This man...

...seems quite disturbed.  Not only is he unnaturally and obsessively fixated on the sex acts of others, but he seems to abhore the thought of natural, consensual sex between two adults.  He appears to have an extreme distaste for those who are not like him and has turned his inability to discriminate freely and without criticism into a cry of victimhood.  I seriously hope he seeks some sort of professional help -- if not for his sake, than for the sake of those who are constantly in his company.

...in his crazy rant, he has helped prove what I've always thought, that the true nature of those who oppose equal rights for gay citizens is not based on any scientific or logical finding or even any real spiritual finding, those are just convenient covers that would be disregarded easily if they did not fit in with their preconceived notions.  Their opposition is founded simply on their illogical hate.  No matter how much you dress it up with skewed research or flowery words, the truth still rings true.

Is that he claims he doesn't want to talk about it, or explain things to his kids.  Yet, at the same time, he has no problem going on and on and on about it on his radio show and in his fish-wrapper books. Why?  Because it makes him money.  That point cannot be brought up enough: all this "disgust," all this "concern," is all about preying on the insecurities of others and getting them to tune and and buy books to have those insecurities validated.

As far as hearing stuff through the wall--good lord, I was brought up in a trailer house.  Not only did I hear stuff, the walls shook.  And as ooked out as I was (no one is comfortable listening to their parents have sex, no one wants to know about it), I understood the role of sex in a human relationship and realized it was really none of my business.  Live and let live.  Headphones also help alot.  :)

Yeah, well, I don't generally turn to Michael Savage for a definition of "normal" for things.  I live in the real world, where I have, by virtue of almost half a century of experience, concluded that the range for normal is enormous and the arc of the curve isn't terribly steep.

Why answer this man's inane 6th grade vitriol with inane 6th grade vitriol?  Rather, ask him this: why does he hold his audience in such contempt that he feels he has to talk to them like a 6th grader?  Then, when he's done obfuscating about that, ask him this: how it is that a country that put a man on the moon over a generation ago is still having this conversation when so many other nations don't get nausea over it and have moved past obsession with people's private lives?  If that doesn't work, ask him how a grown man whose response to current events is regurgitatory expects to be taken seriously as an adult, never mind a journalist.  Then hand him a dictionary to look up "regurgitatory".

Caught my folks in the act at age 8; scarred me for life, man!  Maybe that's why I'm a big ol' lez?  It probably didn't help that my "normal" mommy tried to confide in me when I was a teen that my "normal" daddy tried a little backdoor delight on her.  I practically ran screaming from the room on that one!  Then she tried to cover by telling me that "was a long time ago" and we haven't had sex in 15 years.  EECCKKK!!!  If that's "normal," I'll take queer any day of the week.  And, for us faggots and dykes, it wouldn't have been so bad growing up with two mommies or two daddies.  Some of us would have preferred that to being forced to go to the prom with some ugly distant cousin just so everyone will think we're "normal."

When I was 10

my curiosity got the better of me.

I always wondered why my parents stayed in bed so late on Sunday mornings.  So I snuck into their room before dawn and hid in the closet. I fell asleep for a few hours. I was awaked by some moaning noises.  Watched the whole thing through the louvers in the door.

I thought it was great fun.

OMG, well it's not exactly like we can complain to his bosses.  I just did some quick googling thur the web pages.  TNR Enerprises or TalkRadioNetwork is owned by Roy Masters and sons of Grants Pass, Oregon.  Masters is a self made cult leader.  His "religous" group is the Foundation for Human Understanding...he has lots and lots of money. Plus I found this great article linking Masters to none other than WND aka WorldNetDaily.....Masters must she MSavage a younger louder more obnoxious version of himself...what he would like to say...who are the advertisers on TalkRadio...stay away from giving them any money.

When do children get a say over anything their parents do, honestly?  And they can be harmed by frequent moves, by parental debt, by gambling, by unemployment, by illness, by divorce, by an angry marriage, by a parent's mental abuse, by fighting, by addiction, by stupidity, by any number of things.  Or not. You can't predict how your kids will react to what you and your spouse or partner do in life or with life.

