Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

RNC Chair Michael Steele: Gay Rights? Depends on when you ask me...

by: waymonhudson

Tue Feb 24, 2009 at 11:27:56 AM EST

(I laughed so hard when I saw Steele tap dancing away from his shiny new faux "outreach" to gays.   - promoted by Pam Spaulding)

Michael Steele, the new RNC Chair who has promised an "off the hook" make-over for the Republican Party, can't seem to get all of his issues squared away or remember what he's said in past interviews.

1_62_steele_michael.jpgSteele, who has a bad record on LGBT rights, seemed to be trying to change his tune in order to make the GOP brand more palatable to younger and more progressive voters.  On FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Steele said the Republicans need to reach out to and make room for those that support gay rights.

Well, he just closed the doors to that big tent (as if they were ever open).  Responding to the Oscar wins for MILK, Steele was asked by radio show host Mike Gallagher, who attacked Penn for ignoring "the majority of Americans" by supporting gay marriage rights and going against America's "fundamental value," if he thought the party "ought to consider" something like civil unions.

Steele's answer?  He decided to quote a little Amy Winehouse- "No, No, No!"

Much more after the jump....

GALLAGHER: Is this a time when Republicans ought to consider some sort of alternative to redefining marriage and maybe in the road, down the road to civil unions. Do you favor civil unions?

STEELE: No, no no. What would we do that for? What are you, crazy? No. Why would we backslide on a core, founding value of this country? I mean this isn't something that you just kind of like, "Oh well, today I feel, you know, loosey-goosey on marriage." [...]

GALLAGHER: So no room even for a conversation about civil unions in your mind?

STEELE: What's the difference?

It seems Steele has a bit of an identity crisis.  Gay rights are good when he needs to sound centrist (like when he need to get elected to his RNC Chair position), but not when the base needs some firing up.  Of course, this is from the man who once said:

We need to uptick our image with everyone, including one-armed midgets.

Way to lead the party out of the wilderness, Steele.

Did we expect better?
After all, this is a man who wanted to lead this particular party at this particular time.

The Republicans are a sinking ship.  And the rats are scurrying.

People aren't listening properly.
Steele never claimed that he or the Republican party might support gay rights. All he said was that he's going to welcome "gay rights supporters", to vote with him on all the other issues. In other words, he's pledging to mercifully refrain from calling Susan Collins et al. "RINOs" (Republicans in Name Only) for their occasional straying from the official party line, which will remain as it is.

Who's going to "out" this queen?
Anybody?

Buehller?

technically
that only puts him one "right" short of the same position that Obama has on LGBT issues.  He was only asked about civil unions, right?  He didn't say he doesn't support ALL other rights for LGBTs.  Maybe he supports everything BUT civil unions and marriage.  And, Obama supports everything but marriage.  Just one difference between them, maybe.

expected behavior from him
Steele is tap-dancing trying to strike a balance between presenting a new image of the Republicans (including using phrases like "off the hook") and reassuring the base that it's still their party.

Be better, not bitter!

fresh coat of paint
same politics.

"I am the sledgehammer to your 10,000 mirrors." everyone needs to be open and out of their closets.

He must be tryng to impress
Bobby Jindal and Peter LeBarbera.  Funny is how the LCRs will continue to support the republcan party, or should I say be part of the republican party.  The Republican party wll need every vote they can get to gain back any power and yet the Peter wants the party leadership to dump the LCRs. Like dumping the LCRS is going to expand the GOP base. The republican party is already home of the Bigots and ther voting base wll not get larger by dumping the LCRs.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

He's like a creature out of a Douglas Adams novel
Someone should tell the GOP that just because they can't see or hear the audience, it doesn't mean the audience can't see or hear them. They seem to frequently forget that.

Ugh!
"....ignoring "the majority of Americans" by supporting gay marriage rights."

Polls show that marriage equality is more popular nationwide than the Republican Party.  And in California, substantially so.

Still the front page of the Log Cabin Boyz Club...
http://online.logcabin.org/new...

"Michael Steele is the right man at the right time to lead the GOP," said Log Cabin President Patrick Sammon.  "It's a great day for our Party.  Steele is an inclusive leader who will bring a new energy and a new vision to the GOP at a critical time."

who are the MOST dispised in the RNC Blacks or Queers?
I saw all the putrid racist garbage all over Malkin's blog, and the sh*t David Duke spewed. Maybe Steele really needs a scapegoat more hated by these racist thugs...step up for your BASHING Log Cabinistas...ya know ya like it ROUGH and DRY.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?
