"If you're gay, lesbian, or bisexual, would you sacrifice for your trans neighbors and siblings? If you're trans, would you sacrifice for your gay, lesbian, or bisexual neighbors and siblings? It's something worth knowing about yourself and those around you."

Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

The Protests Are Working--Keep Them Up!

by: MauraHennessey

Sat Dec 06, 2008 at 10:11:14 AM EST

The protests are working. Every time that the enemies of our equality fire back and try to intimidate us into disavowing the protests, they are admitting fear of us and that we are succeeding. If we buy into their propaganda by reacting to it this time, we lose what is obviously a winning strategy.

We cannot win the war of words or a debate because they are incapable of compromise or change. Their understanding of their God forbids it.

Yes, we are protesting, yes it is directed at a conspiratorial organisation claiming to be a religion as well as individuals. And yes, we will KEEP ON protesting to deter others from denying us citizenship, equality.

Come on, people, we are human beings and American Citizens. Have we bought into their "special rights" claim and thereby ceeded our right to demand, to insist upon freedoms guaranteed in the US Constitution and the California Constitution?

Are we giving away our right to oppose an oppressor who for over two centuries has used Biblical Nuremberg Laws to try and to exclude us from American Life, as the ones in Germany excluded the Jews?

Wake the f+ck up!!!!

MauraHennessey :: The Protests Are Working--Keep Them Up!

Denying us rights to adopt sets in stone our status as unfit parents for cases involving biological parents.

Denying us marriage keeps the mythos of promiscuous fornicators alive.

And they will deny us our freedom to love, they want Lawrence reversed. These same groups are very clear on that.

Denying us equality sets us apart from the American mainstream and lends a governmental sanction in favour of those groups inciting violence against us in the end..

We cannot be scared off by this propaganda from these Goebbels' of the Christian and Mormon Right.

Yes, we protest; yes we make their activities against us a burden and yes we are interfering in their lives just as they have interfered with the most intimate aspect of our lives

And yes, we will continue to do so til we have full American Citizenship

Damn right
..appeals or attacks based on 'manners', the idea that gay people are behaving unacceptably in protesting, are calculated to bypass our rational arguments and tap into our programmed fears of being excluded, ashamed of ourselves and outside normal life. You are regular people, trying to live natural lives inside of a normal biological paradigm. Remember this. THEY are weirdos and freaks.

That last bit was a joke.

since LDS elders and catholic bishops are so keen on the word MARRIAGE
I say THATS what we take from them. In 48 States excluding MA and CT, we put initiatives on the ballots that all previous marriage licenses are named HETERO-MARRIAGE licenses. HETERO-MARRIAGES carry with them ZERO benefits from any level of government,(local, state, or federal) denied single Americans.

The religious right are being called out,
for their lies and bigotry.  And they don't like it.  Prop 8 the musical has hit them hard with the TRUTH. Here is the musical.

Keith Olbermann has had two nights featuring the musical.  The religious bigots are nailed dead to rights with the pick and choose line.  It hit so hard that the fundies are demanding an apology.

Jack Black and Hollywood Stars Defame Christ and the Bible; Apology Demanded
Read the rest, it is funny as can be.

With the phony claims of violence.  The fraudulent attempts to become the victims.  The demand of an apology for the prop 8 musical.  They are scared out of their minds.

This battle is now open to all of America. The MSM has been reporting on it.  The daily talk shows like Dr. Phil has had shows based on prop 8.  The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has had excelent commentary on the wrongs of prop 8.

The separation of Church and State that is written into the US constitution is becoming well known,  I got information from Focus on the family Anus that I have sent to the IRS regarding money donated to Yes on 8, damn near one million dollars.  I am sending carbon copies to a few people in the House of Representatives on the financial comittee.  With some help I also recieved a few statements that people who donated money through Focus on the Anus recieved double tax breaks.

So Daddy D better have all his books in order, as I am sure there was enough given to require an audit.

It is going to be interesting to watch them squirm.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Jack Black
delivering the "shrimp cocktail" bit was my favorite part of that video.

Church and State issue
I have tried to get the Freedom from Religion Foundation, American Atheists and others interested in our marriage issue.  They are moot about anything gay.  The founders are straights, former preachers, people who left religion but held on to homophobia.  We have to do it ourselves.  Thanks for the musical.  It's great.

Same-Sex Marriage is good for the economy.

[ Parent ]
Freedom from Religion Foundation
Actually, it's my understanding that FFRF offered to submit an amicus brief to the CA Supreme Court and were told by GLBT entities in CA, "Thanks, but not thanks."

[ Parent ]
Really
Guess California GLBT's didn't want to get into the Separation of Chuch State issue.  DOMA has it's roots in Christian fundamentalism.  The sponsors of the bill were fundamentalists, such as old fossil Sen. Byrd of W. Virginia.

Same-Sex Marriage is good for the economy.

[ Parent ]
Too much Political Correcness
In the gay movement to really get things going.  At the blogger conference, a Mormon lesbian from Bilerico got applause and acceptance because she did not like the way we were treating Mormons.  How one can be a lesbian feminist and still be a closeted Mormon to her church and family is a mystery to me.  She should not get our approval.
Any fight has two defined enemies fighting against each other. When we blur the lines with an all inclusive politically correct movment we loose the passion.

