The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

A Further Update: Why A Commission Is Investigating The Suspension Of A Trans Student

by: Autumn Sandeen

No Or Both Gender Male Female Restroom Sign - Gender Neutral Restroom Bathroom SignIn the piece Commission to investigate suspension of transgender student, I made a reasonable assumption that a transgender student was harassed for using a female restroom based on operative status. Apparently, she was discriminated against relating to whether or not she had genital reconstruction surgery (GRS), but it apparently was for being post-operative, and not pre-operative. From the New York Daily Record:

Jamie Nicole Anderson says she just wants to be treated like everyone else. The York woman is a 42-year-old ex-Marine who takes her 11-year-old son to school and never misses his football, baseball or hockey games.

...In May, she got a sex change operation, from male to female, and, she says, that's when the trouble started.

...Anderson said she was banned from using a women's rest room and was repeatedly referred to as "he" and "his" by her [Harrisburg Area Community College (HAAC)] clinical instructors.

Further:

Anderson said she was suspended for three days Oct. 2 by HACC for "insubordination," using the women's rest room after being told not to because some operating room employees said they were "uncomfortable" with her being there.

Anderson said she was dismissed from her program Oct. 30 for her violation of a dress code that forbids more than two earrings in an ear.

"I forgot to take (one) out that day," she said.

Anderson said she filed the complaint because she wants the situation corrected for her and other transgendered people like her.

If one is born with a penis, I tend to believe the arguments against fully inclusive anti-discrimination language will always revolve around the bathroom, whether or not a trans person/a person of trans history currently has a penis or not. Some transsexuals (and people of trans history) see a difference between pre-operative and post-operative folk where anti-discrimination rules should only be applied to the post-operative folk. In the real world where discrimination is often based on fear and/or hate, discrimination is often based on what the genitals looked like at birth, not what one's genitals look like now, or not what gender one is between the ears. It's based on societal gender norms associated with natal genitalia shape -- just as it is for effeminate gay and straight men, and masculine lesbian and straight women.

Anti-discrimination laws that give legal recourse for sexual orientation and gender identity and expression based discrimination are what keeps businesses and government from behaving badly against those perceived to be gender variant people.

Jamie is never going to be perceived as a woman by those who discriminated against her. I'm with Jamie -- to correct the situation for her and other transgender people like her, sometimes one has to fight against unacceptable behavior sanctioned by businesses and governments.

It's really a very simple procedure that most children can perform by the age they enter kindergarten:

1. Go into a bathroom.
2. Enter stall and lock behind you.
3. #1 or #2 or both.
4. Flush.
5. Exit stall.
6. Wash hands.
7. Exit bathroom.

Yet somehow fundies, commissions and Larry Craig (to name a few) get all confused by it all...

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

Even simpler than that
I'm willing to bet a sizable majority of Americans grew up in a household where both men and women used the same bathroom.  I'd even bet many have been to public restrooms where the same facility was used for men and women, like a porta-john at a park or something.

Why is it that when the private restroom stalls are combined in a room with a larger public sink-and-mirror area, everyone starts freaking out about the bathroom?  I have been to males-only bathrooms all my life and I've never once seen a penis nor shown anyone mine (and hell, Larry Craig was my senator most my life, too!)  Is there a lot of tit and twat flashing going on in the ladies room I'm unaware of?

I can barely see a reasonable protest regarding urinals - they are a bit public, and I suppose other, luckier men than me might have an issue with their tallywacker being viewed at a distance.  So put them around a privacy wall.  For the space being taken up by a mens and a womens room, couldn't you build a nice big privacy-friendly unisex bathroom?

Furthermore, I don't know why women haven't been pushing for big unisex bathrooms for years now.  Every time I am at a major public event, the line for the mens room moves quickly while women like up for their bathroom for minutes.  Your gender is being used as an excuse to supply you with separate and unequal public facilities!  (Wait, I know.  It's so y'all have a private place to gossip about your dates, isn't it  ;-)

"If people let government decide which foods they eat and medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." -- Thomas Jefferson

Tallywhacker?
OMG, I almost pee'd myself when I read that. I better use that unisex bathroom now...

Hate stops a beating heart.

Are they next
going to suggest that before one can enter a restroom, one has to flash one's bits at sensors to activate the fucking door?

This may upset Mrs. Grundy and The Church Lady a tad... and we all thought TSA cheap feel-ups were invasive and demoralizing!

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

Yeah the Only reason I had surgery,,,
Again with the BS, will people ever just grow up?

Someone was 'uncomfortable' with having a tranny in the restroom with them, so they tell the tranny to go take a leak elsewhere from now on.

Maybe she should use the Dean's office instead.

So, what would have happened if, instead of "transexual", you substituted the term "black", or "hispanic"? Would they have made them go use a different restroom?

Not such a silly question, since I have been alive long enough to have actually seen "colored" restrooms when visiting East Texas and Louisiana back when I was young. I am sure it was beause white women were 'uncomfortable' with having a black woman in the same restroom.

Jamie is part of the same grand conspiracy by all us trannies to get into women's restrooms and locker rooms for the sole purpose of molesting or harrasing women just because that is what we do.

We are just messing with them for fun, until we take over the world that is.

Personally...
I can't even imagine going into a men's bathroom now.  That would be deadly dangerous for me, especially I am also post operative...

Hate stops a beating heart.

the college has a dress code about the # of earrings one can wear?
sounds like pretty much everything in that school is ass backwards.  I thought the alleged fear of a tranny using the ladies room was supposedly due to an irrational fear that a man would fake it to rape women in the loo now the problem is the fact that people have decided she is a he regardless of the type of equipment? If people are that irrational, then there should be no gender determined bathrooms or locker rooms and everyone be able to do their business (or change) in a unisex, single person facility.

Using the toilet
All of this says a lot about where we are as a people in society.  Obsessed.

I see the purpose of a toilet as being a place to go freshen up, take a pee or move the bowels, wash up and leave.  Whether someone else in the toilet at the same time has a birth penis, a birth vagina, a fabricated penis, or a fabricated vagina, or any combination, or none of the above, really doesn't alter the point of going in to do your biological function which thankfully is the same for all of us.
