The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

You might enjoy my diary entry today, Russ.
scrounding up sone long dormant skills I've not udes in some time, I wrote up a legal document concerning the crimes, and yes, they are crimes, of Rick Warren.

The gent violated a number of laws and treaties.

I tell you Chica that no greater abomination exists than women denying their spirit of sisterhood and instead becoming the oppressor. -Rebeca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

This makes perfect sense
After all, who knows more about homophobia than the nation's premiere homophobe?  If you wanted lessons on shoemaking, you wouldn't ask a carpenter.  Of course, Warren wasn't that before Obama came along.  He was merely one of a crowded field and far from the best known of them.  He--and we--have our president-elect to thank for Warren's newfound prominence.

Cynic, n.  A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
-Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary

Someone's miffed the order of the program
and is selling Lowery short again.

The actual order is:
1.  Rick Warren - Homophobia
2.  Aretha Franklin - Respect
3.  Barack Obama - Hope
4.  Elizabeth Alexander - Dignity
5.  Joseph Lowery - Love & Justice

If may begin with a homophobe, but the final word is from one who has dedicated his entire life to social justice, both for people of color and for LGBT folks.
I'm not excusing the Warren inclusion, but it does appear that homophobia is not the last word.

that makes international crimes Obama's first word
because Warren advocated violations of Hague IV, assasination.

Nice message to the leaders that Obama wants to sit down with.

European reaction is that Obama will have a glossier foreign policy in terms of respect for law that is essentially the same as Bush's or that ie in an incurable bungler as far as vetting.

Missing Warren Point
I've watched the Rick Warren apologia interviews, and the more I see, the angrier I get.  It seems he has actually said that gays are "proof that evolution" is false.  At first glance, this might be taken as a creationist-vs.-evolutionist side-taking.  But if you think about it, he's actually saying gays are sub-human.

This was a label placed upon not only mental defectives but gays, Communists, Jews, and even, in satellite Croatia, Serbs when the NAZI'S wished to punish or annihilate those who either stood up to them or became their scapegoat.  This man is anathema to common sense and the sort of diversity Obama is supposed to represent.  It is a slap in the face to people like David Geffen, people who pumped seven figure sums into his campaign chest.

One supposes that a silver lining to this cloud on the inauguration will be a crumb, like abolition of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."  Sadly, the end to that policy was inevitable given the disparate elements calling for its abandonment.  Once, again, gay people have been thrown under the bus.

Against stupidity, even the angels fight in vain. --Schiller

Why Warren supports Akinola
and Akinola's draconian and inhuman anti-gay laws is precisely the reason that you cited. His disdain and disregard extends to the Prime Minister of Iran whose assasinatin he is calling for.

Obama is either the worst vetter in history(Goddess preserve us when he nominates a Justice to the USSC) or he has Bush's attitude towards international law.

Gays and Evolution
I'm amused by this argument.  If you believe in evolution, how can there be gay people, because that "defective gene" would not reproduce?  By that same logic, we would have no infertile heterosexuals; natural selection would weed out the infertility gene.

Putting that aside, though, if the existence of gay people disproves evolution, then we're left with God creating gay people.

But I know Warren can't believe that, for he won't let the gay people God created into his Saddleback Mountain church unless they stop their gay lifestyle.  How can you stop being what God created?

Therefore, if it is something you can stop doing, it is a behavior, not something God created.  So, if it's a behavior, its existence doesn't disprove evolution, for there is no "defective gene" to pass along.

If anything makes me question evolution, it's the existence of Rick Warren.  Christianity is much more a "lifestyle" than being gay.

Fierce defender of what... ?

It's side-splitting fun watching roadies for The Hopey Obama dog and pony show try squirming and wriggling to distance themselves from the Warren debacle. It's not easy to come up with a Party Line to explain this latest bit of pandering by The Obama.

The real experts at that were the Stalinists of the CPUSA, and in the book When the Old Left Was Young author Robert Cohen describes how they scrambled to explain the wild gyrations of Soviet foreign in the 1930's. One day Hitler was bad and the next day he was good.

GLBT Democrats aren't nearly as good at weaseling out of things as the Stalinists. They set themselves up ignoring the reality of Obama's deep seated religious bigotry and promoting him as the best thing since peanut butter and jelly. Obama and Warren contributed heavily to our defeat in California, Arizona and Florida. GLBT Democrats put their partisanship above the needs of the movement and they'll have to live with that.

GLBT Democrats, from Obama roadies to HRC and No on 8 are always ready to sacrifice the needs of the movement to partisan politics. They flat out deny the role that The Obama's bigotry played in our recent defeats at the polls. The candidate they foisted on us isn't a 'fierce' defender of anything but giving $8-9 trillion to the Wall Street dunces who wrecked the economy, continuing and expanding the war to please the merchants of death, and his attitude towards us is the political equivalent of love the sinner but the hate the sin.

The truth is as clear as day. Obama panders to bigots like Warren and McKlurkin while trawling for bigot votes. He does it nonstop; 24/7/365. Now The Obama himself is pushing us under the bus, sitting down in the driver's seat, putting the key in the ignition ...

So do we say "Ouch! Not Again" or do we begin to take action defend ourselves from The Obama and his bigot pals? The time for childish reliance on vacuous political hustlers like Clinton and Obama is over. The time for reliance on sellouts artists like HRC and No on 8 is over.

As hope turns to rage, millions of people in unions, minority communities and the antiwar movement will be moving to the left, to political independence. It's time to join them and leave the last closet, the political closet.

The looter rich much prefer working with Democrats like Obama and the Clintons - they're greedier, they fool more people and they're able to get away with a lot more than Republicans.

feinstein washes her hands of Warren decision, via queerty.com from salon
"Salon: "Making matters worse, the Obama team evidently decided not to alert anyone who was likely to be upset about the pick ahead of time. News of Warren's involvement in the inauguration came out of the congressional committee working on the inauguration instead of from Obama's own inaugural committee, a wholly separate entity. At least initially, aides for Obama's inaugural committee said the decision had come from Congress, not Obama. In fact, that wasn't the case at all. "That was solely the choice of the president-elect," said Gil Duran, a spokesman for Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the California Democrat who chairs the congressional committee. Obama's staff sent explicit orders for whom to include in the inaugural ceremony up to Capitol Hill, since Congress is, technically, in charge of that part of the day. "Sen. Feinstein obviously disagrees with the views of Rev. Warren on issues that affect the gay and lesbian community," Duran said. "However, Sen. Feinstein respects the president-elect's prerogative to select a cleric to deliver the invocation." (That one doesn't need any translation - Feinstein's office was politely, respectfully, throwing Obama under the bus.)"
http://www.queerty.com/why-is-...

I do give Dianne Feinstein some credit of washing her hands of the decision of Warren. Pelosi would be wise to do the same.
Maybe team Obama didn't add this calculation into the decision of Warren, (although I must admit, I wouldn't want to play chess against Obama, he is a ruthless strategist.)It's Not just folks who detest Warren's prop 8 campaign were queers, it was 48% of the most progressive people in CA, with the VAST majority of Hollywood. In other words the Democratic Party's ATM. You p*ss off that golden Goose, and she ain't gonna get any stretch marks in 2010, dropping you an unlimited amount of eggs.
Maybe if the congressional Inaugural team gets enough HEAT over Warren, the actual "decider" about Warren will be revealed...I think it's that weasly faith based DuBois who selected McClurkin trying to f*ck with us one time TOO MANY.
Turn you back on Warren and kiss the partner of your choice the entire Invocation
LOVE conquers H8,
and if Democrats think they are herding US CATS, I suggest they have plenty of band aids handy, for that whole flying ball of fur and claws coming to town.

Did anyone ask Secretary Designate Clinton
how she thought Europe would react to a man supporting violations of international law and supporting a man, Akinola, whose actions Europe has condemned, as his minister of choice to kick off the Obama-nation?

Because it looks to the Europeans like Bush in a new, glossier wrapper....

DADT Not a crumb
One supposes that a silver lining to this cloud on the inauguration will be a crumb, like abolition of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."  Sadly, the end to that policy was inevitable given the disparate elements calling for its abandonment.  Once, again, gay people have been thrown under the bus.

Actually I think repealing DADT - and doing it this year is substantive.  Gays should use this opportunity to extract some substance (not just the gay band in the inaugural parade).  Another area which I think should be higher priority is allowing gays to sponsor their partners with immigration.

The Obama people have been saying 2010 or so
but given the midterm elections then I doubt it....

"repealing DADT - and doing it this year"
Ain't gonna happen.  The Obama flacks are saying not till 2010 or possibly later.  Like, maybe in that tiny window between the midterm elections and the onset of the 2012 campaign.  If Congress doesn't take the lead on this issue (and how likely is that?) we won't see it for years.  Don't hold your breath for anything "substantive" from Obama for the LGBT community.  God is in the mix, or at least Rick Warren and Donnie McClurkin are.  How many times does Obama have to say it before it sinks in?  His personal superstitions trump the constitution, and that's the end of the discussion.
