Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Brother Steele bucks party leader Rush

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Mar 02, 2009 at 16:00:00 PM EST

"Playa" Michael Steele better not hate on Rushbo too much, or he's going to find himself bounced right out of that RNC chair pronto. Think Progress has Steele's indignant exchange with D.L. Hughley, who challenges him about the status of the drug-addled radio show blowhard's influence among the Republican movers and shakers.

HUGHLEY: You know what we do, we talk like we're talking now. You have your view. I have mine. We don't need incendiary rhetoric.
STEELE: Exactly.
HUGHLEY: Like Rush Limbaugh, who is the de facto leader of the Republican Party.
STEELE: No, he's not.
HUGHLEY: I will tell you what ...
STEELE: I'm the de facto leader of the Republican Party.
HUGHLEY: You know what? I can appreciate that. But no one will actually decry down some of the things he says. Like when he comes out and says he wants the president to fail. I understand he wants liberalism to fail. Like, I get it's not about the man. But it is still about the idea that he would rather have an idea fail so his idea can move to the forefront. And that would succeed. And that to me is destructive.
STEELE: How is that any different than what was said about George Bush during his presidency?
HUGHLEY: You're absolutely - let me say something. You're absolutely right.
STEELE: So let's put it into context here. Let's put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it's incendiary. Yes, it's ugly.
CHUCK D: You do get a sense that he would say anything.
HUGHLEY: He influences the party. And I tell you what, you're the first Republican I have talked to, and I have talked to a lot, to say he's not the leader of his party. I have never heard anybody say that on any show.

So long will it be before the RNC chair has to bow down and beg for forgiveness from Rush?

***

Speaking of Steele, how is he going to reel in those good-old-boy bigots in his party, as he attempts to bring more flava into the GOP? They just can't help themselves. Take Virginia Delegate Bob Marshall, who compares the stimulus package to, of all things, slavery, saying it is "as much a chain as the ankle bracelets were to African Americans in the 1860s in this state". Watch it below the fold.

Pam Spaulding :: Brother Steele bucks party leader Rush

BONUS: Marshall is also known as "Taliban Bob" for his anti-choice obsession and legislation to end no-fault divorce in the Virginia. Blender Maura, of My Left Nutmeg, had this to say about Bob's legislative activity in 2007.

My favorite bill of Bob Marshall's so far this year redefines ADULTERY in the Virginia code to include specific acts:
For the purposes of this section, "carnal knowledge" includes the acts of sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio, anilingus, and anal intercourse.
Now that Marshall has successfully stopped teh gays from marryin', he wants to make sure they can still be charged with adultery.  Or something.  It all fits in with a slew of other bills he introduced this session about divorce and adultery.  When I first read all of them together I thougth he had an obsession this year with marriages that break up because one partner gets caught bein' on the DL.

Remember, adultery is a felony in Virginia.  As is fornication, I kid you not.  None of us singles in Virginia is allowed to have any sex of any kind, or we're felons under the law.

Will we hear any comment from Brother Steele?

de facto leader
"I'm the de facto leader of the Republican Party."

Steele may get lynched by his own party for saying this, even if he IS being used as a puppet to attract ethnic minorities.

maybe more like de jure leader, not de facto

Yep
And Sister Agnes, God Rest Her Soul, my high school Latin teacher, is so happy I know that.

Steele's spouting Limbaugh's talking points
STEELE: So let's put it into context here. Let's put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment.
"I'm only an entertainer" is Limpball's talking point meant to excuse his hate-filled diatribes.

The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in time of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality. -- John F. Kennedy (inspired by Dante's Inferno)

Honeymoon over, Mr. Steele!
Now time to really meet some of the evil in-laws, like Crazy Cousin Rush.

You know, the one who was so quiet at the church?

Now you know why. As well as why it took your wife, "R NC" ("Our Nancy"?) so long to settle down and commit to you.

Pay attention - this is how it should be done
The Democratic Party and their allies zeroed in on a comment by Limbaugh (I hope Obama fails) and have worked it in. And their biggest help - the ability to spot and manipulate Limbaugh's weakness, which is his ego.

