  But the poor Mormons couldn't keep a damaging memo secret for eleven years.  If they didn't have so much money and so much political power, they and their mystical underwear would be standing jokes.

Hinckley was right about one thing, though: gay people do have a problem.  And the problem is these damned silly outmoded belief systems and their venomous attempts to maintain their position in a world that is changing way too fast for them to keep up with, even if they had a clue how to do it.

Cynic, n.  A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
-Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary

What complete chicken shits,
Hide behind the Catholic Church.  Yeah, I am with you in this war and will be Behind You Every Step Of The Way!  The Mormons wanted the Catholic Church to take the Bullets for them.

The rest of the religious groups used the morons big time.

I hope we win on the overturning of H8.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

It's One Thing To Ban Same Sex Marriages in their Temples...
But to shut down civil unions, which are not at all religious, oversteps the bounds of the church doing for the church.

And they wonder why they've been targets. Um, LDS...you made yourselves targets. Deal with it.

Morman Church, not individual members
contributed the first $500,000 to get the Alaska anti gay marriage amendment rolling in 1997.  It passed of course.  Subsequently when the state tried to formulate domestic partner health benefits, the noise when up that it was against the state constitution.  Palin supported the NO benefits until the State Supreme Court said the state had to offer them.

So it goes.

Formal complaint filed in California

see it! FIRST PARAGRAPH:

Today we filed a formal complaint with the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) aka the Mormon Church of Salt Lake City, Utah for not reporting various non monetary contributions to ProtectMarriage.com - Yes on 8, A Project of California Renewal I.D. # 1302592. The Mormon Church has been highly secretive about its massive involvement in the campaign, but we managed to piece together evidence of some of their more visible activities done directly to communicate with California voters, including:
