Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

I am delighted
that there is now empirical evidence that "conversion" therapies and boot camp situations that try to change a child's sexual orientation to something less offensive to their parents are harmful to children.

I expect that all such programs will be shut down forthwith and any who insist on damaging our queer youth be prosecuted for endangering the welfare of minors. To increase a youth's suicide risk by A FACTOR OF EIGHT is criminal and should be treated that way. Period.

I hope this really gets out to all who need to read it
I have only recently begun to learn of kids being thrown out of their homes because they are LGBTQ.
This has gotten me making calls to find out how I can help.
Thank you for posting this.

long overdue
I say that an educational blitz on the impact of wrong heterosexual interference in tender gay lives won't be wasted.
The prevailing ignorant opinion refuses to connect the causation and correlation of rejection, with the negative outcomes in gay lives.
These people believe that homosexuality itself is a weakness of emotional or spiritual constitution and THAT is the reason for the increase in risk factors.

The worst of them refuse to understand as if prejudice against gay people doesn't and never did exist. Or if it did, it's justified.

When there is a rejection of opportunities to BE educated. To treat education about gay people and with gay and straight youths integrating in support groups tells you that such a study might also be rejected as an illegitimate part of the 'homosexual agenda'.

I think the approach towards education for the entire public can't be emphasized enough. And we can well question someone: what's so bad about being educated? Why reject an opportunity to learn something since the traditional alternative creates fear and distrust to the point of lives being lost?
Fair question. Hard to squirm out of.

When I read this, my first thought
was of the children of radical homobigots.  Can you imagine if one of The Peter's kids turned out to be gay or trans?  It makes me sick just thinking about what that child would go through, having a parent with such a deep-seeded hatred and intolerance of LGBT people that there's no chance of understanding and acceptance.  It's beyond sad.

The fact that this is still happening in America pisses me off
No youth should EVER have to go through such rejection or attempts at conversion. God/Allah/the Universe/the Flying Spaghetti Monster/the Great Bird of the Galaxy/Whatever made us the way we are. To force change or to reject means to condemn. To condemn means to abuse and use words which can be sharper than knives. And people wonder why we get upset when our rights are in jeopardy.
