The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend: "a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."
He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior."
(CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)
Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).
"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:
A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist." (Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)
"A nutty lesbian blogger." (MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)
Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

See Sam appear to move "forward" while at the same time preemptively putting sand in the gears?
The moonwalk or backslide is a physically complicated dance technique that gained widespread popularity after being performed by Michael Jackson on the 1983 television special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, and has since become his signature move. The purpose of the moonwalk is to give the illusion that the dancer appears to walk forward while actually moving backward.
So, in light of the recent report about gays in the military actually not posing a risk to "unit cohesion", I just wanted to revisit this recent (June 3rd) statement by Sam Nunn:
"I think (when) 15 years go by on any personnel policy, it's appropriate to take another look at it - see how it's working, ask the hard questions, hear from the military. Start with a Pentagon study."
Much has been said over Pedantic Sam asking whether it might be appropriate to "revisit" the policy, but unless I've missed something, I've seen little analysis (of this nature) about Sam's apparent wish coming at least partly true so quickly after he made the statement.
So, about Pedantic Sam, I wonder:
Did he know about this before the report came out? Did he propose revisiting the DADT policy and enmeshing the gears of bureaucracy because he knew?
And, more generally:
What quality of ear stoppers must one have to ignore repeated studies (such as the Rand study of 1993), evidence of pain caused, 12,000 soldiers dismissed for either telling the truth or having a non-militarily relevant truth discovered?
Former Georgia senator Sam Nunn, who helped push through the 1993 "don't ask, don't tell" law that established the terms under which gays and lesbians could serve in the U.S. military, said Tuesday that it's time to review the policy.
"I think [when] 15 years go by on any personnel policy, it's appropriate to take another look at it - see how it's working, ask the hard questions, hear from the military. Start with a Pentagon study," Nunn said.
The former chairman of the Senate Armed Services wouldn't say whether he personally supported putting an end to the policy. Nunn's comments followed a seminar in Atlanta on national service, after which reporters also asked him about the chances that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama might choose him as his running mate.
..."Certainly there are a very large number of gay and lesbian men and women serving honorably in our military today. And they're doing it within the existing law." Pressed for his position on the matter, Nunn said, "I'm not advocating anything - except I'm saying the policy was the right policy for the right time, and times change. It's appropriate to take another look."
Piss on that -- a spot on the ticket is never going to happen, Sam. We have long memories.
There has been talk about former Sen. Sam Nunn (Dixiecrat-GA) as a possible VP for Obama. Most of the speculation revolves around Nunn's experience as a former Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, something that would fend off criticism from the Military McCainiacs.
But as Wayne Besen points out in his column, never mind that Nunn is a conservative Dem, he's an anti-gay Dem.
In April, the conservative southern Democrat articulated his reasons for backing Obama:
"Demonizing the opposition, oversimplifying the issues, and dumbing down the political debate prevent our country from coming together to make tough decisions and tackle our biggest challenges," said Nunn.
This statement was curious, considering Nunn's crass conduct during the fierce 1993 "gays in the military" battle. Instead of leading in a contemplative manner, Nunn exploited his position of power to cheapen the national dialogue and dumb down the debate - the opposite of what he now says he stands for. This "statesman" brazenly exploited every last negative anti-gay stereotype for political gain and temporarily derailed Bill Clinton's nascent presidency in the process. Nunn's grandstanding was an unforgivable act of bigotry and betrayal and helped set back the GLBT movement for years.