And now that they have put things in place, all there is left to do is watch the dominoes fall on their own.

I would love for us to get the religious right going like that!

does the name Donovan McNabb ring a bell?
isn't what Rush is saying about Steele alot like what he said about McNabb a few years back?

isn't it obvious why Rush is taking Steele down?

Be fair, he was admittedly high as a kite!
From Wiki:

[edit] The Rush Limbaugh Show
Quotes in this section should be provided with air dates, and preferably links to transcripts or published sources.

Too many whites are getting away with drug use...Too many whites are getting away with drug sales...The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too.
(5 October 1995); also quoted in The Palm Beach Post (7 December 2003)

Sorry to say this, I don't think he's been that good from the get-go. I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.
On Donovan McNabb (28 September 2003)

Liberal sportswriters have pushed the notion that it's unfair that there haven't been more black quarterbacks, and I agree with that. I have simply said that their desire for McNabb to do well has caused them to rate him a little higher than perhaps he actually is.
(1 October 2003)

My comment was actually a comment aimed at the media, not even at McNabb. It's not by any stretch of the imagination a putdown. It doesn't say McNabb is bad.
(1 October 2003)

I'm not the one that's even introduced race in this, if you want to know the truth. You can go back. You can read Philadelphia sports media last year, the year before, and you can see that guys have been writing about the great things that Donovan McNabb's success means in a racial context.
(1 October 2003)

I was comparing McNabb's reputation on the field to his reputation in the media. The media has portrayed Donovan McNabb as a great quarterback, and they have credited him almost exclusively with the Eagles' success, and I've always thought that there were more components to the Eagles' success than just the quarterback.
(1 October 2003)

My point Sunday on ESPN was that the defense of the Eagles, I think, deserves a lot of the credit for this team's success. It's a sports opinion, for crying out loud - and I think it's an accurate one.
(1 October 2003)

You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life, so I need to tell you that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to prescription pain medication.
(10 Oct 2003)

Agreed; next he will claim that Steele has been "lifted up" by the media because they wanted a black RNC chair.

I mean, it's not even
just Steele anymore, it's other Republicans that don't have the backbone to stand up Rush. This party is getting ready to fall apart. I believe we are really seeing the beginning of the end.

Window Dressing
It's almost sad. A national (sic) political party whose modern form was begun with Nixon's Southern Strategy, 95% of whose supporters are white, chooses a black man to be its chair and a brown man (Jindal) to be its official spokesperson following the SOTU. Do they honestly believe themselves? Do they think they are fooling anyone else?

Michelle Bachman....
To Steele in a room full of conservatives: "You be da man, Steele!  You be da man!"

Post-racial, my ass.

The Da Man thing is so old,
She might just be catching up on the times.  It was around when the Chicago Bears where refered to as Da Bears'.  But I suppose you could put the pieces together, Obama+Chicago+the Bears, and It might add up. but I am not sure Michele Bucmann's brain can think that far.  But I am sure Buchmann is looking for someone's ear to stick her tongue into, Maybe Steele is her next target.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

[ Parent ]
Not convinced...
Puhleeze...Bachman is whiter than sour cream, with all of the bad trappings that historically (for this country) brings along with it.  She's a Northern Minnesota Lutheran who likely goes to an all-white church, represents a mostly white constituency, and likely associates only with other white people.  I realize that some parts of the country are less diverse than others, so I don't fault her for her environmental situation - but drop the faux ebonics schtick because it's just stupid and offensive.  Steele did the right thing by ignoring it in that situation, but perhaps he should send a dvd copy of Riverdance, some mayonnaise and a Kenny G cd to her office after the conference.

[ Parent ]
SO 1991
"You be da man" is SO 1991.

Next thing you know, Bachmann will bring up "Kriss Kross", "Kid N Play" and "Sugarhill Gang" the next time those 2 idiots are together.

Aaaand
Steele comes crawling back to party leader Rush

"My intent was not to go after Rush - I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh... I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. ... There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership... I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren't what I was thinking, it was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people ... want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he's not."

Steele has apologized to Limpballs!
