Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

The only thing Buttars did wrong was open his trap about the homos, say lawmakers

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Mar 02, 2009 at 13:15:00 PM EST

Apparently Utah State Senator Chris Buttars and his fellow homophobes in the legislature have some sort of blood oath or agreement not to go into public anti-gay rants; he made them all look bad when he said that gays are "probably the greatest threat to America going down I know of. Yep, the radical gay movement." He got a wrist slapping, but they wholeheartedly agree with him on the topic. The Deseret News reports:
"I have to tell you publicly that most of what Sen. Buttars said - I agree with," Sen. Howard Stephenson, R-Draper, said on the weekly radio program "Inside Utah Politics" on KTKK-AM. "However, my concern is that we, as a Senate caucus, had an agreement that because Senator Buttars has become such a lightning rod on this issue, that he would not be the spokesperson on the issue."

Buttars violated that agreement, Stephenson said, adding that the comments undermined "everything we've done" in the last three weeks of the legislative session.

"It happened not because he said a lot of things wrong, although I don't agree with some of the things he said, but because he decided to be the spokesman again when we had decided, as a caucus, and he had agreed, that he was such a lightning rod, that it wasn't productive for him to be the spokesman on this issue," Stephenson said.

"I think the bulk of people in Utah agree with 90 percent of what he said," Sen. Dennis Stowell, R-Parowan, chimed in on the radio program. "He is a lightning rod, and I'm afraid the gay community's using him a little bit to get more publicity."

Well, gee, why do you think Buttars made headlines around the country? It wasn't because of the LGBT community. That story blew up because the man is certifiable. We didn't make him say:
In an interview with documentary filmmaker Reed Cowan, released by ABC 4 on Tuesday night, Buttars said the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community doesn't want "equality, they want superiority."

"It's the beginning of the end. Oh, it's worse than that. Sure. Sodom and Gomorrah was localized. This is worldwide," the West Jordan Republican said in the interview.

And you can read and listen to equally deranged comments here. No, the real problem, Sen. Stowell, is that your slip is showing. You can't hide your side's hateful bigotry, because, well, you know deep down it's wrong, and to utter bile like Buttars shows everyone where you all stand. He's only a jackass with loose lips.

Besides, if you're correct and 90% of people agree with you and Buttars, why is there a need for the vow of silence?

Hat tip to Inside, Looking Out, which has the audio. They note:

Relevant segment 38:20 minutes in - be sure to listen to the end of that segment - particularly the caller. The entire clip may be worth a listen as well... just to get a sense of how clueless these folks really are...
Don't forget to check the comments thread at the Deseret News. There are howlers in there. Share your favorites in the comments.

Meanwhile, in earlier related news, Utah tops states with the highest consumption of porn.

The biggest consumer, Utah, averaged 5.47 adult content subscriptions per 1000 home broadband users; Montana bought the least with 1.92 per 1000...Eight of the top 10 pornography consuming states gave their electoral votes to John McCain in last year's presidential election

Of course they don't want Buttars as the spokesman on "the issue."
They're looking for that calm individual who can keep a cool head while explaining eloquently and reasonably why we should be murdered.

Note to the trogs in Utah: Buttars isn't the problem.

Now that I've had my say, you asswipe conservatard hypocrites (is there any other kind?) can get back to your porn.

Bulk Of Utah People
"I think the bulk of people in Utah agree with 90 percent of what he said."

Who ALSO happens to be the bulk of people swiping up gay porn like it's going out of style.

Who cares what that state of cousin-fuckers think?

He comes...
...from a state of Pornmons.

Isn't there a statistic somewhere that basically says that the more sexually repressed a society, the more the incidence of sex-related crimes, such as rape and child abuse?

They know that hate is a hard sell
Once you get past the twenty five percent or so that will hate anything and everything as long as Rush or Ann told them to. Trying to sell hate to a majority of a population is much, much more difficult. Therefore they attempt to sugar coat the message by saying such things as it's "to protect marriage", (prop 8), or it's to "fight terrorism", (The Patriot Act), and so forth. It doesn't matter what the message is, HATE is their one and only goal. To be allowed to hate both personally and officially and to gain such control over other peoples' lives which they would never cede to anybody else over their own.

Same thing we've been hearing for decades
from the haters.  It's perfectly okay to be a bigot but never okay to say so.  This is true of anti-gay bigotry, racism, antisemitism, etc., etc., etc.  It's only one manifestation of the good old American hypocrisy that has been the dominant streak in our national character since the Pilgrims landed and started plundering Native American graves.  It is perfectly all right to be anything you want in private, no matter how gross, hateful or ugly, as long as you insist in public on rigid morality.

Cynic, n.  A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.
-Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary

Yep. Feel free to H8...
But don't make it sound too... Honest. At least wacko extremists like Buttars and the Phelps Gang are upfront in their bigotry. They're disgusting, but the "Yes on H8" campaign strategists and these other UT legislators truly horrify me because they try so hard to make their bigotry look "reasonable" and "acceptable".

Act on Principles and make equality happen.

[ Parent ]
How disgusting...
That these H8ers only see "the lightning rod" as the problem and not the content.

Act on Principles and make equality happen.

90%, That is a high number,
These porn consuming Haters are such a high class of people.  As you said, if the number is so high, then why hide your true feelings.

We know by the 62% vote in Florida that 62% hate the gays there, that is a number I can believe.  90% is a bit high, although I have only been in Utah once and didn't spend but 24 hours in SLC.  I would go maybe 80% as I am sure there is atleast 20% of the Utah population that has fair minds.

But still, it is strange that none of these Bigots have the Guts to stand for their convictions out in puplic.  Talk about the closet.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.
