Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Wisconsin: Gov. proposes legal protections for same-sex couples

by: Pam Spaulding

Fri Feb 20, 2009 at 07:00:00 AM EST

Hero of the day. Governor Jim Doyle, drew praise and fire for his speech today on his budget proposal to offer limited domestic partnership protections for the state's same-sex couples. (Fox 11):
Under the plan state employees would also get health insurance coverage extended to domestic partners.

"I just think we should be fair about this-the University of Wisconsin is the only Big 10 University that does not have benefits for domestic partnerships and that means we're at a competitive disadvantage," said Governor Doyle.

Those who oppose the measure say the state has more pressing things to deal with.

"In a time of financial crisis like we're facing as a state, our governor is simply not paying attention to the fiscal priorities of our state. Instead he's sneaking in a really radical social agenda and we find that unfortunate, and probably very dangerous for the state," said Julaine Appling with Wisconsin Family Action.

Fair Wisconsin applauded the governor's proposal, which many say flies in the face of the state's marriage amendment.
Fair Wisconsin applauds Gov. Jim Doyle for including limited domestic partnership protections for the state's same-sex couples in his biennial budget proposal.  The proposed domestic partnerships will grant basic protections to same-sex couples in caring, committed relationships, including hospital visitation and the ability to take Family Medical Leave to care for a sick partner.

"This is an important step toward ensuring that someone in a committed relationship is able to care for his or her partner," said Glenn Carlson, Executive Director of Fair Wisconsin.  "No one should ever have to worry about being blocked at their partner's hospital room door, or have to make the heartbreaking decision to quit their job in order to care for a seriously ill partner.  This isn't about being gay or straight-it's about being decent."

"We commend Gov. Doyle for his leadership on this issue," Carlson continued.  "We look forward to working with legislators to make sure that this fair-minded budget is passed quickly."

...To be eligible for a domestic partnership, two individuals must be of the same sex, both be at least 18 years old, share a common residence, not be nearer of kin than second cousins, and neither party can be married or in another domestic partnership with anyone else.  Domestic partnerships will be administered at the county level, and couples must sign a legal declaration of their commitment.

Julaine, Julaine, Julaine.
Oh, Julaine.

Where does one begin with Julaine?

Four years ago, when we invited Julaine to participate on a panel, she was genuinely surprised to discover that we were actually "nice" to her, and that the audience was civil and polite.

Then, she proposed co-sponsoring a debate with us over same-sex marriage - she'd bring in one of their "big guns" (her words) and we could bring in one of ours.

I worked with her cordially over the course of six months to make this happen - talking on the phone, emailing, sitting in her office, selecting the moderator and on and on and on.  Among other things, we agreed to have campus security on hand for her "big gun"  ....  Our "big gun" requested no such service, though.

Her "big gun" was Glenn Stanton, the "research fellow" for Dobson's FotF.  (A "recovered" homo, btw.) Our big gun was Even Wolfson from FreedomToMarry.org.  In a 1300 seat auditorium, the crowd filled every aisle, every nook and cranny where someone could stand.  And to even the most impartial eye, Wolfson utterly demolished Stanton.   The crowd occasionally hooted and hollered, but remained orderly. At the end, a large group gathered around Wolfson, a much, much smaller group around Stanton, both groups asking questions, thanking the men for their participation.  It's important to note that both men were surrounded by supporters, antagonists.

And the next day?

The next day, on the Wisconsin Family Council website, there appeared a copy of a press release issued by Appling (and sent out to churches all across Wisconsin) stating that the crowd had been so unruly and threatening that Mr. Stanton had to be escorted out of the auditorium by a campus police officer, for his own safety.

No mention in the press release, however, that the campus police officer, who scoffed when I shared the press release with her, was a lesbian.

Poor Miss Julaine,
Julaine has been an embarassment in this state for years.  She's practically irrelevant to anyone outside the extreme right .... but dangle a microphone in front of a fool and they'll surely make their way to it.  She is just entirely TOO caught up in this single issue. She is very one-dimensional and obviously spends her days and nights centered on this one topic. I'm surprised that she doesn't trade in her dated business attire for a burqa - it would be much more fitting to her philosophy.

This may be a bit rancorous but this blog posting says it all about how well Ann Coulter of the Dairyland is thought of:
