If Peter, I mean, Jan, is talking about ManHunt - that is NOT a dating website.  That's a hookup website.  

I don't use dating ad websites, but I'm pretty sure there's plenty in good taste and not "X-Rated".  And I agree that Peter needs to stop cruising the gay hookup postings on Craigslist, and should take a look at straight hookup postings on the same website.  If he believes those are "G-Rated", he's more fucked-up than I thought.

How did Pete get it?  Does he moonlight as the founder and spokesperson for eHarmony?  It really does look and sound an awful lot like there is another guy who is more than a little truth impaired.  We all know that lying isn't the "sin" that he thinks about every second of every day so it's ok for him to bend the truth a bit, isn't it?

dr. neil caved

he caved because there is a bad economy  and he needed to expand his client base and this was an easy way to do it and say it's not my fault. now they can make an annoying tv ads with gay men and women along with str8 people.

Sex vs. Violence

I posted these photos on my blog a couple of days ago. They are from an ad that I ran across on a straight personals site.

I've never seen gay and lesbian people post ads like this. But, many straight people seem to be into guns, violence, rape fantasies, and other fetishes. They need to get help!

I dunno.  The Peter is rather nuts, but I sort of want to e-mail eHarmony and tell them I support what they are doing by allowing same-sex couples so search for each other.

Hmm.  I love contacting corporations and companies, especially when I'm pleased with something they are working towards (Borders Books!).

Porno Dating?

They have their own dating websites which I understand to be extremely X-rated.

Shows how much you know "Jan".  Chemistry.Com has same sex dating services and I haven't seen a porn picture on there yet!

As for eBigotry, er eHarmony, caving into "EEEEEEEEvil", I believe they did it because they had to, not because they wanted to.

I smell a rat . . .

If I were a fundy preacher/psychologist getting my butt sued off I'd seriously consider cutting my losses, setting up a "separate but (un)equal" site for LG people (I doubt the bi and trans people will be accepted) then making sure that it didn't work well so I could say, "See?  I told you my methods were for heterosexuals only!"

Call me paranoid - being a trans woman seems to promote that world view - but I suspect this will just turn into another bullshit propaganda piece for the Religious Reich.  A legitimate dating site run by a right wing FOTF type for lesbian and gay people is just too much of a stretch.  I suggest the GLBT community loudly and publicly tell Dr Warren that they won't play along with his attempt to further marginalize us.

Peter's rant is just another episode of noise designed to alert his audience.  I think its part of the setup.  First the propagandists will scream and complain about it, get people all worked up and attentive on the issue and then drop the "See, I told you so" to the most people they can reach.

Jan in Crystal Lake, IL

Well, I'm quite familiar with Crystal Lake, which is a northwest suburb of Chicago.

This is the same place the 2006 Gay Games had a rowing event and the whack-jobs turned out and tried to stop the event. Of course, The Peter was there under his other organization, "Protect Marriage Illinois". (We won; they LOST. The rowing event proceeded as planned.)

I'm guessing Jan is one of 6 of The Peter's donors over at AFTAH.

Of course this begs the question as to how she believes that same-sex dating sites are X-rated. I'm guessing she's confusing the dating sites with one of The Peter's postings about his road trips to a leather event.