Same-Sex Marriage is good for the economy.

Keep Gandhi Out Of It
Charles, I agree with you on this - and BTW, good post Maura!

In order for us to get any respect, we have to leave the Gandhi crap out of it.  There's nothing wrong with pointing out the evildoings of religious people towards GLBT people, and that includes naming names.

And gay activists need to stop acting like a nervous battered wife, worried if we get too loud, the "christians" might get upset and start throwing a tantrum - because they're going to use faux outrage and throw tantrums anyway.

Acting like perfect prissy PC queens will get you nowhere, except labeled as a dork who needs to be treated like a 2nd class citizen.

[ Parent ]
so true!
Charles, Maura, Bluegrassfool--

Agree wholeheartedly. If the Xian right is going to put their names, money, and power behind these amendments, they better be ready for the fall-out. Enough with the whining.

I am Christian myself, and I don't see a thing wrong with calling other religious folks out on their sh*t. Jesus actually spent most of his time pointing out the hypocrisy of the "visibly religious" who did not pray in the closet as he advised them to! And who did not love others, but cared more about appearance and money than what was inside people's hearts.

[ Parent ]
I have no problem with the Non-Violence aspects of Gandhi
I also have no problem calling out the Xtians on their hypocracy.

I think we need to look at this as a two-pronged approach. First, we help those who do have the capacity to understand the illogic of keeping marriage from gays. A side-note on this is to not alienate this group by being in the bad actors. This goes into the second prong. The Xtians, with their lies, are already the bad actors. We need to let them keep occupying this space, and to point out their hypocracies and lies as part of the first prong.

This is not, nor should it be, a religious war. It's a protest to gain rights that should be guaranteed under the constitution. To gain these rights, we need to win and keep the hearts and minds of those who can be reasonable, and to let those who are unable to be rational show themselves for the ignorant and hating bunch that we know them to be.

[ Parent ]
A couple dozen protestors are more the Movement than Joe Solmonese or the HRC
right now. They are the ones effecting change, out there on the streets, in front of businesses and churches. We, the massses, have become the movement and perhaps for the first time since about a year after Stonewall, the movement is our of the control and vapid, fear driven timidity of the conserva-queers.

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

[ Parent ]
Correct
if they are squealing, we are doing something right.

The question is - When we vote again in two years, is the Mormon church going to be able to get it's flock to cough up 20 million again ?

My bet is no.

Excuse Me
Excuse me, I find the protests to be disgusting and counter-productive.  Use your heads before you open your mouths!

I find your comment lacking content
Should you perhaps have a salient point to make, then we would have a basis for discussion. Instead, you're parroting the party line in a content-free rant.

Some ideas for discussion points. Which rights of yours may we vote on? If a majority chooses to decide that your marriage is not legal, will you quietly submit to that judgment? And, of course, how are you in any way harmed by the queers getting married?

Civil discourse based on points of law is preferred.

[ Parent ]
What exectly do you
find wrong with them? Polls are showing that a significant number of yes on 8 voters have changed their minds. Playing the nice gay didn't help us, so what else are we supposed to do?

NOM ~ "Mine is an honorable task and I shall drown out anyone who claims otherwise!"

[ Parent ]
Is it possible you might explain yourself?
Protesting against people who mobilized to deprive us of our rights as citizens is disgusting how, exactly?  Engaging in actions that are demonstrably turning public opinion to our side of this debate is counterproductive how, precisely?  I know it must be terribly obtuse of me, but I'm afraid I haven't noticed that stuff.  Please do enlighten me, and everyone else here.  And please, please, please, don't make what you say counterproductive or disgusting, okay?

Americans suffer from an ignorance that is not only colossal, but sacred.  --James Baldwin

[ Parent ]
Holly, cringing whilst begging from the oppressor
has not gotten us a lot either, except DOMA and DADT.
And way too many states with Constitutions that deny us marriage for decades.

And far too many dead.

And, in Tennessee, allies of ours dead.

The protests are our screaming out, loudly, "enough!!!"

I have had enough of LGBT dead, maimed, injured.
I have had enough of our young taking their lives out of desparation.
And I have enough of being a good little establishment dyke.

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Newsweek Poll
Latest Newsweek Poll shows that questions about GLBT rights are trending in our favor.  This may not be a result of the protests, but it shows that the protests aren't hurting our causes as the LDS PR machine would have us believe.

The Four Stages of any movement...
1. First, they ignore you.  (check)
2. Then, they laugh at you.  (check)
3. Then, they fight you. (check)
4. Then, you win.  (to be announced)

I want retaliation on our enemies
We are a potent enemy, we have people in every industry, we have members no one knows about, we are both sexes, all colors, all religions, all ages. I really don't care mush about how ethical our retaliation is, I want them to get the message, there is a SUBSTANTIAL pain to be gotten when you F*CK WITH US.
So whether it's a secretary who knows what a CEO padded his tax return, or did some slimey deal with a politician or is screwing a subordinate...begin some painful dossiers.
If a delivery person has an essential overnight package an enemey company HAS to have...screw up the address or put it on the wrong truck.
Give these SOBs a financial death of a million slight cuts.
