Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Huckabee on Warren: 'it's ridiculous for people to be upset'

by: Pam Spaulding

Sun Dec 21, 2008 at 07:04:57 AM EST

In an appearance on Faux News, Mike Huckabee defended Rick Warren (surprise!). I'm not sure what the news value is on this front, but it certainly underscores the close relationships between gay-hating leaders in the winger evangelical community.

"Well it's ridiculous for people to be upset at Rick Warren. He is one of the most influential spiritual leaders of this generation. I have known Rick for over 30 years. We were actually in seminary together in Fort Worth, Texas, back in the mid-1970s. He is today what he has always been, and that is a humble, gracious, thoughtful, very intellectually capable person."

You'll recall that Huckabee, who was recently slapped down mightily by Jon Stewart, has also claimed that Prop. 8 didn't prohibit same-sex marriage.
HUCKABEE: The very people who voted for Barack Obama in California...also voted to sustain traditional marriage. I refuse to use the term, "ban same-sex marriage." That's not what those efforts did. They affirmed what is. They did not prohibit something. They simply affirmed that which already has and forever has existed.
He also said that the gay rights movement hasn't had enough skulls cracked to earn civil rights.

Jon Perr @ Perrspectives did this nice Huck Top 10 a while back. You think Rick Warren shares the views of the former GOP clown car occupant, rapist/murderer-releasing Baptist minister-without-a-theology-degree?

Then Huckabee
should join with AG Brown to stand against the voiding of existing gay marriages in CA. Since there is nothing to ban or be taken away from anybody.

Also I really love Obama's latest take on this issue. Paraphrasing : noisy debate and diversity is what makes America great. So our new President thinks homophobia is a great part of  the American melting pot of ideas. Fine. Then I am still waiting for him to invite a leader of the Aryan Nation or KKK to speak at the Inauguration.

I wonder....
I wonder what would happen if we started to put everything up to a popular vote? For instance, to me Huck seems like a criminal worthy of being on death row. Under the new apparent laws of this country, could we get enough votes to put him there?
The will of the people must prevail.

...... Next time someone gives you a hard time for being LGBT... just ask them if they are unenlightened...or closeted

"Humble"???
Yes, Rick Warren is a pig.

But he's the polar opposite of the definition of "humble" which was used to describe Wilbur the pig on 'Charlotte's Web'.

And deceitful
In Nigeria, Warren is assocaited with and a supporter of Peter Akinola, mastermind of the anti-gay laws there.
For instance, looking at this blog there will get you five years hard labour

I assume this means
that Huckabee won't be protesting any of Obama's other picks?

Nope, Huck only likes international criminals
and Warren is capable of being charged with a number of offences.

Some of Huckabee's other tolerant, totally unprejudiced beliefs
Huckabee: "Wives Submit To Husbands"

Here's part of the text of a Southern Baptist Convention full-page ad in USA Today in 1998 that Mike Huckabee signed:

"A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ."

Huckabee Equated Homosexuality With Pedophilia, Necrophilia

... In a 1998 book decrying American culture, Huckabee was no seeker of common ground. He drew stark lines, equating environmentalists with pornographers and homosexuality with pedophilia and necrophilia. He also declared that people who do not believe in God tend to be immoral and to engage in "destructive behavior." He drew a rather harsh picture of an American society starkly split between people of faith and those of a secular bent, with the latter being a direct and immediate threat to the nation.

Huckabee equates homosexuality with bestiality

Well, I don't think that's a radical view to say we're going to affirm marriage. I think the radical view is to say that we're going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal.

The bat sh*t crazies rushing to defend Warren only p*sses off more Democrats

"race, taste. and History finally overcome....and you ain't there"
by Tony Kushner

I've got to give Huck credit.
His entire career is built around the premise that you can only achieve happiness and live a fulfilled life by subscribing to a Galilean death cult. And then he goes on TV and calls other people ridiculous.  Jeez, I wish I had balls that big.

Cynic, n.  A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
-Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary

This furiates me so much!!!
They simply affirmed that which already has and forever has existed.

No dumba$$ it hasn't existed forever like you believe.  It was changed a mere 40 years ago and I have no doubt that you were outraged back then too.

Anyone that brings Religion into a Political argument should be an automatic interview end.

Oh these religious non sequitors get me so angry.

"They did not prohibit something"?
"They affirmed what is. They did not prohibit something. They simply affirmed that which already has and forever has existed."

Oh, sure, and the same groups are now at the court trying to get legal marriages already performed invalidated.  Isn't that an attempt to "prohibit something"?  Or is that just sort of an accidental by-product that they feel obligated to point out?  Do these guys think the rest of us are as stupid as their congregations?

Crow

Crow

Isn't this a bit like asking Jeffrey Dahmer for a character reference for Ted Bundy.

But why would we expect anything better from Faux News?