You can predict, however, that Michael Savage was savaged by someone or something in his life, because he's filled with such incredible contempt, and as mentioned above, is obsessed with same-sexuality.  The man is twisted, and it's not Melissa Etheridge's fault!

My Radio Qualifications

As I approach the debut of my national weekend radio show, I have some concerns.  Do I, a dude with zero radio and miniscule pundit experience, have the qualifications to succeed on talk radio?

Let's see, I've done a whole bunch of drugs in my life.  That should disqualify me in some people's eyes... but so has Rush Limbaugh, and he's #1.

I'm way oversexed.  I think about sex almost all the time.  When I see a beautiful woman, I can't help but think of what it would be like to rub a soapy loofah all over her nude body in a shower... ah, Bill O'Reilly does quite well on the radio, too.

I'm not the most educated guy.  There are plenty of subjects I know very little about, yet I never feel restrained from offering my opinion and sticking to it like glue anyway... but I understand Sean Hannity makes bank doing talk radio.

From time to time, I may say something irredeemably stupid... Thanks, Michael Savage and Glenn Beck -- you've convinced me I DO have what it takes to succeed in talk radio!

Oh, except one thing.  I'm a lousy liar.  Might complicate things a bit.

Wow...

I didn't have any interest in watching the Oscars but I did see a clip of her giving her speech.  My first reaction was that it looked like the cancer took a fairly heavy toll on her and I hoped that she is ok.  I have spent a lot of time here so her thanking her wife and family didn't strike me as strange, what I found interesting was that the media decided to focus on it.  Maybe not as much as they would have done 10 or 20 years ago but they still were trying to make it sound scandalous. 
As for Savage, maybe he would have thought differently if she was 20 and it was a Girls Gone Wild video.  He sounds like he is a pig like that.

In high school honors English I had a teacher named Joel Dick and he couldn't get anything accomplished because every day, invariably, someone would call him Mr. Dick and the classroom would dissolve into uncontrollable laughter. In retrospect I now know that a high percentage of honors English high school male students are incipient gay men so it's all more understandable now. LOL

Michael Whiner is a character playing to an audience...

...He may actually, in his drugged mind--he's an herbalist, after all--believe what he says, but he's doing nothing more than playing to a demographic.  He's like Andrew Dice Clay (remember him?) or Marion Morrison (a/k/a John Wayne)

It's the demogragphic that should be of concern.

The only way to get rid of this creep is to approach the advertisers.  Attacking him directly will only enhance his advertising ability.  It's the advertisers who fuel American media.

Well, raj, I checked out the advertisers.  If you go to the TalkRadioNews web site there is only ONE outside advertiser on the site.  It's a media company based in Alberta Canada...all the rest of the "ads" are inhouse adds for the Roy Masters enterprise empire...The Royt Masters universe appears to be self funding....don't know who/if there are advertisers on the actual radio show, don't care to listen to find out.

sort of similar thing about holding hands came out of someone at works mouth today. but he doesn;t work for my company, just one in the building.

I just had this debate at work today.  This guy was saying how he thinks it is gross that two guys were holding hand in public however when I pointed to a guy and a girl making out and then walking away holding hands it was all of the sudden ok.

Although he is an absolute shmuck for making the gross comment, he did say, it is just what I am not used to and he is trying to make an effort to understand other people more.

I think the bext thing that came out of it is that he is dating a woman of color and I said, how does it make you feel when people point at you in public,  he then realized that what is gross to some isn't gross to others.  He still thinks two men or two women are innapropriate but at least he is making an effort,  why can't the idiots like the guy in this article at least try to make an effort to understand?  =0(

oh, similar tale

I don't make a point to hide my life to anyone at work, so I have a picture of my partner on my desk (even a pic of the ultrasound of our baby!) and my computer screensaver has some pics from the old show Xena:Warrior Princess (for those who don't know there was a huge lesbian following and lots of lesbian themes running through it).  Well, one of those pics showed the two female characters kissing.  This woman from another department was in my office and saw that and said, "Ewww, who those nasty girls kissin'!"

I shouldn't have been caught off guard, but I was.  But I also figured that if she thinks it's nasty then there's not much I can do to change her mind.  Having worked with a lot of black folks now, I can say that once their mind is made up...it's made up.
